Had a friendly experience reading a book here for a few hours. There's free WiFi and outlets. I love that this place fits enough people comfortably to feel cozy but it's also not huge. They have very cool seasonal coffee and tea options which I love and can't wait to try some more next time. This may be my go to coffee shop soon if I need to get work done. I'm not vegan but the homemade biscuit sandwich was quite tasty and not oily and I felt full but still healthy eating it. read more

PHOTOS ATTACHED!! I visited Propaganda Coffee in June 2025 with a church friend, Lizzie. She mentioned that she loved their sandwiches so I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches. FOOD/DRINKS -- Limited food options but plenty of drink options. Typical pastries and breakfast sandwiches are available. During my June 2025 visit, I bought the Biscuit Sandwich ($10.50) that has Beyond sausage and vegan egg in it on a cheddar scallion biscuit, with hot sauce on the side. The biscuit sandwich was absolutely delicious. The uniqueness of the cheddar scallion biscuit matched perfectly with the vegan sausage and egg. I believe the biscuit is house-made. I'm not vegan but I loved this breakfast sandwich especially with add some hot sauce to bring out the flavour. Writing about this breakfast sandwich now is making my mouth water. I also got their banana bread that tasted good just as a typical banana bread would. The banana bread was soft and moist and they gave me two for the price of 1 perhaps because they wanted to get rid of them. Drink options are typical of most coffee shops serving both coffee and tea. During my June 2025 visit, I ordered a Matcha Spritz ($5.50) -- matcha, lemon juice, blueberry fruit syrup, sparkling water and ice. This was a very refreshing drink and not too sweet at all. I would definitely order their Matcha Spritz again. AMBIANCE -- Community focused as they have a bookshelf of free books to take (at least they did back in June 2025). As for lighting, the coffee shop isn't as bright inside as I prefer and the dark fixtures don't help. Free WiFi to use and a lot of people come here to work on their laptops. Note: Everything is vegan/ gluten / and soy free Propaganda Coffee was a joy to find. It has a really cool aesthetic and is a great spot to hang out for a bit. There's a good amount of seating, plus a cozy little nook that feels perfect for reading or more relaxed conversation. The baristas were super nice and genuinely friendly. It might sound weird, but I always love when you can tell the staff actually enjoy working together and that was definitely the vibe here. I ordered a pistachio iced latte, which was a pleasant surprise since I'd never had one before, and an iced matcha latte. Both were really good and well made. I also loved the screen prints on the wall that looked like merch designs. Stopped in here on a Saturday morning before meeting a friend. I found a meter spot right outside the door. They had their spring drink menu and all of the specialties sounded so good! I ended up going with the cherry blossom latte with oat milk (espresso with cherry and cardamom syrup, topped with cinnamon). It was pretty good but I think it would have been better if I'd gotten it hot. I mostly just tasted oat milk and cinnamon. Someone else ordered the iced toasted coconut ube latte when I was there and I wish I'd gotten that! Service was friendly though and the vibe inside is cool...I'd go back for sure and just try something different and maybe a pastry or breakfast too. Propaganda Coffee is a welcoming and inviting space for all. They even have a food pantry outside their coffee shop, for people who don't want to come in and are embarrassed, and they have one inside their coffee house as well. The vibes are wonderful. I loved the pig king picture. The place was packed on a Sunday at around 10am.  This place is a third space heaven for those seeking one. Got a drink off their specialty menu - matcha spritz (super nice barista recommended it with blackberry fruit syrup). the iced latte is okay, very average but definitively not bad! and 100% local, i think, which is great! however, the customer service is very....lacking to be completely honest! we had to wait FORTY (40) minutes for one dish, because they put it on the counter and didn't tell us, nor confirm we had gotten our food. To be clear, we were standing/sitting directly in front of the counter for the vast majority of the time, clearly waiting, so I'm not sure why no one nudged us or asked us if we needed anything, or realized the food was still sitting there in a box and unclaimed, or frankly anything! Many employees working also, and not busy. When we finally asked, one worker said they weren't even sure they rang us up for it (um) & then when they had to ask another, that worker said "oh i put it on the counter and yelled but no one came so it was just sitting here" - to be clear, we hadn't heard anything or seen him call it out when he put it down; he could have veryyy subtly done so, but we were waiting for a longggg time & did not even consider we were expected to just open up a random box sitting on a counter in front of other customers. Also, they did not really apologize at all or offer a refund for the egregious wait/lack of communication (which is like, their right! but weird). So TLDR the wait time was bad, and the service needs some more awareness & work. If you're just ordering a drink or pastry and coming for a study or work at a cafe vibe specifically, then it's probably perfect! read more

