My experience at the Prospyr Delray Beach location was Absolutely 5 Star. My salespersons name was Wensky, and he was so professional, detailed and courteous. Selling some of my jewelry was not an easy choice. Although, he Explained everything down to the weights and value. I trusted his professionalism, explaining to me each test he was doing on my jewelry. I never doubted anything that he said or was doing. he documented each piece individually. The good: nice clean store, very close to me. The bad: I wanted to dispose of a small amount of extra silver coins I had. I asked for the ratio they used ( the percentage of current spot price per $1 face value). The gentleman looked puzzled, asked me to repeat it and said they couldn't do that, but they could just quote what they were currently paying. Not an acceptable answer as it is an easy formula, I left, & figured it myself . It was low. I then went to another local place and got more. And they had the ratio. read more

1-13-24 11 AM Saturday First review of 2024 is dedicated to what I am doing this year, decluttering. This includes jewelry I will never ever wear again. Can we say wedding band, engagement rings and other jewelry that an ex had given you. I found out about this place from Laurie Jennings on tv. Seemed reputable and close to home in the shopping plaza just west of TY Park. They are right behind the AT&T store. Once you get to the door they buzz you in. With Gold being high right now this place was hopping. Bumped into a couple that live in the same neighborhood. They were selling jewelry from a deceased relative. All the stones and gold is tested. Mine was predominantly 18karat gold. Once everything is tested and written up they tell you the amount it is worth. Once you agree you hand over your drivers license and they take your fingerprint as well. After they write you a check. Was very happy with the dollar amount for jewelry that has not been worn in 24 years. Very pleasant experience, will be back soon as they also do repairs. read more

Very sketchy business and dishonest business . Sketchy owner Seaton Greene. My abusive ex who ripped my 18k gold chain brought it to this jeweler to get it repaired. Long story short that relationship ended badly / there was no communication . I found out this was the jewelry he brought it to. I called Mr Seaton Asking about any information, can I pick this piece of jewelry up. It has been several months, but this is the Last thing that I have from my grandmother in Ukraine, that just passed. It was super sentimental. He said by now it's been melted because it wasn't picked up. And they used the gold that they melted down to cover the repair costs. Mind you the repair would not have been more than $50, the chain is worth at least $800. The owner Unapologeticallyessentially said your shit out of luck can't do anything. I went to the Delray Beach Location and worked with a very nice gentleman named Seaton. He was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable. While he was checking on an item for me a fellow worker in the store named Raj finished up with his customer and spoke to me as well, joking and just being very nice. Finally a third employee came back from lunch, a sweet young lady who was also friendly. The three of them made my visit extremely pleasant. Seaton was very professional and even went out of his way to look up the value of an item that Prospyr does not work with at this time. My overall experience was extremely positive and I would recommend their services to anyone. read more

After a haircut next door I peeked in the window here and saw they bought gold and coins. Returned the next day with broken earrings etc and some coins. Very knowledgeable gentleman there and I feel I was paid well not cheated like a pawn shop does. Highly recommend this shop you will be treated well. I went to "Prospyr Jewelers"to have a silver wrist "paratrooper" bracelet repaired in Pembroke Pines, on their busiest days twice; once on Friday and on Saturday. Both times the place was almost empty. I wanted to have a silver bracelet clasp repaired or extended. They told me to leave it there. I did. When I returned on Saturday, the shylocks told me it would be about $250.00 to have the clasp replaced-not even with pure silver! What a change from the old owner, a kind elderly Jewish gentleman. They were incensed when I questioned why it was so much money. They gave me attitude and tried to say no one but them could fix my silver wrist paratrooper bracelet. I went to "Paradise Jewlers" at 11401 Pines Blvd., Pem. Pines, and I spent $50.00 dollars. They took one day to fix it. It is a family owned business and provides quick honest service. Not pushy and no hungry greed attitude. Never go to the "third world" business, called "Prospyr", a dump run by covetous SHARKS! Ever! read more

The girls, both Myriam and Karina were so helpful and patient! They took their time, to make sure that they were giving me the best advice, and monies that they could. I am a minority and went into the Hollywood store to sell a piece of jewelry and to have a watch repaired . The young lady assistant seemed like she was new or uninformed as to how to appraise my jewelry. She weighed my jewelry three times, then asked to scrape it to see if it was real. I had no issue with her verifying but her mannerisms and body language truly displayed that she didn't want my business. I spoke about my watch and it seemed that was an issue. I sat in there for a few more minutes hoping it would get better . It didn't . I decided to respond to these cues. I politely asked for my belongings and left the establishment. I had a wonderful time as I asked Myriam to see all my gifts through out my life. Wedding ring, 20 year Anniversary ring, and other jewelry I inherited or bought for myself. She was so thoughtful and had a easy way about her. She also works very hard estimating, examing and scrating away at the silver and gold to be certain. I received an excellant amount of money for the small treasures I had once loved. I also want to thank Jim, who throughout the time I spent, about an hour, was very helpful in the process.
