We made a reservation ahead of time, but were surprised to find the dining room empty on a Thursday evening. Aside from two couples enjoying drinks at the bar, we practically had the restaurant to ourselves, which made for a peaceful, relaxed experience. Since Prologue is located inside the Trilith Guesthouse, don't be surprised if hotel guests pass through the library and bar areas; it adds to the boutique hotel ambiance without taking away from the dining experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. Our meals arrived promptly, were beautifully presented, and exceeded expectations. Chef's kiss to the shrimp and grits! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the creamy grits paired beautifully with the buttery, flavorful sauce. The espresso martini was smooth, rich, and one of the highlights of the evening. Honorable mention goes to the pickled shrimp appetizer; it was fresh, bright, and a unique way to start the meal. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it an excellent choice for a date night, dinner with friends, or a special occasion. Between the attentive service, delicious food, and sophisticated setting, I would absolutely recommend Prologue and look forward to returning to try more of the menu. read more

Every bite of everything we ordered was a flavor, texture explosion. My compliments to the chef! Also, I simply don't understand the low Yelp rating. Service was impeccable, too. True to hubs nature, his eyes are bigger than his stomach and he over orders wanting to try numerous entrees. My Southern Baby Wedge featured a quartered baby iceberg head that was super crisp and crunchy. It was beautifully garnished with blue cheese crumbles, tri colored cherry tomatoes, crisp bacon and pickled onions. The creamy dressing was a wonderful accompaniment. The several bites hubs shared of his Smash Burger were DELISH and the fresh thinly sliced onions and lettuce provided a nice crunch. Drippy, beefy, cheesy goodness! Hubs add on of Blueberry Pancakes were equally as fantastic as the other items we ordered. I loved the unique combo of flavors-blueberries, maple, lemon zest, vanilla bean - so yummy! Had breakfast with buddy this morning at Prolgue. I was looking forward to it but left unfortunately underwhelmed. Now service was absolutely amazing. 5 stars for sure on service. The food on other hand was the problem. Ordered my eggs over medium. Most of my yokes were cooked hard. My toast most certainly was toasted and set aside hours before. Like one of the chefs just toasted tons of bread just so they'd have it ready. It was cold and tough. My potatoe hash was luke warm. My friend got the crabcake Benedict. 10/10 Jasmine was wonderful and had great customer service and the decor of this place is super cute. The Brussel sprouts were a hit and the NY strip with mashed potatoes. The dining area had great lighting where it was dim but not too much where you couldn't see the menu. The salmon was a little bland but the pasta sauce was good so it made up for it. The rooftop upstairs was a great nightcap to end the night, (no fireplace or heaters yet) so we decided to order one more drink inside. Took my family to the Prologue for an after Christmas brunch for the first time. Some members had been there prior. The ambiance was low key, spacious and comfortable. The decor was great! The ambiance is great, but the drink prices have nearly doubled. My coworkers and I have been coming here for over a year since we work in Trilith, and dirty martinis were consistently $16. Today, they were $26 each. When I asked about the bill, the server explained it was due to a 3-ounce pour, which was never mentioned beforehand. But the service was so awful it was hard to enjoy ourselves. It that it seemed like none of the staff had ever worked in a restaurant before. I watched at least 8 occasions where the wait staff couldn't figure out where drinks or food were to be delivered. There were only 8 tables seated on our side. We waited too long for our drinks. But the drinks were great and looked beautiful. If water was refilled, only half table received refills. We couldn't get anyone's attention for refills, etc. despite two individuals standing near our table for most of the meal. They didn't help our waiter and demanded to remove items from the table. They put their hands fully in our drinks while removing them. They would dump my silverware on the table off a plate. They didn't offer new silverware. They then decided to move furniture for a group sitting about three feet away. While one of our party was in the restroom, her chair was abruptly yanked from the table and another table was pushed past us while we were eating. Eventually another chair was given to us but it really startled me and disrupted our meal. Our appetizers and entrees were all fantastic. I would love for this restaurant to do well at Trilith but they must get an experienced wait staff. It was hard to enjoy the meal. read more

