There is a major design flaw in the FW-89 Lying Leg Curl/Leg Extension machine. When doing a lying leg curl, the knee needs to be positioned so that the knee is in line with the pivot point of the machine. (see photo) But when a person does that, all the weight and pressure is focused on one point of the front quad (see photo). This is VERY painful to the quad. This is due to the roller pads. On other lying leg curl machines (including Promaxima ones), the weight and pressure is distributed along the whole front quad because a flat pad is used, not roller pads. The cylindrical shape focuses all the weight on one point. Promaxima does not want to try to correct this, even when I offered to pay for the correction. Their customer service is just lip service. Recommend you try their equipment before buying it. read more

Dishonest and stupid salesman. I ordered and installed interlocking tiles. They had them in stock but after I installed them they were yellowed on the seams. Probably from being left in the sun. They said they would order new ones if I paid for shipping. The new ones have a totally different percentage of white speckle. Not even close. That wouldn't be a problem if they were replacing the entire floor. Not the case. The idiot for a salesman said its impossible to match exactly. Sure - because you ordered the WRONG PERCENTAGE of speckle. I said just give me back my yellowed ones and I will have to live with them. He said "first you need to pay the $600 in shipping on the new tiles". Tiles that this moron ordered incorrectly. I purchased around $75,000 of gym equipment from these amateur's and it was nothing but problems. That should have been my first clue...there is a reason for all the 1 star reviews. read more

It takes a lot for me to leave a review but I have been through a lot with this company. I purchased $14,000 in equipment and waited patiently only to show up and it be the wrong dumbbells and racks once I got there. I took what was correct since I was there. Waited several months and was told it was finally ready. Rented a truck and had a friend take off work to go get it, only to be told that it was in fact not ready and someone would call me back. A month went by and I was called to ask when I was coming to get the equipment. I explained I was told it wasn't ready the last time I was on the way so Phil said "let me look into it". another week went by and I eventually canceled my order. They refunded me but only for the equipment I was unable to collect and refused to give me a refund on the part of the order I cannot use. I am legally entitled to a full refund as the original order was never fulfilled, yet I sit on $3000 plus worth of benches I can no longer use. Extremely unprofessional. No one knows what is going on there. I wasn't even offered an apology. For a business to do this to a gym owner of all people in the wake of a pandemic is appalling. They did an exceptional job from taking my floor plan (650 sq.ft.) to selecting the equipment (11 pieces) and installation! I was able to select the upholstery and the frame color of equipment . . . other manufactures do not offer this option. As to the equipment; OMG it is incredible, very smooth and very well manufactured. This is my second time that have purchased from PROMAXIMA as they are very customer centric. I have purchased equipment in the past from pro maxima, well no problem, My past order was free weight equipment, lat machine, leg Extension, 700 lbs of dumbbells for my home gym. I just ordered more equipment today , new bench, shoulder chair and Pec machine and Danelia was so much help, She helped me with transportation to Alaska and she did an exceptional job." Made in America" that's the difference ! I have had Promaxima now for 7 years and no issues with equipment, it is tuff, durable, smooth and same recommended from my military buddies. So ,if you're looking for a great gym, go free weight ,that's what I use. After all my gym is my living room. Well the only thing I can say here is, as a business owner i do understand that you cannot please everyone. I also think long and hard about writing a review good or bad because of the impact on the business. Push has come to shove and I am writing a review, calling the better BBB and speaking to my attorney about exactly what options exists. Suffice it to say I am not an novice at buying big ticket items. Over $1M sourced in purchases last year with $175k going to these folks. So why is that I am trying like heck to get a $500 repair done only to be delayed, bewildered, insulted and even hung up on. As a matter of fact I used a finance company to lease equipment and they were shocked at the poor service, so much so that they will never finance a deal for this company again. I have contacted the owner of the company, the sales reps, the COO and anyone who will listen and they all have been ineffective at a simple request. In the middle of our problems the service manager changed for the 4th time in a year and this poor guy doesn't have a chance because his company has more problems then Carter has pills. How hard can it be to work of a list of issues and follow up until they are fixed? Not hard at all, unless you are at Promaxima. From what I can see Bob the owner and John the COO have their hands in the cookie jar to the extent that they may even tell their employees NOT to send techs out and NOT to order replacement parts. No wonder the service managers keep turning over.... I feel bad for the employees here because you can feel the mafia mentality from the leaders of this company. I take the time to review for one reason - to save you the buyer the grief. If you spend $10k, $20k, $50k or more you should be happy or at least content. IF you decide to spend that type of money do with just about anyone besides these guys. read more

This is not about equipment, this is about one of their truck drivers. Today coming out of Naples Florida on I 75 north bound, I encountered one of their trucks that kept cutting cars off coming so close one time that the driver had to go into the other lane almost causing a multi car accident. This driver, in the fushia green cab with the name of PromaxIma name on the cab with the number of #2193 on it was traveling at least 85-90 miles an hour. How do I know this, I tried getting to the front of the cab to get the information and could never catch up with him due to my lane traffic and my husband made me back off. The only way I did get the information was he got trapped and I passed him but shortly he came flying by me again like I was standing still. He was in and out of his lane like a race car driver sometimes going out of his lane on the side of the road when he cut back into the right hand lane. I tried to call the company but was transferred to a line where only a voice mail was taking messages. I left my number however don't foresee a return call. By reading the other comments obviously they have little to no control over their drivers. Tells you a lot about the company! PS. I just received a call from the company and their logistics manager assured me that he had in truck tracking and he would take care of this matter. For some reason, I do think he will handle this in an appropriate manner. I thank him for listening! read more

Things go downhill very fast after your payment. Shipping and Logistics department and customer service is absolutely terrible. Calls are not returned. Emails are ignored completely.
