Now one of drawers is dropping onto the next drawer below creating friction when opened or closed. Upon my inspection I found that the left side hardware is loose because the particle board it's attached to is crumbling. Since we are past the one year warranty, we were told that labor to repair this problem would be a minimum of $450. Before this we had several other problems but they were covered under warranty. Kitchen cabinets (slim shaker) came out great and the hardware are working great. 1 star off for the overall communication with the company and our designer. They switched our designer from the North Hollywood office to Anaheim suddenly and it was clear they did not communicate with each other. The designer Catherine knew what she was doing measurement wise but was pretty snobby and had attitude the whole time. Some of the doors were missing on the initial delivery, and the glass doors got delayed 2 times with incorrect deliveries which delayed our whole kitchen finish by about a month. Don't get glass doors. Several handles were damaged on install but they did fix it after I pointed it out. Counter install went fine and took 10 days to arrive. They did try to do us right in the end and the final kitchen was finally finished beautifully but there were definitely frustrating moments throughout the process.

I have posted the entire text chain and an image of an email clearly showing this. The date you're referring to says "Oct 21" as in Oct 21, 2024. Not 2021. It's very telling that you don't even remember a job from only a year ago that was over a week long. You couldn't even be bothered to look up the old invoice to see when this job was? Second of all, the messages in the text photos saying "following up on this" and "following up again" are from ME, not you. That was ME following up with YOU after I said I wanted to go ahead with the repair, and you not answering. So your statement that you have not heard from me is patently untrue. That was ME who hadn't heard from YOU. The text chain clearly shows this. Third, the damage was caused by a complete lack of caulk on the cabinet, not "debris in constant contact." There is no "standing water" and no debris in "constant contact." You're making that up, it simply is not the case. The other side is caulked and is still fine, as I pointed out in my texts. I am aware that paint and caulk can only do so much - but guess what? It can do nothing if you don't actually do it in the first place. I am aware of how wood reacts with water (and it's not wood, because you use mdf, which is far worse). The fact remains that the area was not caulked AT ALL and also that I followed up with you multiple times and received no answer. Do not gaslight me by acting like you "never heard back." I clearly stated that I wanted you to do the repairs and you never got back to me. It's all right there in the texts. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Sadly, I have to echo the other reviews on here about the owner ghosting people. I hired OC Kitchen Designs to reface our kitchen cabinets. They weren't the cheapest but they had good reviews. We experienced problems from the beginning. The job was quoted as going to take 3 days - it took more than a week. The painter took far longer than the 1 day it was supposed to take. He brought his whole family on a Saturday and had his wife and young kids helping - the young kids did not do a great job (they aren't pros and should not have been there). He should have come by himself. I found VERY obvious drips and runs on the main cabinet that gets used the most, right at eye level. Glenn said he would fix it. I asked him if he would spray it so it would look even with the rest and he said yes. When he came, he simply brushed over it, leaving very obvious brush marks and color difference. I could have done that myself!! There were so many issues, in fact, that Glenn ended up giving me $250 off, which was the price of the custom wine rack he put in, "because of all the problems." So I will give him credit for that. But... A while later we discovered that the painter had not caulked a major area right next to the stove. A whole corner hadn't been caulked at all, so moisture and liquid had gotten under it and it started to swell. Since he uses mdf and not actual wood, the swelling was pretty severe. I texted Glenn about it and he tried to indicate that it wasn't his fault because "there was probably caulk there, but it's a kitchen and we aren't responsible for water damage." I build furniture and have a woodworking shop and CNC machine. I know what I'm talking about. I've done major repairs to my home. I hired OC Kitchen Designs because I have two young kids and no time, not because I'm an idiot. I know when something has been caulked and when it hasn't. I told him if he came to see it he would clearly see that his painter screwed this up and didn't caulk it (and I have photos and videos). He said he could fix it for $200. I wasn't happy since I believe you should stand by your work, but I agreed to it. He said he could probably come out the next week, he just had to check on this other job (in line with the excuses he's given other people according to these reviews). I texted to follow up several times and no response. He ghosted me rather than come fix his company's mistake. He's a nice enough guy I guess, but I think he's overscheduled. In any event the ghosting is crazy unprofessional. Now I have to hire somebody else to come fix it.

It was also located right next to the tiles store, so it was a super convenient. We had a quick shopping experience since it was close to closing time and we didn't want to make the 1+ hour drive again another day. We found the vanity we both love in a pretty midnight blue color, that we confirmed is available to order in brushed nickel hardware. That was a 5-star experience... but unfortunately everything from there went downhill. Anthony from the tiles store was our main contact to write up our order including this vanity (same owner for both stores). When our contractor finally was ready for us to pay for the order, we received the invoice that included a $350 delivery fee! Plus a mandatory California "energy surcharge" that's calculated as a % of order. We decided for $350 we can pick up ourselves. Scheduled pickup. Showed up with invoice, confirmed vanity with brushed nickel hardware. Drove around to loading/pickup. Again confirmed brushed nickel hardware. Opened sealed box to check countertop has no crack. Drove slowly back home with the heavy load. The next day, contractor's crew installed the vanity: with wrong hardware AND the color was just not right. I just got a call that "the wrong hardware was given to us" -- GOLD instead of brushed nickel. Our contractor reassured us that he will take care of it, he knows the owner, "no problem, Lily" ...... One month later... still nothing. Contractor forgot and didn't handle it but told us instead "the store didn't get back to him." By that time there were TONS of issues going on with the nightmare bathroom project that was going on 2+ months. The store now claims the hardware is NOT available in brushed nickel but we can pick from a bunch of hardware options that they will mail out to us instead, with no extra charges. We picked the one that's closest to the look and feel of the original hardware. They first claimed it was not available in the size we needed for our vanity. But that was apparently just another excuse (read on... later it turned into "it's too expensive/an upgrade we can't give you") We had to send them (supposedly the expert people working at this store) specs and pictures to show them that the hardware we picked had THREE sets of holes and it DOES fit our vanity. No apologies whatsoever, after WE had to spend more time in this. We were assured (again) that they will mail us the new hardware asap. 3 weeks later... still nothing! I've been patient enough. By now the nightmare bathroom project was wrapping up.... 10+ weeks, unbelievable! Lots of problems were out of our control, but this hardware issue is the one thing I can so something about. I got on the phone and escalated this "mistake order" and was then told "we cannot give you the hardware you picked because it would be an upgrade" I immediately sent AP stone countertops ALL the proofs showing a trail of paperwork from order confirmation, texts, pickup receipt, etc. and called them out on this failure of customer service. They grudgingly then agreed to mail out the hardware replacement we needed. What started as "great customer service" apparently only lasted up until we paid the invoice in FULL before pickup. Super disappointed in how they handled their mistakes, pointing fingers at each other, and putting us through unnecessary stress. Do not recommend dealing with such unprofessional salesmen. A straightforward vanity purchase turned into a whole nightmare and cost us a lot of wasted time and uncalled for frustration and stress. We will never trust a contractor referral, no matter how much we trusted that contractor... without doing our own due diligence and research for other customer reviews and satisfaction.
