Of course,…read moreI was a bit fearful, last time the tech squeezed the living lights out of me, I was tearing up so I had pumped myself up. I mentioned this to the new tech, and she was shocked at how painful it was for me. She said it isn't normal for it to hurt. Fun fact, I did not know caffeine will make your breast tissue sensitive, so avoid it the day of the procedure. After a lively and informative chat, she showed me how the machine actually works and that it's not meant to cause pain. Her name was Carrie and she was a godsend. This time it didn't hurt at all. I left more knowledgeable and empowered.

I wouldn't go anywhere else but RMI, the staff is Awesome and even truly Cares about each patient…read morelike family. Dr. H is one in a Million, the best Physician I've known in 50 years and just like the staff Truly cares about each patient. He's also very understanding, going above and beyond to help, that made my heart Smile. Thank you Dr. H and here's a virtual hug, respectfully. If you need any type of x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, etc., this is the Only place you should try, honestly they really are the BEST. I'd give RMI Ten stars if I could!!

When one drives in from the entrance way one looks over to the left and sees this cream colored building, that could pass for an old office building or apartment complex, only when you are nearer to it huge letters and signs state "EMERGENCY" and "AMBULANCE" lets you know that this in fact is a hospital. The directions are quite good, and one soon finds oneself at the area one needs to be at. The check-in process is handled by a nice friendly and smiling filipino nurse, and one feels instantly at home or maybe a hotel for the night. The sleep-study room is aptly decorated with a closet a bathroom a bed and a tv. You are told that it is a painless procedure and they will hook you up when you are relaxed and ready. It even has free wifi so one can yelp!! The room looks clean and cozy. Does not smell like a hospital at all. And I will finish my review of this place tomorrow morning when I am ready to go home. Next morning: woken up at 7:10am sleep study done. Will know outcome in 2weeks stated the nice friendly lab tech. You are all set to go just fill up the questionnaire before you do. I thanked him and hurriedly dressed up to leave. The bed was kinda hard coupled with all the wire hookups from head to toe I won't say I had the best sleep last night. I remember waking up and tossing and turning quite a bit, and normally I sleep like a log. But overall I slept. That is what I came here to do. I will probably go home and go back to a few hrs sleep. But then again I may not because after driving for the next 33 miles I think I would wake up totally. Overall, nice clean and quiet place. And it is a cancer institute. So if I know anyone with cancer I will surely recommend this place.

The lack of professionalism and bedside manner is heinous. Not to mention the place is disgusting, dirty, and the walls are falling apart. It's unfortunate because some of the techs here are sweet. Update: I'm assuming it was the manager calling me back. She was monotone and less than helpful really. Said she'd "address the situation". Offered to rebook me but I told her I won't be back, my doc will send my referral elsewhere.

I will…read morereiterate it here, since their incompetent office staff is complicit in all of the confusion, and only to add that when I tried to get things straightened out about what my 77 year old mother owed for her services with their office staff, I spoke to a woman (did not catch her name), who took my info and complaint and told me she would hand it over to another woman named Judy, who I got both a phone call (on my phone) and an email (my email). The email basically stated she can't speak with me about anything but try contacting the collection agency. My mother verified it was okay for the staff to speak with me with the first woman I spoke to. Nothing but a frickin unnecessary song and dance, and St Joes is DONE. Never will we go there for anything again. ------ Huron Valley Radiology PC, located in the Reichert Building of St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, has merged with this company within the last couple of years. My mother and I have been using St Joes and IHA (now merged as Trinity Health), for about 15 years, and HVR has always been a separate bill. Because my mother is on a fixed income, she has always applied for financial assistance with St. Joes, every year, and now every six months since their merger. HVR usually sends one bill for services, and then we assumed all these years that financial aid picked up the balance, because we never heard from them again. All of a sudden, for the year 2024, she was sent to a collection agency for a small amount that did not add up with her claims on her insurance. I got no notice that this was going to happen, and had never received an accurate bill from these people. The bills also now say Advanced Imaging Alliance. The first on I ever got from them probably well over a year ago, was for about $130. One week after receiving it, my mother started getting phone calls, texts, and emails from their billing group in a foreign country, to the point where I had to tell them to stop harassing her, and that I would pay after talking to Huron Radiology and finding out what the accurate balance is. I also wanted to find out why she had to pay them all of a sudden when she never did before. I got no valid answer from Huron Valley Radiology either. Something about there being no financial assistance application on file when I know darn well there was. Always passing the buck. So now here I am with a collections bill for $37. No bill, no explanation, and it has taken me three solid days of my life only to have to finally call her insurance company to figure out why all the amount discrepancies. Both mergers and too many hands in the pot are the problem. Obviously, I never had a problem with HVR, but these ones are something else. My mother didn't have health services in India, and its amazing when you sound like you're getting frustrated how quickly they'll find you an American to speak to. We will no longer have a thing to do with Trinity as a result.

Here's what went down: I called BCBS the following business day after I got this bill. They told me they were billed for the x-rays and were billed an amount $1 LESS than I was billed for the 3 X-rays (hopefully you can understand what I'm trying to say). So they're double-billing, apparently. And on my bill, my primary's listed as 'self-pay' with no secondary. The BCBS representative assured me that my plan covers 100% of the type of x-rays I got. The rep said I should not have to pay anything. SO then I called BVR and they claimed they didn't have my health insurance info and they didn't bill BCBS. What a bunch of jerkaholics.

If you are unfamiliar with hospital food you may want to reconsider your preconceived notions. These whipped potatoes are very similar to mashed potatoes in that may have originated as a potato and serve delightfully as a no frills substitute, trust me you will wish you had more or something else. The Pot roast is very consistently cooked and brown and serves a a fat free protein that complements the whipped potatoes. With a bit a brown gravy you will have a beautiful rainbow of earth tones for your taste buds. To continue with our brown theme and also saving the best for last, I suggest dipping a chocolate chip cookie into the what has now become soft serve ice cream, it will soften up the cookie and create something like an MRE ice cream sandwich.
