I've been going to both Proliance ENT offices several times the past year, and every time has been top notch. Definitely one of those "You never want to have to go to a doctor, but if you do then go to this one" situations. The building is a bit hard to find due to the sheer size of the hospital, but the staff is fantastic. I came in for a followup on a procedure, and it honestly felt like I was just getting my car tuned up. Efficient experience, I was in and out in about 5 minutes, and yet everyone took the time to make sure I had no questions or concerns. Just an overall great experience. read more

Proliance has rolled up an absurd share of the local ENT market, and they act like it. The doctors are fine, but the admin is incredibly callous. They couldn't give a flying f@#% if you are screaming in pain after surgery ... they'd still rather buy a slightly bigger boat than pay someone to answer the phone. I was a bit worried about this place due to the terrible Yelp reviews, but I personally had a wonderful experience. They answered the phone without much wait, the scheduler was courtious, and I made an appointment to see Dr. Anh Truong. An appointment wasn't available for a month, which is unfortunate but seems to be the reality for medical specialists in general these days. There office is very nice in the beautiful Overlake Pavilion. There's parking (I think it's free for an hour), a Starbucks in the lobby, a Beecher's mac&cheese bar one building over, and beautiful views of downtown Bellevue and foothills from the high-floor office. I came about 30 minutes early and the doctor didn't see me until like 15 minutes late, but again that's common and not-necessarily their fault. The person before me probably came late or needed extra time. Dr. Truong explained the issue clearly, performed two quick procedures, and soon had me on my way. They have much better (and more) reviews on Google, but that's probably because they send an SMS link after your appointment. The link asks you how your appointment was and then directs you to leave a Google review only if you clicked thumbs-up. So that part is a little sleazy and biases the reviews. read more

Scheduling system is atrocious. Nobody in scheduling answers the phone and you are forced to leave a message and then wait for a call back sometime in the next "two business hours". Nevermind if you have work meetings or are otherwise occupied. If you happen miss the call back guess what? You get a voicemail telling you to call them again and leave another message to start the dance all over again. I'm sorry- aren't we paying them? They should be embarrassed. Just a horrible customer experience. Please fix it. read more

I was just hung up by Kim, they refuse to schedule appointments. Waited on hold and asked to speak to a manager and Kim said I am tired and no longer want to work, she then hung up. This is so odd, I have no idea about this practice but never been told by an operator I don't want to help today!! then just hang up, no taking or words, just hung up. This practice might be a scam, who knows since you wait on hold then have someone tell you they can't work anymore. read more

One Yelp one-star review does not drive me away. Multiple will, but it is to be expected that people either love or hate their doctor. I find myself rating my experience here in the middle. I have had sinus issues for a long time, but had not really been taking anything to address it. Finally went to Eastside ENT to seek treatment. Location is in a Bellevue business park. The parking lot is a bit tight and hilly. This sounds like a ridiculous thing to point out in a doctor's review, but I would care about this. And think someone else out there would too. Anyways on to the treatment. I thought the medical staff here was attentive. The diagnosis and bedside manner was professional, albeit a bit methodical I must say. I did get prescribed a few things that have helped my sinus issues. I did dock off a star because of the sticker shock with the medical bill. Who knew nasal endoscopies (the one where they stick a tube up your nose) were so expensive. If anything, this made me realize how health care costs have exponentially soared. I guess I never knew it since I was covered as a dependent for most of my life and am only now footing the bill. My experience here was fine overall. You come for the expertise and I got the treatment that I needed here which is the most important thing. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Jennifer Heydt. She is a wonderful specialist! She fixed my deviated septum and now I can properly breathe again and I don't snore anymore. The staff is super friendly. The only problem I've had is that sometimes the parking lot fills up. Also since it's in Bellevue you should book your appointment outside of rush hour. read more

Dr. Jennifer Heydt did a spectacular job removing my thyroid. She said half should go (after confirming with endocrinologist Dr. Mercado) and warned me the other half might need to go. Turned out the whole thing went but she also got all the cancer, so no further intervention required. Woo hoo! There was a 36 hour recovery period at the outstanding Overlake Hospital. No pain meds required. When I removed the dressing a couple days later it was clean--nothing at all. Have had several operations but that never happened before. I don't care if my surgeon has a sunny personality or not, but just so you know, she's plenty personable and laughed at my dad jokes, which makes her a humanitarian as well. read more

