The facilities are well maintained, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable visit. Whether for fitness, recreation, or social time, the space feels thoughtfully designed. The staff is professional, friendly, and always helpful. The overall environment is welcoming and well organized, making it easy to relax and enjoy your time there. Overall, Memorial City/Club delivers quality service and a great experience. I would highly recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

But it does seem a bit elitist, and also I think the fact that it opens at 5:30 can be a bit of a problem, because if you work here at Memorial City and you start at 8, that might be okay as long as you only want a quick workout, but if you work somewhere else in Houston and you start even as late as 9 then good luck getting done with a 2-hour workout and getting to work in time.

When I first met with one of the managers, Tyler, he assured me that he genuinely wanted to help me lose weight and improve my health. He sold me a personal training package and promised to provide two complimentary training sessions each month. His sincerity earned my trust, and I believed he was invested in helping me succeed. Unfortunately, it didn't take long to realize those promises were empty. On multiple occasions, I arrived for scheduled training sessions only to find that Tyler wasn't there, or he could train me or he would waste my training time. He never made arrangements for another trainer to cover the session or even communicated that he would be absent. The level of professionalism was completely unacceptable. When I questioned him about the complimentary sessions he had promised, he denied ever making the offer and claimed he had never used that promise to persuade me to purchase training that I would not have purchased if he had been honest about the number of sessions I would receive. I felt misled and taken advantage of. I escalated my concerns to the management team and eventually spoke with the Regional Manager, Ed, hoping someone would take my concerns seriously. Instead, I was met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of accountability. There was no apology, no willingness or effort to make things right. I was simply told by Ed that I should have read the contract and that if I wanted out of my training contract, I would have to pay to buy out the remaining sessions. After making multiple trips to the club over more than 3 weeks to try to resolve the situation, I finally canceled my membership. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay an additional $420 just to end my relationship with a company that had failed to deliver the service it promised. What disappointed me most wasn't just Tyler's conduct or Ed's unprofessionalism--it was LA Fitness's decision to stand behind poor customer service rather than support a loyal customer.
