I started coming to F45 Deerwood this year after having been to a few different locations…read more(Jacksonville, Nashville, Orlando) and it's pretty solid. It's not been my favorite studio overall, but they offer convenient times for classes and the workouts are always great, even if the classes aren't full or super high energy. The two coaches I've had have been friendly and do a great job during classes to help correct your form or keep you on track. The space is plenty large and I've never felt overwhelmed with trying to fit in with the other members or all of the equipment, Overall, I'd stick with a 4/5.

I just finished up a free week trial at F45 Training Deerwood and I am super happy that I decided…read moreto check it out. There are so many positives so let me start with the fact that you can sign up for a free, no strings attached trial. I downloaded an app, logged in, and whenever I wanted to attend a class I checked the days schedule and booked it. The app doesn't tell you how full a class is, but the website does. I did five classes all week and I think the hardest class was Wednesdays Docklands. I was sore all over and drenched. The classes switch focus from day to day. Some days you are working on more strength based exercises, some days you are shooting for a high heart rate, and some days they mix the two. All the classes in every F45 worldwide is the same on any given day and they change the classes every 10 weeks. You won't be stuck or bored doing the same thing week to week. The owner Chris is very nice and personable. The coaches are fit and illustrate good form when they run through their exercises at the beginning of each class. They encourage you when you are huffing and puffing. They will correct you when you are doing something wrong so you don't hurt yourself, which is super important. They are also just nice and positive. They motivate each person in class to strive for their best. That may be the number one best thing I can say about F45. If you are shooting to shred some fat and gain some muscle F45 is a place where you can make that happen. If you can eat healthy to go along with consistent visits you will be looking different in a few months. I purposefully went the whole week before I asked about membership. I really wanted to get a feel for the gym without thinking is this expensive or worth it. Prices vary based on how much you visit, which is to be expected. It is about eight times more expensive than my current gym, but twenty times better. If you can afford it and take advantage of what you pay for then you won't regret it. I can totally see the coaches encouraging you to come in or not miss a day, so you hit your goals. F45 is new so everything inside still has a nice new look and feel. If you are used to doing your own thing at a box gym, this experience is different, but not bad. Classes last about 45 min with one class a week going a full 60 minutes. No more wasting two hours at a gym slowly going between exercises and hearing bro's grunt as they try and out peacock each other. In all honesty you will mostly zone everyone out during your workouts here as you will be working too hard. I am not sure yet if I will join, although I loved my experience, but you should definitely take a look for yourself. I had a great week and you will too.

If your looking for a trainer who will help you reach your goal, give you the time and attention…read moreyou need then search elsewhere cuz THIS PLACE IS NOT IT . After searching the Web I finally decided to give this place a try and I called to make an appointment. I was told that a certain trainer (female, cant remember her name) would call me back to make an appointment but she never did. When I finally did get a hold of some one I went in and got a diet plan, my weight and body fat measured. I was told to call back and make an appointment for my first session. It took 2 days of me calling the gym and trainer and leaving messages for some one to finally get back to me. Once again I was told that I would get a call back to give me the their available days and once again no one called back. I gave it one last try and called them back and there was no answer. These people practically made me chase them down and are clearly not very interested in or care about customer service. If you want some one who puts the time in to help you I suggest you go anywhere else!

If you are more than 5 minutes late, you cannot take the class. They also demand you follow the workout template EXACTLY even though different customers have different fitness levels, especially considering the weight floor. No grey areas or flexibility. Again, I've been to at least 50-100 studios, I've seen MUCH beter. This is definitely a management issue, after visiting so many great studios this one stinks. Finally, they hired an absolutely insufferable instructor "Alyx". "Alyx" was obnoxious to deal with and quite unlikable compared to other OTF instructors (almost all of them are great). She was also overweight and out of shape, which is odd. Why would a fitness studio hire a coach who's out of shape? Kind of like relying on financial advisor who's about to declare personal bankruptcy. A head scratcher there..

I've been trying to cancel for the past 3 months and someone just got back to me last week.... Apparently my cancelation form from last week was mishandled because I now have to submit yet another one after I got verbal confirmation that it was received the first time. Complete bullshit. The excuse was that the manager is overseeing 3 studios? Tacky Leadership.

Pricing is transparent, and the ability to book courses through the app is simple and straightforward. I'm glad I found this studio and am excited to keep going back.

So far. I'm loving Steel Mill! Honestly, I never had the desire to do CrossFit. I did an On-Ramp…read moreonce when I was living in LA, but really thought it wasn't for me. Eight years later... It just happens that this gym is walking distance from my house because any further and I know that I just wouldn't go. So... CrossFit it is! :) I still drive there... I decided to join the 6-week challenge and (as I write this review), I think it was the best decision I have made for myself in a long, long time. It's not so scary. The program is fantastic as long as you don't fight the Universe and follow your nutrition plan AND do the workouts. It's pretty darn simple: Do what you're supposed to do and have a good attitude. Trust the process... The best things about this gym are the members, coaches and classes. I can definitely say that this has been the most supportive environment I have ever experienced when it comes to going to the gym. Everyone is genuinely supportive and welcoming from day one. Of course it's because they know the hell you're going through while doing the WODs [Workout Of The Day] and struggling through the skills they teach here as a newbie or someone who hasn't worked out consistently (like me) in a good damn while. Perhaps misery loves company? Perhaps, but I think we all enjoy the endorphins...afterwards. I have never seen any judgement here and there are all kinds of people with many shapes, sizes and physical backgrounds that come to this box that will cheer you on to finish that last rep. Really pretty cool and motivating. In addition, they offer plenty of class times and a full gym area complete with machines, weights and all sorts of fun toys to get your butt back into shape. It does get better... Overall, if you're on the fence about joining this CrossFit gym - I would recommend trying the 6-Week Challenge whenever they offer it to see what it's all about and commit to that. I know I had to read reviews on Yelp for over a year to finally decide on coming to this location. Hey. That might be you. Who knows? But I can tell you that I love the coaches who teach at this location and that can make all of the difference in the world. Good humans. Check 'em out!
