Overcooked and cold
Chad W.

Had breakfast with buddy this morning at Prolgue. I was looking forward to it but left unfortunately underwhelmed. Now service was absolutely amazing. 5 stars for sure on service. The food on other hand was the problem. Ordered my eggs over medium. Most of my yokes were cooked hard. My toast most certainly was toasted and set aside hours before. Like one of the chefs just toasted tons of bread just so they'd have it ready. It was cold and tough. My potatoe hash was luke warm. My friend got the crabcake Benedict. His poached eggs were like way over cooked hard boiled eggs and the hollandaise sauce was way too thick. Couldn't even pour it over .

10/10 Jasmine was wonderful and had great customer service and the decor of this place is super cute. The Brussel sprouts were a hit and the NY strip with mashed potatoes. The dining area had great lighting where it was dim but not too much where you couldn't see the menu. The salmon was a little bland but the pasta sauce was good so it made up for it. The rooftop upstairs was a great nightcap to end the night, (no fireplace or heaters yet) so we decided to order one more drink inside. This area is super cute for date nights or just a date with gals

I dined here during a staycation and sat at the bar. The bartender was great and very friendly. I ordered a mocktail which was very good. For my entree I ordered the cioppino which was very good but the portion size is very small and not filling at all.

Shrimp & grits and a French 75

I recently visited Prologue for dinner. I was so ready to order the bbq pork chop with the peach glaze, but I was sad to hear that they don't have it anymore. However, the bar tender suggested the shrimp & grits and it was good & filling. The bar tenders always make a good French 75. The service was great as always.

I love this place. The food is great. Best French fries ever. Service is top tier. The prices are so reasonable. My BFF's and I were celebrating a birthday and we laughed, ate and had an overall great night. Highly recommended.

Banana Bread French Toast - Looked great but no taste!

Disappointing breakfast for such a nice place. At breakfast, the eating area is nice but right off the main walkway so guests are passing by. Service started slow & spotty but improved at very end. Wife got pancakes, I got banana bread French toast. Both looked great but had NO flavor. Very odd. We actually began to wonder if our taste was gone but we could taste the bacon (extra side & tasty), coffee (so-so), and oolong tea (no black breakfast tea, which is another gripe). Anyway, it was a lot of money ($50 + tip) for no taste.

Our dinner at Prologue was amazing! Everyone was friendly and welcoming throughout the entire experience. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate. Our server, Yanni, was knowledgeable and offered recommendations. The menu has something for everyone including the cocktails. Great place!

I was very excited to go to the town of Trillith and try out restaurants in the area. Me and some friends decided to try out prologue for just a girls night out dinner. We were not disappointed! Prologue is located inside of Trillith guest house hotel. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. Very modern sleek design. Now let's talk about the food. Everything was so good. We started off with the fried green tomatoes that had pulled pork on top of it. I'm not a tomato girl, but tried these, and was pleasantly surprised. The brussels sprouts are a amazing. It throws you off by seeing all the mustard seeds on them . But you do not get a mustardy taste it all. It has bacon and this amazing sauce that's mixed in with it. We also had the short rib Bolognese. Delicious! My friend had the coffee crusted ribeye. You didn't get a coffee taste on it at all. Very unique flavors in these dishes. We also had the harissa rub whole chicken wings. Which were great they were grilled. I wish they would've been grilled just a little harder just because I have a texture thing with softer chicken, but they were so good. And the last thing we had one of the roasted garlic fries, which were highly recommended by, the waitress, but those disappoint me. I was not getting a roasted garlic flavor at all. Look very pretty tasted eh. Whoever the chef is, is a culinary genius and super creative with these dishes. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone for a date night, birthday, anniversary or just because you were a great meal.

Service needs to be improved and match the prices. Chaotic service and not polished.

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.
