Talented, friendly, and fairly priced jeweler. DSH stands for Daniel and Helaine Sutton, who have been in the jewelry business forever! The store on Sterling Road in Hollywood is large, with an abundance of merchandise. I found DSH after looking at many jewelry stores. First I was looking to repair my engagement ring, then I decided to reset it. I then changed my mind again and decided to make an entirely new ring out of diamond studs I was given (since I do not wear earrings). Believe it or not, it is not easy to find nice settings for two diamonds. I soon realized the setting would have to be custom made. So I first looked at my neighborhood jewelers. One of them in Davie, Maurice at Maurice's Jewelry Box said that I should really go to his parent's store as they had a bigger selection. So that's how I ended up at DSH. I found a picture online had it copied. It was a beautiful vintage setting. The first wax model did not turn out quite as I wanted it the first time so Helaine and Daniel sent it to someone else to be redone at their expense. When it was finally complete, I loved the finished product! I then had DSH take my original engagement diamond to make a beautiful halo pendant. Another job I was very happy with! Since then, I have gone to the store to have my watch and jewelry repaired. Their jeweler is very experienced and does a great job. Helaine is so warm and friendly. From the moment I met her she made me feel like family. I think I have bought my share of jewelry for a long time. But it's nice to know that if I need anything, Helaine and Daniel are there. read more

I went to this store for a minor jewelry repair. There is a sign at the entrance that customers need to wear face masks, for which I was grateful. Upon entering the store, a man behind the counter quickly put on his mask, as if to suggest, "Oh oh, you caught me!" Other employees were wearing plexiglass shields but no masks. Upon receiving my item for repair, the employee removed her face shield all together (she could have switched to a mask and still been able to see her work). I wouldn't use this jeweler again ever! Theybtooknthe diamond out of my Mother's engagement ring and replaced it with CZ!!! Then had the merve to claim they couldn't fimd my ring for several months. Great little neighborhood jewelry store. I have been here several times for batteries for my watches and to clean my rings. Today we were here to size my husbands wedding band which was two sizes to small. I also needed a watch battery and to get my rings cleaned. The jeweler noticed my rings needed rhodium plating, which makes the gold resist to scratches and tarnish, and gives a white reflective appearance. My rings looked like new. My husbands wedding band was like new as well. They did this within a hour and prices were so fair. I did look around and they do have a large selection of beautiful jewelry. I took an expensive Longines watch which was running slow to this jewler. They said they could fix it and charged me $200.00. After picking it up it did not run correctly. I brought it back to them a second time and they still could not get it to run correctly. They are not Longines authorized and this was a complete rip-off! Do not trust what they tell you. read more

where do I start? I did some research on gold filled jewelry seeing as I am allergic to anything that isn't real gold. I asked the helpful lady at the counter 10 times (no exaggeration) is this real gold please don't sell it to me if it isn't I'd rather spend more money and cancel out the painful itchy rash. She assured me it's real I will have no issues. I cashed her out then left and went home. Excited as anyone would be with a new gold chain. I called the company the chain was made by and to my surprise the owner guaranteed me over and over again that they do not make anything in gold filled or real gold. I called the store back again and she continued to lie to me. I really am not so mad at the fact she lied to me but after doing some more research the same chain she sold me goes for $10 anywhere else. So not only do I have the lovely fake chain embarrassing itchy as can be rash but I also have the I just got took for 100xs my money feeling. They were extremely quick to give me my money back seeing as selling fake gold is illegal. Any goldfilled products must be stamped and advertised as exactly what they are along with karat value. I didn't call the better business or law enforcement because it wasn't worth my time or their time seeing as our tax dollars pay for it. I hope they don't do this to anyone else. Please folks be extremely careful what you buy from them. You worked very hard for your money there is no reason why you can't get your money's worth and get a second opinion. Thanks!!!! read more

horrible expirience!!! i bought a ring at 2500, but do to my inexpirience it was too small and the quality of the dimand was average. I went to the mall (littleman lewlers) and got a ring 3 times bigger and the dimond was better quality, i only paid 1100. After, i needed to get a wedding band so i went back because the lady said that we could always come back and still get the same value that we paid. when i got there she said i used it for to many days wich was only a few months so it lost value. so i asked her how much credit would i get for a 2500 dollar ring and she said 200 dollars. So i kept the ring as a reminder to let me know not to trust anyone...oh by the way the ring was resized and a dimond fell off. they did replace it that was the only thing good i could say about them she also did give me an apraisal shee saying it was worth 2800 thats not true! if you do buy keep your recipt because they are a bit old school so they dont keep file of your purchase read more
