Well, Proof started out promising. For the $500 a year they want for pest control they will come out and reapply chemicals if problems persist. I guess that should be a red flag that they know they will need to come out multiple times. We've had them out for spiders more times than necessary and the problem is worse than ever. Update: Proof's very professional customer service personnel reached out and helped me understand why we are seeing spiders and have a well qualified technician coming out this week to address the problem. Fingers crossed that the spider issue is resolved. Appreciate their prompt response. read more

This is the most ineffectual pest control company I have ever seen. They sucker you in with an intro "deal" of $180 off your first inspection to lock you into a contract for $60 a month. The people are nice enough, but you might as well flush three $20s down the toilet every month with the amount of bugs that still entered the home after their "services." After repeated calls about the ants, the technicians started to get frustrated, saying it looked unprofessional that we kept calling. But the ants didn't seem to mind the bait or the poison. They kept coming. Try to cancel and Proof says that'll be $180 bucks. Don't trust them to do a good job. Get a local company who works a la carte instead of on contracts. You'll get more for your money. Anything is better than Proof. read more

BEWARE! Make absolutely sure you are square on what's happening and what it will cost! We called to have a problem looked at. The first representative scheduled a time window for the next day and said someone would call. He briefed us on their two pricing plans (annual or one time) but mentioned nothing about a deposit. Well, next day's window came and went. When I called the rep said there was nothing in their scheduling system. So she kindly rescheduled for another day. THEN she told me I needed to deposit the full price (more than $300) or else they wouldn't come out. I have never heard of such. What if I made the deposit and they again failed to show? Based on all this, I got bad vibes and told them we wouldn't be using them. read more

Jon has been servicing our home in Rochester Hills for over a year (maybe 2) and we have literally gone from a storm of ants (big surprise when we first moved in) to NONE! It's funny how something so little like an ant can ruin your comfort at home and I'm so thankful they're gone! Jon comes out every few months and sprays the house and whatever it is, it works! I contacted Proof Pest on July 31 for my large infestation of carpenter ants. (BTW, I also emailed Orkin the same day. I never heard back from them. So glad that happened because I feel that I truly found a much better company to do business with.) The ants were both inside and outside of my home. On August 1, Jason from Proof Pest arrived at my home! I couldn't believe how quickly this company understood my needs and concerns. Jason was very thorough in explaining the entire process and what he was going to do inside and outside of my house. (I absolutely loved the smell of the spray used inside of the house...essential oils are used.) All organic treatments are used and that made me very happy because I have a dog and visiting dogs, so I was worried about their health. Within a few days, the ants virtually disappeared. Almost that is! Upon cleaning my door wall windows, two weeks later, I found a small colony of the ants outside. Most of the ants were kind of loopy, but there were active ants too. A small pile of "sawdust" indicated as much. In my panicked and creeped out state of mind state, I contacted Proof Pest because they have a policy stating that they will retreat an area FOR FREE if activity exists after the initial treatment. This time, Jonathon arrived and listened to my concerns. He saw the activity, treated some areas and gave me so much knowledge about ants and other insects, I need to get his phone number so I can talk to him when I have other bug problems!! Just kidding! Jonathon does have a great sense of humor, is very knowledgeable, and has an ability to make the customer feel assured that your problems will cease. He also took care of a neighboring yellow jacket nest! Kudos to him and to this company! I'm so happy with their performance from beginning to end. I'd like to mention too that when I contacted them for retreat, I believe that it was a Patty that called me back and listened to my concerns. She was very, very understanding, and scheduled the re treatment. Great customer service is very hard to find these days. I Hope their success continues. read more
