The shrewd, rude and unprofessional attitudes experienced by almost all of the staff should be enough to close the doors. I walked in for my appointment and there was only one person at the front desk. She was typing a document. I stood there 2 minutes before she even acknowledged me as she continued to type. I know she saw me. Continuing typing without looking up or at me, Sandra rudely said I will be with you in a minute. Two more minutes went by as she typed away then she asked me how could she help me. I responded. I have a 2 o'clock appointment. When I gave her my name she told me to have a seat in one of the rooms. Her dryness almost seems like she's mad at the world or she is angry about something that is beyond her control, but she likes to push it off on other people. If this is the face of the company that she wants them to see, then I will take my business somewhere else. I almost thought it was because of race. But I don't pull that card because not all things relate to that. She is just an angry prude. On a more positive note, Carla and some of the other staff are absolutely amazing! They lighten the atmosphere so much. The positive energy they exhibit goes without saying that it makes for a great experience. read more

I had a good visit to Hanger Clinic for my sneaker inserts this past week. Once they came in, Hanger Clinic called and we had the appointment scheduled. When I arrived, they were fitted, adjusted, and I tried them out and they are working great. I did read several of the prior reviews and did not have any bad experiences. These morons are so brainwashed with their paper dust masks on telling me that they are protecting me and would not see me because I don't play the covid theater game to destroy America with a paper dust mask. Find another doctor with a brain. These guys don't even understand that the tear duct which is called a lacrimal gland is connected behind the nasal cavity and with the eyes expose the dust mask is useless. I've been at the Folsom Clinic for awhile now and back in I want to say late February and i was fitted for new shoes in April i returned and i put my new shoes on and i express that they felt very tight and was told it well relax as i wear them well after 1 hour wearing them the hurt my feet so bad i had to take them off but was told to start wearing them a couple of hours a day just until i get used to them well that didn't happen i had to make a small slit in them as i always had to to get some relief from the pain but this time no luck the pain was intense. S i then left a message on their voice mail because it was after hours or they were busy few days later i recieved a call asking what the problem was and when i made it clear i wasnt happy and was told that the person i spoke with said they would ourder me some new shoes wider and at that point i never heared back from them so i made a call and was asured that someone in management would call me back to see what happen well that went on for 2 months and i made 2 more calls at this time nothing has been done no call backs so i find that im not wourthy of thie concerns to the problems. read more

Was referred by my podiatrist as Hanger was $150 cheaper for custom orthodics. Went in and told the technician I wanted the hard plastic inserts without the foam. He said, "Yes, I know exactly what you need." A month later, I went in to pick them up, and they were not what I asked for. I was desperate for relief, so I accepted them. I mentioned this in their satisfaction survey, and they promptly got me back in to see what I assume was the supervisor. I explained clearly what happened, and he told me I wouldn't want the hard plastic inserts and my facia was really tight. Yeah, I know ALL about my facia. My facia lets me know its status with every step. I'll just pay the extra money to my podiatrist next time since I know he has listening skills. read more

I am a LAKA and have going here for a few years. I was put into a suction socket. Even though I told the tech that they have never worked for me due to irregularities in my limb. Indeed it did not work and kept falling off. Now six weeks ago today I called to order more sleeves and told the secretary what I wanted and size that works. I was told they have arrived two days ago and I drove 40 minutes to pick them up. they were the wrong ones. it was the ones the prosthetist wanted me to have, not the ones that have worked the best for me. The ones he wanted me to have were more expensive of course. He also said I needed new socks and suspension belts. I didn't order these items because I don't, and haven't, used them. Now I am told they will send the new ones to my house. This place and people are horrible and now I have to find somebody that will actually listen and do what I want. Horrible place!! read more

Had 2 appointments for my 88 year old mother to get fitted for support inserts. First app was canceled which left mom in pain for another 3 weeks. Went to new app date. Made a follow up app for when inserts were to be put in shoes. The office called me as I was driving from South Lake Tahoe for app they made to tell me that her app was cancelled once again!! I was not happy with day of cancellation. I told them they should take some money her bill since they canceled her app with no real notice. Of coarse they did not. To that office my time and money doesn't matter, only theirs matters!! Paid full bill and we will NEVER GO BACK! Bad customer service! Would give them no stars if it was availabl. read more

Terrible. My toddler was referred here for his orthotics. The first appointment with Dr August was a little strange, he seemed aloof and almost confused at questions I'd ask. He didn't have sample orthotics to show us and it didn't seem very child friendly. He took measurements, we made an appointment 3 weeks out to come back and get the new orthotics. That visit was a little odd to me but I was hopeful the next appointment would be better. The next appointment my toddler and I sat in the lobby 20 minutes after our appointment scheduled time. The receptionist didn't let us know why, we just sat there waiting and I had to try to contain an already impatient toddler. At one point during our wait Dr Ausust walked through the lobby and looked at my son and said "hi boy", this upset me as we were his next appointment, he'd met us before, and he called my son "boy" like he didn't know who we were.... a little odd. Finally Dr August came into the lobby and sat down and said that the orthotics were not in. My son and I were made to wait in the lobby when the orthotics were not even in! We drove over an hour away and this was quite upsetting. The Dr then started blaming the "east coast" for running at a different time and blaming that as the reason the orthotics were not in. He then proceeded in telling me he was going to reorder the orthotics to see if they would come in faster than the previously ordered orthotics!?? Umm didn't make much sense but okay... then he said he had to take new measurements of my sons feet! So I'm pretty sure he lost the first measurements and/or the first order was never submitted. Then the Dr said there was no reason to come ALL the way back to pick up the new orthotics that he could ship them to me or my husband could pick them up. He also said he would call me tomorrow or the receptionist with update of when that would be. The next day NOBODY called me, 3 days later my husband called the clinic very upset and a receptionist told him they would be in on Friday. After everything we had to go through I wasn't going to drive over and hour with my small toddler to get jerked around again. So my husband got the orthotics on that Friday and when he got home they were not the correct orthotics!! They were HUGE! My son is 22 months old and these were big enough for a 5 year old! I called my sons physical therapist and we were given a new referral to a different clinic. From the first appointment they had a teddy bear wearing orthotics he got to play with and they let him pick out his orthotics design. They were super caring and helpful!!! Comparing it to my experience at Hanger I honestly cannot believe they can conduct business the way they do with people. My son was set back over 2 months getting his orthotics going to this place. If you are referred here for your child, ask for a new referral to somewhere else. read more

