At roughly $300 per dinner, that's a hard miss.
Housekeeping was never offered proactively during our stay -- you'd need to request it yourself, which wasn't made clear at check-in. When we did flag a broken lantern, we were told it would be replaced in the morning; it never was. What made this more puzzling was finding a cash tip envelope left out for housekeeping staff -- a gesture that felt a bit tone-deaf when no service had been offered or rendered.
The general store has no visible pricing, so spending felt like a guessing game rather than a clear transaction, and an itemized checkout receipt would go a long way toward transparency at this price point.
The grounds are genuinely lovely, and these feel like fixable operational gaps -- but at this price, the follow-through should match the setting. read more
