I walked in for my appointment and there was only one person at the front desk. She was typing a document. I stood there 2 minutes before she even acknowledged me as she continued to type. I know she saw me. Continuing typing without looking up or at me, Sandra rudely said I will be with you in a minute. Two more minutes went by as she typed away then she asked me how could she help me. I responded. I have a 2 o'clock appointment. When I gave her my name she told me to have a seat in one of the rooms. Her dryness almost seems like she's mad at the world or she is angry about something that is beyond her control, but she likes to push it off on other people. If this is the face of the company that she wants them to see, then I will take my business somewhere else. I almost thought it was because of race. But I don't pull that card because not all things relate to that. She is just an angry prude. On a more positive note, Carla and some of the other staff are absolutely amazing! They lighten the atmosphere so much. The positive energy they exhibit goes without saying that it makes for a great experience.

The result ended up being a major back surgery of a Lumbar 360 Infusion at two levels, with titanium cage placement and several bone grafts with it. The reason for our encounter was, I ended up being referred to him as an emergency, due to a failed Lumbar Laminectomy 7 months prior. Fast forward 20 years later (now) I've done okay, but we're at a crossroads of having to go back to surgery again. I'm very grateful for him and the work he had done. The recovery went well and I couldn't have been more grateful. The office staff were very helpful and was always very friendly and caring.

After multiple phone calls, I was able to schedule an appointment for my daughter that was 6 weeks out. Our appt was for 3 pm on Friday afternoon. Due to some traffic, we were running a few minutes late (my bad!). At 3:04, I called to let them know we are on the way. I was placed on hold and by the time we were in line at the office (3:07), I was still holding on the phone. The waiting room was packed with people, so it's doubtful that they were running on time. So, I checked in with the rude, grumpy front counter lady at 3:08, who barked "you're late, so you'll need to reschedule". Seriously?! No thanks!

Yet they kept me on the schedule and kept sending me text messages confirming no changes to the appointment the night prior. The lady behind the window was rude, unapologetic and didn't take accountability for wasted time and efforts. She insisted they called and left a message 2 days before the appointment. I verified they had the correct cell number, but my cell has zero missed call from Hanger Clinic and no voicemail. The lady in charge of appointment scheduling and Dan (supervisor) didn't apologize and pointed and blamed others....They both displayed a lack of respect, empathy and subpar management skills.

Fale was also a big help with bringing out several choices of shoes and helped me select a pair for the best comfort. My next stop was the skin care items and a few gift sets from beauty, with some cool l gift with purchases as well. Being a valued customer, I was also gifted a nice travel bag, with a coupon for a drink, a lunch, and a $15 coupon for a future purchase in Beauty. The cashier desk in the men's section is completely incompetent. One cashier took 12 minutes to ring up four shirts. The other cashier, who was new and kept mis-entering items to the purchase while having a high maintenance customer who was asking for help while ringing ....stupid questions like should I do a pocket square with this? There were two other Nordstrom staff looking up stuff on their phones but no one to help a customer. I get to the register, ask for the big & tall section for suits, and Nordstrom doesn't have one. So I waited, waited, and waited just to find they didn't even have what was needed. Nordstrom should staff up for big sales and get efficient cashiers in the men's section. I got a lovely Michael Kors suit at Macy's in a 44 Long and they have a much bigger suit section. Also, their Black Friday in July sale was worth it so Nordstrom's loss is Macy's gain. Take note!
