Letter to the Facility
Hello -
I have two segments to this message.
First, I would like to commend the work ethic and commitment of Lisa at the Washington Twp, NJ Manor Care location Fries Mill Rd. NJ. She is the hardest working individual in that facility and has an insurmountable commitment to her patients as if they are her own grandparents. Lisa should be receiving the salary/hourly rate of numerous individuals who also work in that facility who are absolute wastes of space. Which brings me to my second segment.
I was visiting my grandmother for the first time on 9/24/17 and prior to my visit, I took the liberty to read reviews of the facility which were nothing less than disgusting and disturbing. Regardless, I walked in with an open mind. My first contact was was the woman at the front desk who was fairly friendly. She directed me to the nurses station to the right of the statue and indicated that they would be able to direct me to my grandmother. I proceeded to my grandmother's room (at which time she is normally at lunch), but she was still in her room. About five minutes after entering her room, an angel, Lisa, arrived to change her diaper, get her shoes on in order for her to proceed to the lunch room to eat. She was very, very delicate and very uplifting in her demeanor and discussion. She really put a lot of care and attention into her patient as if they were NOT just another number.
During lunch there was an incident where my grandmother spilled her apple juice. I ran out of napkins at the table so I asked the aid that was in the lunch room where I could find more. She responded with, "I don't know, check over there". Well, if you aren't sure where to find a simple napkin, then how are you employed? After lunch, Lisa then took over her duty in the lunch room and I informed her that my grandmother had wet her pants when she spilled the apple juice and needs to be changed. She directed me to the nurse's station and told me to inform one of them and they would have her pants changed. I followed the instructions. There were 4 "nurses" at the station. Two were on the computer working while the other two were gossiping and shooting the shit. When I conveyed the issue that my grandmother needed to be changed, they told me to just push her wheelchair against the wall and someone would get her. I replied with, "Don't all of you move at once". Why am I waiting for someone to change my grandmother's pants when 2 out of 4 nurses weren't working on anything work related other than gossiping? Lisa comes around the corner with two patients and the one white blonde nurse asks, "lisa, can you change her pants?" Mind you, Lisa is on lunch duty, but the lazy f**ks behind the nurses station that believe they have the audacity to call themselves nurses were to preoccupied with shooting the shit than taking care of the people they are responsible for.
Without hesitation, Lisa complied and addressed and resolved my grandmother's issue. Why the f**k do you employee such lazy @ss wastes of space whose daily activities and responsibilities could be replaced by a trained squirrel??? Is this what my family's money is going towards????? A bunch of lazy @ss entitled employees who have no care or consideration for the patients that they signed up to take care of?????
If your company was smart, you would send in under cover investigators posed as visiting family members to see what kind of lazy f**ks you have operating out of your facility. I completely and undoubtedly believe every single review I read now. It's an absolute disgrace. Lisa could run circles around 6 of your comatose employees that are more concerned about socializing than working.
And before you respond .... don't reply with the bulls**t "we cannot discuss personal matters blah blah blah" .... clearly discussing anything anywhere doesn't change a damn thing being that the reviews of this facility are consistent with the prior reviews I have read over periods of time. Issues that these individuals are having do not change. read more
