I honestly expected to be working my butt off last Friday night (May 29, 2015), but I didn't have to lift a finger! She let me do a bit a decorating, but only because I begged! When my daughter said she was hiring Meredith, I was concerned that it was an unnecessary expense, however it was the best money spent on the wedding!!! The best part was the final hour of the reception when I just got to sit and watch Meredith load the van! Jessica was also wonderful and helped us so much. We hardly had two weeks for the event day and Johnell worked day and night to get everything planned and coordinated according to the theme of the party. She provided great suggestions like the claw machine, face painting and a magician. It was tough to get a magician in that short time period but she did her magic to find the best one for the event and it was great! All our 50+ guests who attended the party raved about how well the planning and coordination was done for a 3 year old's birthday. It wouldn't have happened without her! She also helped with my baby shower back in early 2020 when Covid didn't hit us yet. My husband worked with her to throw me a baby shower and it was amazingly done. That baby shower event has made us reach out to her again because we knew she will do an excellent job and can trust her because she puts her heart in every event that she takes up. Thank you so much Johnell for all the efforts and an outstanding work even with such short time that you had.

Right from the start, Mel very clearly grasped our daughter's theme and "vision," and she was also extremely mindful of the budget as she helped us navigate all the details. Her shared spreadsheets tracked every detail and she provided so many helpful recommendations and services that we would have never known about or thought of. We were very confident going into the wedding day, knowing Mel had coordinated final contracts and deliverables, arrival and departure times, and any special needs on the day of with all of our vendors. On the day of, Mel and Emily worked their tails off to make everything gorgeous and seamless so that we could focus on enjoying the day and the guests. Every time a vendor arrived, we simply pointed them to Mel, and that was that. Our bar staff stiffed us at the end of the night, disappearing during the send-off without cleaning glasses off tables. We were already leaning toward hiring a coordinator but then our venue (Ma Maison) required us to have one so we contacted their entire list of preferred vendors for coordinators and we are so glad we did because that's how we found Heather from Vintage & Lace!! Of all of the planners and coordinators we talked to, I was just immediately drawn to how warm, friendly, AND organized she is. Heather is an absolute pro with countless weddings under her belt, but still so kind and easy to talk to. Then, despite planning our wedding from another city, Heather made it SO easy and smooth. We technically only booked her for day-of coordination (with full communication/access the month prior) but from day one, she was still always available via call, email, text, whathaveyou, no matter when or what kind of (ridiculous, I'm sure) questions I had. We didn't actually meet Heather in person until our rehearsal the day before our wedding, and she was an absolute ROCK STAR the entire weekend. She managed to wrangle our large wedding party (14 bridesmaids and groomsmen) and all of our family (including bilingual and non-native English speakers, as well as divorced family) with both grace and authority. It's also worth noting we had several extras (a Chinese tea ceremony before our wedding ceremony, two large shuttles to transport our guests to and from Dripping Springs, getting Whataburger delivered to our venue for a late night snack) and Heather handled EVERYTHING seamlessly. Anything I thought of or had concerns about, she handled before I even voiced them to her! If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I have no idea what it was, because Heather was ON it. She was also incredibly thoughtful and adaptable, from my mom wanting to move the cake-cutting earlier, to making sure all of our belongings were packed away and that we had plenty of snacks and drinks in our getaway car. Her day-of assistant, Jasmine, was also so helpful and sweet. They both made the entire weekend just a wonderful, fun, amazing experience where we got to fully enjoy getting married and celebrating with family and friends. I can't recommend Heather and Vintage & Lace more highly -- BOOK HER NOW! I won't say "you won't regret it," but rather, you'll regret it if you don't! Heather, thank you thank you thank you SO much for all your hard work and support in making sure our wedding was an amazing, dreamy, unforgettable experience!

Due to COVID, I was exhausted from cancelling an overseas wedding and dealing with two reschedules; I could no longer handle all of the logistics. Enter Heather. She was quick to respond and schedule a meeting with me and my then fiancee to discuss details. She was calm, interested, and prepared. She assuaged my panic and let me know that 6 weeks for a 30 person wedding was easy peasy. I cannot recommend Heather enough! With my hectic work schedule, she contacted me via email as my preference. We are based in Philadelphia, and while we didn't meet until the day before the wedding, you definitely couldn't tell as everything went off without a hitch. Well if there was anything wrong during the ceremony and reception, we had no idea. She handled all of our vendors seamlessly and made everyone feel safe during the pandemic. I definitely know now that we couldn't have pulled it off without her!