Dr. Heydt seriously lacks empathy, and is incredibly arrogant. I saw an urgent care doctor who told me I had a peritonsillar abscess and referred me to see an ENT. I came to Dr. Heydt with a throat and neck so swollen I could no longer eat or drink, a 103+ degree fever I'd had for 5 days straight, weight loss and violent shaking. She said "you probably just have the flu." Yet, she did not offer any tests for this or anything else. I was dehydrated, and told her I was worried. She said "I can't do anything about that." She completely brushed off a highly immunocompromised (I have two autoimmune diseases so am on two potent immunosuppressant drugs) and very ill person. Later on, I ended up in the ER. They ran several tests and found she was wrong - it was not "just the flu". Please consider another doctor. There are plenty of wonderful specialists who will listen to you, without rushing, and with true empathy for your situation. read more

I started my consultation for a tonsillectomy a year ago with one of the ENTs that retired right after I saw him. Back then the reviews were amazing for this company, but I was a little disappointed to see some of the very negative reviews that have been written since I was last here. I decided to continue with this company regardless of the reviews and have been pleasantly surprised by how well I've been treated throughout this process. Stephanie Jaeger has been so helpful getting me scheduled quickly and keeping me informed while getting my process started and done swiftly (less then a week). Dr. Eisen saw me before my surgery and preformed my surgery, he is very professional and kind. I'm on day 3 of recovering from my surgery and it was preformed perfectly without any issues. I forget the gals name in billing but she had a bubbly personality and I didn't end up with any problems with billing. All in all the staff is very diligent, this office is clean and orderly. read more

I felt I had subpar evaluation. I was sent by an audiologist because of a difference in hearing between inner ear and middle ear. The doctor I had (female) spent all of 30 seconds to say "it's [THIS]" without even evaluating or checking anything. This is AFTER they left me in office to wait for the doctor for 20-30 minutes. When she diagnosed what she claimed it was (without evaluation), her response w as to tell me to schedule another appointment with her partner who did surgeries for that condition. I really felt like the appointment was a complete waste of my time. If I'd just got other doctor (luck of draw) in the first place, I could have done all in one appointment and not been delayed another week and having to pay another $30 copay. read more

I had an ear issue and googled to find an ent nearby to go see. I chose east side ent, called and they were able to get me in same day. I appreciate that the receptionist took my concern seriously and offered a 130pm and 11am appointment. I took the 11am and headed straight over. They took my insurance and checked me in. Now I will say the wait was long. Pretty long to see the doc. BUT I still give it 5 stars. Here is why They got me in same day The receptionists were really friendly The nurse was friendly and quick The doctor was able to quickly diagnose my issue AND immediately took me into a procedure room and retrieved 3 pieces of hair out of my ear which was causing the issue. I felt better immediately. I appreciate that he fixed my problem in the same visit and didn't tell me "nothing was wrong". It was totally worth my time spent at this office because my issue was remedied instead of getting the run around. The doc was also careful and explained what he was doing. I felt secure having him use instruments in my ears which I was a bit nervous about. Also totally not necessary but a sweet gesture - the receptionist gave me a Starbucks card for the long wait. read more

I was originally a patient of Dr. Dawson and was directed to Dr. Heydt because Dawson no longer worked in the field I needed, which was diagnosed by Heydt as a Septoplasty. I can't be more happy with my experience w/ Dr. Heydt. I found her human, personable, engaged and very friendly and quick to smile...which made the whole experience as enjoyable as it could be despite having surgery and tools stuck in my nose. She is highly accomplished and professional, has been awarded several top doctor awards and was previously the chief resident at the UW Department of Otolaryngology. I WILL agree that some of the results of the front office are lacking and somewhere their process is broken but the actual people behind the counter are very nice and try hard. The bottom line was a very successful surgery which was preceded by tons of information so I knew what was going to happen. A surgery day that was comfortable, efficient and handled professionally and two follow-up appointments to measure the healing process. I think Jennifer Heydt is worth a lobby you might not like, the chance you might have to go all the way to Bellevue or Kirkland or a delayed appointment. read more