I have had 3 ankle braces made over the last 5 years or so and I am sorry to say all of them were worthless. They blamed it on the doctor not writing a good prescription. That may have been true, but it is there responsibility to make sure they are making a usable product. It sure does seem to me that they really do not care if the customer is happy with the product that they have made.There should be some follow up to see how happy the customer is after a few weeks of using it. read more

I was rear ended in an auto accident & was told my ACL was so bad there was nothing they could due because I had other health issues too severe to chance a knee replacement. I was referred to Dr Wasim Akhtar whom was very conscientious and had a custom made brace for my knee so at least I could walk with minimal pain. I can't rave enough about the clinic & staff, & recommend anyone who needs a back, shoulder, knee, or neck, etc., please see this staff!! A++++++ read more

I have a Charcot foot (a bump on the sole of my foot) and have had three attempts to get custom footwear that accommodates that bump. While an effort was made to create a mold of my feet, results have not been good. A first pair were a bit snug in width. Because of neuropathy, I was unaware. After a week of light walking, I saw blood on my left foot at the little toe. Off to the podiatrist, then on to the ER. That night my toe was amputated! Those shoes went into the trash. Then I got a second pair. This time, boots! The insole was practically flat with only a small indent where the bump would sit. I wore then for about a week and the friction rubbed the bump enough to cause bleeding. I spent six months visiting Would Care every week for repair work. While there, I mentioned that I wished there were a HOLE in the insole! The doc took some stiff foam and made me an insole with a hole for the bump. I wore this for almost two years, no thanks to Hanger but yes for the Would Care doc. Then I qualified for a new pair of low "normal" shoes. I was sent back to Hanger (!) and they made another pair much like the first one. This time I only walked to the var and up to my apartment. I took off the shoes and ihefront of my right sock was really bloody! The shoes are too short and my toenails on both feet were bleeding, the big toe's nail was knocked off/ Three pairs of shoes, three times I needed medical attention. I asked if my insurance payment to them could be canceled? No luck. They had billed my insurance $1,000.00! Insurance paid about $260.00. I resent that Hanger collected anything. Insurance asked if they might get Hanger to make me a free pair? I said if Hanger PAID ME $100 to take some new shoes, I would say no. read more

TERRIBLE. Dr. August why wood you tell me I cant keep my shoes that I've had for a year? You said that's the way Medicare works. They Medicare want the old shoes back. Well they don't. Those shoes are custom made for me. You had no right to keep them. Well thanks to Jennifer's attitude, I did some research and found out that's a lie. I am going to file a complaint with Medicare and anyone else. Im going to hopefully change that bad attitude of one of your employees. Jennifer. Were patients. Most of hurt so bad, we don't need someone like you to enhance our pain. You should try taking a peoples course. Lets see how many more people have had problems with this office! Zero stars. Too long to explain in detail. Basically they had to special order my sling after surgery. Waited a week for them to try and give me an abduction pillow (without a sling) when my Rx specifically said "No abduction." The guy tried to argue with me about what I was prescribed. Turned out they forgot to order it the week prior and were straight up trying to pull a fast one on me. I overheard him telling the office staff about their mistake. Like I'm an idiot and don't know what I need. Apparently, the Roseville branch had what I was prescribed, in stock, THE WHOLE TIME. I shouldn't have had to wait a week for them to lie to me and try and give me something that could potentially hurt my shoulder repair. Seriously, the worst experience I've had with a business...ever! read more

They were in Cameron Park when I used them the first two times for foot orthotics as my feet over-pronate while walking/running, and that was over a decade ago. I then used them about 8 years ago at their E. Bidwell Office in Folsom and got more great results. They first took my mold measurements by having me stand in a foam filled box and sending those to their lab where a graphite material orthotic was made for me. They worked great, eliminating any arch pain and supporting my feet until the past year. I came again to get a new one made for my left foot as it seemed be over-pronating more than previously, making it necessary to get new support. They did it for both and this time got a pair of orthotics that were slightly different in their support system, but have turned out quite well. It wasn't difficult to get appts for fitting, with Jennifer, who was happy to explain why it was better to get the both feet done than just the one. There were some problems picking up my orthotics b/c I was supposed to have an appt to do so, but as I couldn't seem to get one, I just dropped in and took the orthotics home with me. They were slipping in my shoes so they put velcro on the bottom. I had a follow up appt with Jennifer b/c the orthotics were fitting my feet differently due to another approach, and she told me that it they continued to feel weird or not right she would have them redone. After another few weeks of wearing them, they are great and I would definitely recommend going here.
