    Cute seating area

Note: Everything is vegan/ gluten / and soy free Propaganda Coffee was a joy to find. It has a really cool aesthetic and is a great spot to hang out for a bit. There's a good amount of seating, plus a cozy little nook that feels perfect for reading or more relaxed conversation. The baristas were super nice and genuinely friendly. It might sound weird, but I always love when you can tell the staff actually enjoy working together and that was definitely the vibe here. I ordered a pistachio iced latte, which was a pleasant surprise since I'd never had one before, and an iced matcha latte. Both were really good and well made. I also loved the screen prints on the wall that looked like merch designs. Even though I didn't see the finished items, the prints themselves were really cool and added to the overall character of the space.

The latte I ordered was so good that I got another and was super caffeinated. Service was quick and friendly. It's always rad to see an establishment support the community (:

Really trendy coffee/matcha place with pastries. Music isn't too loud and seating is conducive to studying with plenty outlets available. Got a drink off their specialty menu - matcha spritz (super nice barista recommended it with blackberry fruit syrup). Bit more on the tart end, which drowns out the matcha a bit, but overall really yummy spritz! Side street metered parking available. Pretty easy to find on a Sunday afternoon.

Solid. I missed the treats - I was too late. It was noonish so that's fair. My latte was delicious. It was brown sugar cinnamon and espresso, I can't remember the cool name. The Fake News Bowl was good but it was actually fake news as it was supposed to have Just Egg and vegan sausage and there were very little there. (A bite or two.) It was mostly all potatoes, they were well seasoned but mostly undercooked, too. I would return for the nice vibe but I would get there earlier for sure.

Sometimes I visit a new place and have all the menu questions and this coffee spot got to be my recent victim. The barista was very friendly with me and my 10 minutes of 21 questions. I ended up with the monthly special, hot red bean oat milk latte. While the flavor was subtle I really enjoyed the uncommon coffee flavor. Thanks for putting up with inquiries and for the tasty drink.

Vietnamese style iced coffee with ube cold foam. Very fast service and ample seating with large windows at the front.

I am overjoyed to share that this place is all vegan and gluten free! As someone who tried out gluten free for a while (doctor's orders) - I was so glad I could enjoy a drink AND food from Propaganda Coffee. Though portion sizes were pretty small, the food was scrumptious. The overall ambiance was splendid, though seating was limited. The skeleton at the bar is an excellent touch! Staff were helpful and put up with all of my questions and requests (thank you).

Stopped by this place as I was walking through lakewood, it's an entirely vegan, gluten free, and dairy free place. There was a good amount of options of food to eat and nice if you are GF. Bonus points for the aluminum cups!! Kept the drink very very cold!! :) I don't love almond/oat milk so it was an adjustment for me but it was pretty good! I got the McKinley Place, with espresso and coconut water and almond milk. It was pretty good and you would love it if you like almond milk. I also tried the hot French raspberry, and it was super sweet and yummy. A fun place to try if you are in the area but keep in mind the milk options if you do not enjoy dairy free options :)

I love this place! Amazing coffee tea and food does it get better !? The service is exceptional and the ambiance is super chill. I really enjoy coming here and trying all the different pastries and drinks. Definitely recommend.

These guys are the sweetest! Exceptional service by the staff. When I ordered a gingerbread latte and didn't like it much, they gladly made a peppermint mocha latte for me! Love that the drinks come in an actual mug if you dine in and not paper cups. Everything here is vegan and delish! I tried the bagel & lox (smoked carrot) with capers. The bagel could have been toasted a bit more for my taste, but overall good vegan cream cheese and balance with capers. They offer oat or almond milk options for drinks. There are great pastry options like scones, brownies, donuts, and banana bread. All vegan everything. They also sell fresh packages coffee to brew at home. Get "Woke" with their coffee haha Cozy setting with a fireplace and options for tables/chairs or bar seating. Love everything about this local vibe. Go on a Sunday and you'll find free street parking. Free WiFi and restrooms are available. Chill spot you can actually get some reading done or work on your laptop. Music jamming in the background, but not loud enough to be annoying. I'll be back for more soon!

AMAZING COFFEE SHOP!! Truly can't say enough good things about Propaganda. As soon as you walk into the shop, you feel at home. The baristas are so nice and personable when ordering. I'm so glad I was able to experience this wonderful place before moving out of Lakewood. They have ample amount of seats & wifi so you can "WFH" or meet up with clients here. Their overnight oats had me visit propaganda 3 times in one week. I'm not sure what they do to them, but I couldn't get enough of them. Great addition to the Lakewood neighborhood. They have street parking along with a small parking lot next to the building.

The calamari with the Cajun remoulade was phenomenal, perfectly crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The crispy potatoes served with the chicken avocado sandwich were perfectly seasoned and simply outstanding. The burgers were cooked exactly as requested, juicy, flavorful, and paired with an unbelievably light bun that elevated every bite. The gnocchi literally melted in our mouths, delivering incredible texture and rich, comforting flavors. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its commitment to excellence beyond the plate. Fascinating space. I looked it up. It used to be retail when it was built in the 30s, and then it was renovated in the 60s and now it looks like they took all three storefronts for the restaurant. I was sitting there admiring the Cherrywood floor and thinking what used to be here. That display window I wonder if it was a little department store. They were very busy, the bartender was working it! Nice guy. Outside was packed. That's where I wanted to sit, but I sat in the dining room. The Lamb burger was excellent, handcrafted almost like a lamb meatloaf but very firm like a burger. It was great. My brother had the pasta and he loved it. I ordered my food over the phone before coming into the restaurant to pick it up. FOOD -- I ordered the Lamb Bolognese ($24). It tasted good especially the lamb but it was too creamy for me. They must have added cream, milk, or cheese to the tomato sauce because a few hours later, my stomach was hurting and the next day too, my stomach was also hurting again. I didn't eat the big lump of cheese that was added on top of the pasta (a bunch of white cheese) so the food item that hurt my stomach must have been in the sauce. I know, per the menu, the sauce is made with wine but normally a wine sauce doesn't hurt my stomach so it must be milk or cheese. The Lamb Bolognese came with a big quantity which was nice as I couldn't finish it all at once. The lamb was well cooked. While I was hoping to eat the leftovers the next day for lunch, I couldn't. Something in the food upset my stomach - it may have been the cheese or milk in the tomato sauce. SERVICE -- The lady who helped me at the counter was nice and I checked out easily. I hope to visit again for an in-person visit instead of a carry out order and to order something different because that their food is really good. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 25/250 total reviews in 2026 - 866 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 14 April 2026

The atmosphere felt much more like an Italian‑themed sports bar than a true Italian dining spot -- loud, chaotic, and not at all the warm, relaxed environment we hoped for. Despite requesting a quiet table a full day in advance, we were seated directly next to the entrance, which made the already high noise level even worse. The volume was so extreme that the four of us could barely hold a conversation. The à‑la‑carte menu structure means every component must be ordered separately, and the bill climbs quickly. Our entrée was good, but the pasta side arrived al dente whether you like it or not, and while the sauce didn't lack flavor, it simply wasn't that tasty. Overall, Bar Italia delivered a loud sports‑bar atmosphere serving Italian food -- not the comfortable neighborhood Italian restaurant we were expecting. Dined on a Saturday at 7pm, table of four.
