I couldn't be happier with my experience. Jeffrey is amazing --knowledgeable, caring, patient, and just all around lovely and encouraging. my surgeon was super impressed with the progress i made due to my immediate and continued therapy. and a year on since the injury, i am able to use my hand nearly to full strength. so so glad i found him, and wellworks. i would be remiss if i also did not shout out marilyn (sp?) and the OT student (forget her name!) who also assisted me in my recovery. If you're looking for an OT who truly cares and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Jeffrey and the entire WellWorks team. Five stars well deserved!

We had a bad experience with this business in the past. It was only one PT there and a part-time…read moresupport stuff. PT was not knowlegeable and made my right knee pain worse. Her one exercise was especially harmfull - she put all my body weight on this knee with a knee angle less than 90 degrees and without any support. After a few sessions my knee pain level increased and I stopped going. PT told me that she could never ever feel her own glute muscles to contract (?!). I never met anyone who could not learned or feel their glutes to contract. It is a big limitation, especially for a PT. How do you train patients to contract it then? Glute muscles contraction is extremely important to prevent injuries and in rehab. I was surprised that she choose PT field. Do not recommend.

Prior to him attending Helping Hands, he was saying his ABCs and 123s but not correctly. He's been non verbal basically and still can't put a sentence together, but now he started saying mom and dad because of this program. They work with him and use different methods and tactics, and also positive reinforcements, that I honestly need to work on. They communicate with me daily to let me know his progress and how I can also help him at home. I'm very happy with this program and the amazing people who put in the time to help these kids thrive and I'm so glad I found them.

My daughter worked with two OT therapists before meeting Kiana, but neither were as thorough or as helpful as her. I cannot thank Kiana enough for her incredible patience and for taking the time to explain almost everything she works on with my daughter. A big thank you also goes to Hannah for being just as amazing when she stepped in to cover. My daughter also worked with another covering therapist Carrie, and she was just as helpful and kind. Overall, every therapist we've encountered here seems to give 100% to each child. I fully trust that my daughter will always have a positive and productive experience every time she comes.

It took an unreasonable amount of time to get an appointment, and our stated availability was repeatedly disregarded. When we finally secured a session, we were told the assigned therapist would be out for a week. Shortly after, we learned she had actually left the company entirely. We were then scheduled with Melissa the clinical manager. During that conversation, the provider recommended that the sessions take place at their facility. We clearly declined and explained that we wanted the initial session to occur in our home. After communicating that preference, the appointment was rescheduled. As parents, coordinating therapy appointments requires planning, adjusting work schedules, and arranging childcare. The repeated delays, staff turnover, poor communication, and last-minute scheduling changes showed a complete lack of respect for our time. What should have been a straightforward onboarding process turned into weeks of frustration. If reliability, organization, and communication are important to you, this was not our experience with this provider.

From the first time (evaluation) they were just so easy to work with, they were very clear about how long it would take for the referral process, to starting sessions. i have seen such a great improvement in my sons speech. I go to this provider for occupational therapy for my hand. I have arthropathy and degenerative…read morejoint disease in my hands, especially my CMC joint and thumb, which cause me a lot of pain, limited mobility, and weakness. This provider specializes in physical and occupational therapy for the hands. I've also had physical therapy through UCLA for my hands, but they really didn't do much of anything other than massage my hand. In contrast, Thera-ex staff made a detailed assessment of my hand and gave me specific exercises for my hand, wrist, and finger joints, including my thumb. I go twice a week and they apply a warm compress, have me do the exercises, apply ultrasound therapy, and give me a massage. These treatments do a lot to relieve my pain, which usually is much diminished for the rest of the day after my appointment. Additionally, all of the assistants, technicians, and providers are extremely professional, warm, communicative, and courteous. In fact, I think this may be the most courteous medical facility of any kind that I have ever frequented, and I have been to A LOT. I have a very complicated medical history and sometimes have up to 10 medical appointments a month. I have 10 different specialists handling my care and frequently since receive referrals to others. I have run into my fair share of hostile, discourteous, and disorganized medical offices. I am happy to say that it is always a pleasure to visit Thera-Ex. I have been there about eight times and have a lot more visits to complete. If you need occupational therapy for your hand, I highly recommend this place.

They sent a very nice PT who helped me for three visits, and said at the end of the last visit that the head guy would contact me about additional visits. That's the last I ever heard from anyone. I honestly don't care, I'll go to another more helpful PT service.

AISHA has been wonderful, helping him develop his fine and gross motor skills, and LILA, our speech therapist, has been a true gem. She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and has made such a meaningful impact on his speech development. We're so grateful for the care and dedication they both provide. My only feedback would be regarding the administrative side, as communication and scheduling from the main office can sometimes be inconsistent. Once you have a dedicated therapist, I recommend working directly with them whenever possible. Despite the administrative hiccups, my son has had such a positive experience and his therapists truly care about him and his progress. We wish they accepted more insurances to continue on, but still very grateful for the time we've been with them. For that reason, I'm still very happy to give OT Studios 5 stars.