I was very excited to go to the town of Trillith and try out restaurants in the area. Me and some friends decided to try out prologue for just a girls night out dinner. We were not disappointed! Prologue is located inside of Trillith guest house hotel. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. Very modern sleek design. Now let's talk about the food. Everything was so good. We started off with the fried green tomatoes that had pulled pork on top of it. I'm not a tomato girl, but tried these, and was pleasantly surprised. The brussels sprouts are a amazing. It throws you off by seeing all the mustard seeds on them . But you do not get a mustardy taste it all. It has bacon and this amazing sauce that's mixed in with it. We also had the short rib Bolognese. Delicious! My friend had the coffee crusted ribeye. You didn't get a coffee taste on it at all. Very unique flavors in these dishes. We also had the harissa rub whole chicken wings. Which were great they were grilled. I wish they would've been grilled just a little harder just because I have a texture thing with softer chicken, but they were so good. And the last thing we had one of the roasted garlic fries, which were highly recommended by, the waitress, but those disappoint me. I was not getting a roasted garlic flavor at all. Look very pretty tasted eh. Whoever the chef is, is a culinary genius and super creative with these dishes. My family went for my mother in law's birthday, and we thought we were going for dinner. It turned out we were still in the brunch zone. The food was okay, and a bit pricey, but the ambiance was amazing! One side of the building is very "dining hall" vibes, and the other side is giving lounge. We started with the wings, Brussels and Fried green tomatoes. All were excellent although the tomatoes were a bit small. My trout with the broccolini and fingerling potatoes were excellent. Visited Prologue for Easter buffet 2025. Food was ok but the ambience was awesome. Hoping the food taste improves because it is upscale dining in my back door. Driving from Fayette County to downtown Atlanta and its traffic is a downer for me. Tried Prologue when it first opened and will try again this summer. Easter was my fifth visit. First I will say the service and attention for a group of 20, was excellent. The food had mixed reviews. Beef overcooked probably sat under warming light too long. Attentive staff, creative menu, beautiful surroundings . . . I dined alone as I travelled and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I don't know that I would order any of the items again, but I enjoyed them nonetheless. Being in Georgia, I felt an order of fried green tomatoes made sense. (They are on the dinner vs. bar menu.). I would opt to order next time without the meat on top, but they were crunchy and delicious. My entree was scallops in coconut cream curry, butternut purée, purple rice. The tomatoes on top made the bites wonderful - giving them the perfect acidity - beautifully prepared scallops and wonderfully composed dish. The chocolate (4 ways) and pecan dessert was too decadent for one - get it as a shareable. I personally preferred the dark chocolate as it added enough bitterness to the very sweet praline and ice cream. I could not finish the milk chocolate ganache nor the white chocolate sauce. Stayed at Trilith Guesthouse so we grabbed a snack and a drink at the Prologue bar. We ordered the brussel sprouts and "garlic" fries. A few minutes after ordering we saw one of the staff carrying an order of fries back to the kitchen and he mentioned to his co worker that they didn't like their fries. Our order arrived and the brussel sprouts were delicious! Soooo good. Great flavors. As far as the fries, there was no garlic flavor (and actually, no flavor at all) and there was a red sauce (not ketchup) drizzled on them. They were also not hot. Very cute shape of the fries, but my recommendation is to elevate the flavor. Make them truffle and Parmesan. Serve them hot. Maybe with a dipping sauce instead of the sauce drizzled on them. I had an opportunity to have breakfast at Prologue. I had the regular breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon, and potato wedges. The food was tasty and warm. The seating is a little tight but adequate since there was only about 12 people present. Our server, Kalyma, was very pleasant and efficient. I realize this is an upscale location, but I was still surprised at the cost of my breakfast. I will still return if i stay there again. read more

Where to begin...terrible Valentine dinner at Prologue....went back next day to talk to someone.. after waiting 45 minutes...then asked to talk to the CEO ... finally Diane, manager of all food and beverages came an listened an said she would call the next day...never cared enough to call so here goes....Valentine dinner felt like eating catered food on an airplane...probably catered in the food....the dessert bar room....what a joke...no imagination....they cut a cupcake in half little icing an wanted to sprinkle gram crackers on top....felt like a high school band party...our party of 5 spent over $600....don't waste your money.....since they don't care will never ever go back....I have eaten at every restaurant at Trilith and they are really good except Prologue. read more