Solid. I missed the treats - I was too late. It was noonish so that's fair. My latte was delicious. It was brown sugar cinnamon and espresso, I can't remember the cool name. The Fake News Bowl was good but it was actually fake news as it was supposed to have Just Egg and vegan sausage and there were very little there. (A bite or two.) Sometimes I visit a new place and have all the menu questions and this coffee spot got to be my recent victim. The barista was very friendly with me and my 10 minutes of 21 questions. I ended up with the monthly special, hot red bean oat milk latte. While the flavor was subtle I really enjoyed the uncommon coffee flavor. Stopped by this place as I was walking through lakewood, it's an entirely vegan, gluten free, and dairy free place. There was a good amount of options of food to eat and nice if you are GF. Bonus points for the aluminum cups!! Kept the drink very very cold!! :) I don't love almond/oat milk so it was an adjustment for me but it was pretty good! I got the McKinley Place, with espresso and coconut water and almond milk. It was pretty good and you would love it if you like almond milk. I also tried the hot French raspberry, and it was super sweet and yummy. These guys are the sweetest! Exceptional service by the staff. When I ordered a gingerbread latte and didn't like it much, they gladly made a peppermint mocha latte for me! Love that the drinks come in an actual mug if you dine in and not paper cups. Everything here is vegan and delish! I tried the bagel & lox (smoked carrot) with capers. The bagel could have been toasted a bit more for my taste, but overall good vegan cream cheese and balance with capers. They offer oat or almond milk options for drinks. There are great pastry options like scones, brownies, donuts, and banana bread. All vegan everything. They also sell fresh packages coffee to brew at home. Get "Woke" with their coffee haha Cozy setting with a fireplace and options for tables/chairs or bar seating. Love everything about this local vibe. Go on a Sunday and you'll find free street parking. Free WiFi and restrooms are available. Chill spot you can actually get some reading done or work on your laptop. AMAZING COFFEE SHOP!! Truly can't say enough good things about Propaganda. As soon as you walk into the shop, you feel at home. The baristas are so nice and personable when ordering. I'm so glad I was able to experience this wonderful place before moving out of Lakewood. They have ample amount of seats & wifi so you can "WFH" or meet up with clients here. Their overnight oats had me visit propaganda 3 times in one week. I'm not sure what they do to them, but I couldn't get enough of them. Great addition to the Lakewood neighborhood. A great addition to Lakewood's coffee scene! The inside is very cozy with lots of tables and a bar to sit at. It's a good place to bring your computer and work. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was very good, not too overly sweet. I didn't get anything to eat but there were several baked goods/small plates to choose from. I like that they change their food menu seasonally too. Definitely worth trying out, even if you're not vegan! read more

Came here on a Friday afternoon and had a great walk! The baristas were informative and kind. Prices are what they are (lol) and there is a lot of different choices on the menu. My sister was happy because there were eggless pastries on the menu. The shop was very quiet, and there was plenty of room for seating. My only "issue" was my drink wasn't great, I feel like there was too much ice and the flavor wasn't very strong. It was okay, not bad, but okay!! read more

I made a New Year's resolution to try one new coffee shop a month and Propoganda was my June pick. I only recently saw this coffee shop pop up in my search for new coffee shops and I am happy that it's near where I live. One of my favorite things about this place is that it is GF, Soy Free and Vegan. They ask if you want oat milk or almond milk and don't charge you anything for these types of milks. Nothing annoys me more than places that charge $.70+ for alternative milks. I went with the Iced Mapleside Latte with almond milk, to go. My drink was given to me in a recyclable aluminum cup and paper straw. How smart! They offer food too but I had already eaten breakfast. The two people working were very friendly and talked about the business with me while I waited. It was a positive experience and I will be back. read more

This used to be hands-down my favorite coffee shop in the area. I'd been out of town since the end of last year, and one of the things I was genuinely looking forward to when I got back was stopping in again. I've always loved that they offered vegan and allergen-friendly options -- it felt like a place that really cared. But this visit was really rough. The whole vibe felt off. The staff seemed miserable, it was like no one was happy to be there. They weren't rude, but it was different from past visits. It didn't feel as welcoming. The coffee was okay. I got a muffin and immediately noticed something wasn't right. It tasted a little off, then I found a hair in it. A little bit after I left, I felt sick to my stomach, which lasted the rest of the day. I'm not sure if it was the muffin itself or just the gross-out factor from the hair. Unfortunately, after reading other reviews on Google, it seems like I'm not the only one who has had an issue with that. This place used to feel like a little haven for all of us with allergies. It was a place I could enjoy without having to worry. My last visit, in November, was great. Now it's far from that. I really hope they can turn things around and get back to what made it special in the first place. read more

An interesting new coffee shop in Lakewood. Located a few doors down from The Side Quest, Propaganda Coffee has metered street parking, so try to hit it during an off-time if you're driving over. Its a vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and more "free" things, but I can't remember what. Full disclosure, I drink dairy and am not a vegan, so I realize that I am not the target demographic. They serve basic coffee and tea drinks without dairy. They have a few breakfast sandwiches and other items, but I didn't order them (those artificial Beyond meats just do not sit well with me). I ordered a rooibos tea latte that comes served with oat milk. Totally fine but not sure if I would over again. I fully understand and appreciate what they are doing for those needing a vegan experience. The inside has plentiful seating and the baristas were friendly and genuinely interested in talking about their menu. The inside has a vintage vibe to it, with black and white checkered floors, bar stools and a muted color palette. This place is really cute truly a beautiful homage to the previous gelato place that was here before, unfortunately the small menu isn't as refined as it should be and a lot of the flavored drinks lack flavor if you're into sweeter drinks. One of my very favorite coffee shops in the area. Everything is both gluten free and vegan, making grabbing a delicious cup of coffee so easy for a vegan like me (and no extra $.50 business for oat/almond milk)! I love walking here with my dog! Right near two of my fave haunts- Rush Inn and sidequest lies this cute little gem of a place catering to us gluten free types! Holla!! The coffee was awesome, I chose to dine in and sat by the fireplace, I also ordered a gluten free biscuit. It arrived and was very tasty. My guy friend was less than thrilled with his meal- but he's not gluten free and I think he just wasn't used to it. I was happy dining amongst students on their laptops, great music and sweet employees who told me to order the biscuit. They are also dairy free, which on my rather restricted, savage diet- I'm starting to ease into. Oat milk's a tough one, but I do like coconut and almond milk.
