Made an appointment a week in advance for today, March 4. Was told by Alba Cardinali, who took my call, that I would be contacted with a time frame the night before. I was not contacted. I started calling the number on my confirmation this morning and the calls kept getting routed to the New Jersey location. They couldn't tell me anything and said the people in the Elmsford office probably weren't in yet and the calls were defaulted to them. Got someone to give me a direct number to Elmsford and it still was picked up from someone in New Jersey. Finally talked to Michaela in Elmsford who said I was on the schedule and they would be there between 12 and 3. Took me an hour to find that out. Of course no one showed up or called. I called at 4:15 (of course someone in New Jersey answered again) but finally after about 5 separate calls and attempts to transfer me where I was hung up on, someone was nice enough to stay on the phone until he could track down and transfer me the Michaela. She said they were running late but not to worry, they would still be there. Of course no one showed up. Seriously doubt they will even call to reschedule. These people have no qualms wasting your time, so don't waste yours with them. read more

I made an appointment for Pro Shred to come to my home on a Thursday. They couldn't pin down a time that the truck would arrive until Thursday morning, so I blocked off the whole day. I received an email confirmation and spoke to a gentleman Thursday morning who said the truck would arrive between 3 and 5 PM and that they would call an hour prior to arrival. Nobody called, nobody came. I called them. The gentleman said the truck broke down. They couldn't even give me an alternate date until the following Monday. On Monday morning, the gentleman gave me a choice of Wednesday or Thursday. I opted for Wednesday. I received an email confirmation. The gentleman couldn't pin down a time until Wednesday morning, so, I had to block out the whole day. Again. On Wednesday morning, the gentleman sent me an email asking if I could do it on Thursday. I called him and told him the answer was no and he said someone would be coming that day, Wednesday, between 2:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon and that someone would call an hour in advance. No one came, no one called. At minutes after 4 o'clock, I called and got no explanation, but, I told them I was going to find another company, and that I was finished with them. Wouldn't you know it, the next day, after I made other arrangements, I received a call from their truck driver telling me they were at my home. Well, I wasn't around, and I'd made other arrangements. I can't make this stuff up. This company is irresponsible, lies and waste your time. If I could give them a negative number of stars, I would. I would never do business with them again. read more

I had three 30 gallon plastic garbage cans filled with old records. They perfectly filled one of their 93 gallon containers. They said that they'd be at my place between 3 and 5, and they showed up right at 3. All in all a seamless experience. read more

Our management office has found Proshred to be an excellent service. We requested an appointment as quickly as possible and they arrived the next day to shred an enormous amount of sensitive office documents. THESE GUYS ARE SCARY! I used ProShred to shred boxes of my old financial documents recently and the guys that showed up to do the shredding appeared to be a pair of crooks. I did not want to leave my documents unattended, but these guys worked me endlessly to try to get me away from the boxes during the shredding process. During the shredding they each asked separately to enter the house to use the bathroom, and then later for a glass of water. Before driving away I found one of the guys walking around my back yard. FInally at 5 I called again and they said they would not be coming. They want to reschedule! Can't waste another day. Will look for another company. read more
