I have pictures of me before I moved in here and after with all the bites to prove I did not have them because once you have bedbugs and they bite you, they don't stop. They don't wait for you to move in somewhere and say oh let's start biting that's not how bedbugs work. You can have bedbugs and never even know it only certain people react to their bites. My husband and I sleep in the same bed. He does not have one bite mark on him and it's not because he's not getting bit. It's because his body doesn't react to the bites. Angel did call me four days later and apologize for how she approached the situation. and the community manager Amanda has sent me two emails asking me to delete my reviews which makes me wonder how many has she sent before me asking for you to delete your review. I lived here for one year while completing my physician residency at Lakeland Regional Health. After I moved out, I received an email stating that I would be charged $800 for a window replacement. I was shocked. When I moved in, I completed an inspection of the apartment and did not notice any cracks in the windows. When I questioned the charge, management sent me a photo showing a crack at the top edge of one of the approximately 10-foot-tall windows. I do not believe I could have caused this damage. I researched edge cracks in impact-resistant windows and even contacted the company that replaces windows for this property. They explained that if there is no point of impact on this type of high-impact window, an edge crack is typically the result of thermal stress or improper installation during construction. In either case, the crack may not become visible until much later. That explanation is consistent with why I did not observe any damage when I moved in. I tried working with both Mirrorton and its management company to resolve the issue. I shared the information I had gathered, but they would not consider the evidence and ultimately withheld $800 from my security deposit. Because I have been unable to resolve this matter directly, I feel my only remaining options are to file a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and consult with an attorney. I also want to make other prospective tenants aware of my experience so they can make an informed decision before renting here. It is disappointing to have to spend valuable time away from caring for patients at the hospital, to dealing with what I believe is an unfair situation.

I called again today to speak to a manager, and Corey answered the phone said he would give him another message. Paying $100 all over to reapply to be told we are denied is very frustrating and unfair. Nothing has changed on either background in one week. I was referred by a resident and at this point I would not do business with them ever again. They are covering up for someone who did not do their job correctly. They did bring out two pieces of portable equipment that were supposed to be A/C units, but they just blew the hot air around. Outside was literally cooler than the lobby. Our $220 cake was dropping flowers before we ever cut into it. This was a once-in-a-lifetime event - shower for my daughter's first baby. We couldn't reschedule since a number of the guests were traveling by car for several hours or even by plane from a few states away many of whom had already arrived in town Insult to injury- they still charged us $250 that they refused to return after multiple requests from us. They said that when they called my daughter to inform her of the snafu, they made the $250 offer, and she agreed to it over the phone. They kept telling us she had a "choice," but really it wasn't a choice. They had her over a barrel. She explained to me that she said "I guess so, but I need to think about it." They also cited that we used their resources - facility, chairs, tables, labor. The labor also wasn't a choice as they were already moving what we needed into place before we arrived for setup. The property manager told me that $250 was completely random. Be careful!

They replaced the roof and painted all the buildings, replaced the pipes in all the units to a modern pvc system, cleaned out dryer vents... The list goes on and on. They keep on top of everything possible, it seems. I've lived in 6 different apartments over the past 10 years and without any doubt, Willowbrook has been the best one by far. I have a few coworkers who are living in other complexes in the Lakeland area and they all regret not moving in here.