She might be the best doctor in the Seattle area in her field, but her people skills are lacking. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a doctor's office visit. We just didn't click. The medical care we received from Dr. Young was fine. However, the billing was not - which to me is an integral part of a fair, patient-centered practice. For an office visit as a new patient and simple diagnostic laryngoscopy (all in a single outpatient visit) with Dr. William G Young Jr. we were charged $202 and $588 respectively. That charge includes the negotiated discount from our major insurer. Dr. Young is in network for our provider. As a point of comparison, the maximum Medicare allowable for the same procedures would be $130 and $220 respectively. Online averages for fair prices for these same procedures are closer to $150 and $300. I contacted the billing office to better understand why we were billed almost double a reasonable rate and they basically explained that they bill this much because our insurance allows it. The medical care was fine, but this office is charging far too much. Ask for pricing before being seen here. read more

Dr. Hedyt did an amazing job on my thyroidectomy. I was very nervous about the procedure and already came in with fears that I read on the internet. It wasn't anything like I thought it would be. The surgery went smoothly, the recovery was much quicker than I expected, and I so happy with the results! I left off a star for the staff. Dates and times for appointments and the surgery were not communicated properly, as well as some other small nuisance issues which led to confusion at times, but overall I am super pleased with the results and the care that Dr. Hedyt gave me. I would use her again if I had to, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a total thyroidectomy. read more

My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Heydt to help correct a breathing issue I had with my nose. The exam, surgery, and post-op were performed efficiently. Dr. Heydt, the nurses at the surgery center, the staff at the clinic, and the anesthesia doctor were very professional, and treated me with respect and care. I had my primary physician do nothing about my arthritic finger and my dermatologist recommended I go to a hand surgeon and I happened across dr Anderson he removed my cyst in my finger cleaned up the arthritic joint. I was referred to Dr. Heydt by my regular physician. After waiting 60 minutes in the waiting room with no reason as to why I was waiting I finally left. How rude and inconsiderate! The office staff KNEW when I got there that the doctor was obviously way behind but they made me sit there any way. Dr. Eric Pinczower is an absolutely horrible doctor, by far the worst I have ever had in my life. I had a paritonsilar abscess and was in a lot of pain and could not talk at all. Dr. Pinczower was called in to drain the abscess as it is a procedure that needs a specialist. I first noticed that Eric was a horrible person when I saw how he talked to his nurses. He was just flat out rude and demeaning. He treated me like I was a child, incredibly demeaning. The procedure involves, slicing a sizable cut in your throat, then pushing hard on every part of the huge, infected, painful abscess until the puss comes out. When I asked to take a quick break from the pain He rolled his eyes over and over and kept saying that I needed to hurry up because he had 30 minutes of paperwork to do, WHAT DOCTOR TREATS HIS PATIENTS LIKE THIS? He kept tapping his feet on the ground like I was completely ruining his day, WHY ARE YOU A DOCTOR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HELP YOUR PATIENTS? The worst part is that I was in so much pain that I could not defend myself. Never go to this doctor as he is a lousy doctor and a bad person. His practice does not deserve yours or your insurance company's money. read more

I just got off the phone to schedule a new patient appointment with one of the physicians at Proliance Eastside ENT. My insurance just switched over in September and that meant I hadn't met my deductible yet, so they refused to even schedule an appointment. I asked if that would change if I put a $500 deposit down and the receptionist stated that she would "check with a manager." She also offered to give me the phone number of Bellevue ENT if I wanted to go somewhere else (as if Bellevue ENT would sink to level of seeing me). I am in healthcare myself and have never heard of such a policy. It made me feel like a second-class citizen and I will never use the services of this facility. It's too bad, really because after reviewing lots of the top ENT docs in Bellevue, I chose one at Eastside ENT. Originally my first choice had been a top physician in downtown Seattle, but I decided that the drive would be a pain. After my phone experience at Eastside ENT I called up the downtown Seattle physician's office and they were more than gracious about setting up an appointment regardless of my deductible status. Note to whoever is in charge over there at Eastside: you may already be busy enough that you don't have to see a patient that might need to be billed in addition to insurance, but it says a lot about your clinic and physicians...clearly money is what matters the most. I didn't have a good experience at this clinic. I made my appointment for the Kirkland location, and confirmed it twice with the receptionist. I waited more than 2 weeks to get in, and when they called to confirm the appointment, they told me it was for the Bellevue location, and if that wasn't okay I would be waiting another 2 weeks. I had to take time off work to go. When I got there, I was informed they were running more than an hour late. When I finally got into see Dr. Heydt she seemed like a very good doctor, but the scheduling was a mess and I haven't gone back. read more
