Made a quick stop in for a sandwich and coffee. My husband had the hammy sandwich and said it was very good. I had the Cuban, which I really liked. We both enjoyed our coffees. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was my sandwich was pretty salty and it was so warm sitting inside. We were near the thermostat and it was reading 80º. Great Elyria favorite! Nice spot to meet others, do business, do homework, read or just relax -the space is very versatile and comfortable. The parking is great too, since there are spots around the square and in the back. This aspect makes it a great take-out place too. In fact, they are starting to do an order ahead service, which would make ordering a drink or some food to-go even easier. Other than these aspects, I like this place because of how nice the staff is, and others seem to feel the same way. When I asked Janae, the barista when I went this morning, she said she likes working at Lake Erie Coffee in Elyria because the customers are friendly and have created a sort of community. Our first time here supporting local business. Their food is all company made or made in house. We ordered hot coffee and iced coffee. Delicious. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. Not as toasted as I like but very tasty. Hubby had the avocado toast which he loved. It was served on thick cut honey wheat toast with the perfect over easy egg with a light sprinkle of chili powder. Lots of foot traffic in and out. A number of people eating in. Definitely a must try! read more

I was in town for a trial, and stopped by a few times. Staff was quick and efficient, even while a single person was making drinks and taking orders. Coffee places can get really jammed up with fancy drinks at a place like this, but she never let the line get too long. Friendly and reasonable prices.