On the wedding day itself, Casey was so collected and completely in control. Because of her, I truly did not worry about a single thing. Even when it started to rain before the ceremony, she made sure the rain plan was executed perfectly. She handled everything seamlessly from start to finish, including setup, coordinating vendors, keeping the timeline on track, teardown, and packing everything up at the end of the night. I was able to be fully present and enjoy every moment knowing that everything was taken care of. I really felt like I just showed up that morning and left that night without fully knowing everything that went into making our day so beautiful and that's a testament to how incredible Casey is.     Overall, I wouldn't recommend Austin Wedding Planners. We went with the wedding advisor package. We…read morefound them generally unwilling to provide opinions (I would ask questions about something and all I'd get back is "well every vendor does things differently"). They were overly pushy about preferred vendors (for instance, I heard from our venue who were contracted to provide our table settings that Austin Wedding Planners tried to get them to use one of Austin Wedding Planner's preferred vendors without talking to me about it) and they made some expensive oversights with the vendors that they'd recommended. For instance: They insisted a florist they suggested would not give us an a la carte (vs. full design) package. They did. We reached out to a florist AWP recommended with a minimum for full design. When we got that quote back it was clear they were struggling to get to that number and were suggesting more florals than we actually wanted. I saw they also offer a la carte options. I asked Rosa to ask about it. She said no, that that was only for elopements. I was really excited about them so I emailed them directly to ask if it would be an option. They immediately agreed. After I told Austin Wedding Planners the florist would do a la carte for us Rosa called me stressing out. Who would set up and break down the flowers? I said we would figure it out after our call with them. It turns out they were able to do both for a modest fee. Another instance, Austin Wedding Planners said our tenting company would not allow our venue to set up lighting in the tent. They did. I asked our venue which had string lights if they'd be able to set up lighting in our tent (our rain back up plan). The venue said yes. Rosa said no--that the tenting company wouldn't allow it. I followed up with the tenting company (who were not on the call). They said our venue could set up the lights. These two things would have cost us over $4000 if we hadn't followed up. Is it possible these vendors gave me different answers than they gave Austin Wedding Planners or they changed their policies recently? Sure. But given the premise of the advisor package is that you have a relationship with these vendors you should be getting me better deals not worse ones than if I negotiated on my own. Austin Wedding Planners have clearly been doing this for a long time and I think if you needed a day of planner this could still be a good pick for you.

    I knew planning a destination wedding in Cancun would be an undertaking, but I had no idea how…read moredifficult and time consuming it would be just getting information from and negotiating with the resorts directly. When I was introduced to Lauré I was frustrated and overwhelmed. I had already decided on a resort I loved and signed a contract, but room block negotiations were making my head spin. Lauré quickly put my mind at ease - she knew exactly what she was doing. She took over the communications with the resort, helped us determine the appropriate size room block, and managed the room block throughout the process. Her insight was invaluable. I would have made so many missteps had it not been for her guidance - all the way down to how to word my invitations and website to get the best response from guests. Speaking of which, we were optimistically ball-parking around 80-90 guests and ended up with over 100, which I truly believe is a testament to how effectively Lauré communicated with everyone. Once guests sent an initial inquiry to Lauré, she followed up with them like clockwork and I heard from multiple friends how responsive she was and how straightforward and easy she made the booking process. Without a doubt, we would not have had anywhere near that headcount had we left it up to guests to book directly through the resort. I cannot emphasize enough how necessary Lauré's services are if you're planning a trip with a large group and would also like to maintain your sanity. Future brides especially, you will have plenty of things to worry about while planning your wedding, do not let this be one of them. We are so grateful to Lauré for all her hard work, diligence, and support. She was an absolute lifesaver!

In November 2013 I contacted Liv via email as I was planning to celebrate my kiddos' birthday slash housewarming in February 2014. I gave her my phone number in the email just in case she want to call me back instead of replying to an email. I was pleasantly surprised (and impressed) that she replied me practically 10 minutes later. Finally I thought I found someone who didn't take days or weeks to reply. In her reply she said she can work with me on pricing and she would provide a custom proposal. She asked what would be the best time to talk to me over the phone. We decided that she will call later that very same day. In this email she cc her co-worker Katie Krause. The next morning I realized that I never received that phone call. I'm not a selfish person, things happened especially in the event planning business. I emailed one more time, to her and Katie and told her that I can contact her instead and she could let me know the best time to do so as I'm pretty flexible. But I guess that was the end of it. I never heard back from her or this Katie that always being cc-ed on. I'm not a difficult person and I'm the kind of person who is willing to splurge especially for my kids. But to disappeared on me, is simply disrespectful and lack of people skill. If you think my 'party' was not worth your time or too cheap for you in comparison to what you could have earned if it was a wedding, you could have said so from the beginning instead of being a flake. By the way my kids ended up having the best full service party with a different event planner while me and the other grown up guests enjoy the housewarming party in the other side of the house. In all, I wouldn't recommend her service especially for something as big as a wedding. It will add unnecessary stress that you don't need. My party was small-ish (we ended up having 60 ppl in my house as opposed to 20-25 that I told her), could be the reason why she couldn't care less. Do your research. There are many event planners that will gladly take your money and give a great customer service at the same time. Good luck.

Every time I had a new idea or crazy suggestion she made it happen bigger and better than I anticipated and somehow stayed within my price point. She creates fairytales. Liv By Design just designed my dream wedding and combined all of our random ideas into one amazingly cohesive cool party. Liv is constantly looking for ways to make the event incredible; it is just her nature. The team was continually looking for new ideas for our specific black and white theme everywhere they went. I would get picture texts of new ideas from restaurants and fashion shows that we could adapt to our coming wedding. That is what makes her exceptional. She doesn't just answer your questions and give you a price. She ceaselessly searches for ways to go above and beyond the original suggestions. Her team's execution of our wedding was completely flawless. You will not be disappointed with this group. Not to mention, it's really fun to work with them. They are great company to keep. They are all easygoing and understanding individuals who are all very enthusiastic about making their events the best in the business while keeping everything exclusively tailored to your ideas and desires.
