It's the Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom's for the next three weeks, and a great time to see all the new fall inventory on sale. I took my granddaughter to start her back to school collection, and was assisted by Mimi up in juniors, who helped us gather quite a few items for her to try on. I love the attention Mimi took to go around to gather items for my granddaughter to try on. She did not have to leave the dressing at all, and I was able to sit right outside her door to give my unwanted opinion. Fale was also a big help with bringing out several choices of shoes and helped me select a pair for the best comfort. My next stop was the skin care items and a few gift sets from beauty, with some cool l gift with purchases as well. Being a valued customer, I was also gifted a nice travel bag, with a coupon for a drink, a lunch, and a $15 coupon for a future purchase in Beauty. As anticipated, it was packed on a Sunday afternoon. But not too packed to affect the customer service. I shopped around the men's sections during this trip for my husband. All of the employees were friendly and asked if we needed help. Chris Horne is the best! Whenever I run into him, he's always so friendly, funny and overall personable. I needed a fancy dress in a hurry, as in I need to wear it tomorrow. I tried on a few dresses and it was not working out. I told the assistant at the register what I was looking for. While I was trying on another fail Aliyah looked for a dress for me. I came out of the dressing room disappointed from the last dress I tried but Aliyah had a gem waiting for me. I tried it and it was just right. I asked if Nordstrom sold Shapeware and she said oh yeah just go straight across. We have it in lingerie. There I met the excellent Lindsey who was so kind and did not make me feel weird when I asked a ton of noob questions about Shapeware. She was signing off for the day, but handed me off to Victoria. I ended up with the right Shapeware that went seamlessly under my new cocktail dress. I am so delighted that I found what I needed at the very last minute and that Nordstrom had the right people in the right place to help me. I'm leaving my regular department store and making Nordstrom my first choice now. read more

I always have a great experience at this Nordstrom location, and this visit was no exception! I stopped in to get my son's feet measured after a couple of pairs of shoes I bought at Kohl's turned out too tight and had to be returned. As soon as I walked up to the sales associate and asked for help, he was so friendly and said, 'absolutely.' He came over a moment later and measured my son's feet. My son knew he wanted blue shoes, and the second pair he tried on fit perfectly and was in stock. Checkout was incredibly quick. I didn't catch the sales rep's name, but he was great! Coming here brought back fond memories, as I remember getting my son's very first walking shoes at this exact store. Highly recommend their shoe department! read more

To all the ladies out there who have endured tedious & frustrating bra shopping, I'm happy to report a good experience can be had here. I didn't need one myself, but you can schedule a free 30 minute bra fitting appointment online. I could hear consultations happening in the fitting rooms from staff that sounded knowledgeable & friendly. I wanted to try a certain brand that they sell here. The department was nicely organized. I was approached by Alyanna who offered assistance. She retrieved my size from the stock room when I couldn't find it on the racks. She also set me up with a fitting room & checked on me to see how it was going. She rang me up & wrapped my purchases nicely. If I could wax poetic about the customer service I receive every time I shop with Melissa Cosmo at the Chanel counter at Nordstrom's, you would know that exceptional experience can still be found. As heart-broken I was when Nordstrom's at Arden Fair closed, I was thrilled that Melissa had transferred to Roseville Galleria. While I can no longer pop over during lunch for a quick peek at all the new products, I make a point of booking a reservation with Melissa and make the trip up to the Galleria. Every time, I leave feeling better than I do after a spa day. She makes sure I have samples of potions and lotions she's suggested based on my questions and new options. I went in an Nordstrom last weekend to look for baby strollers. I was impressed at the knowledge of every employee that helped me. They truly cared about what I was looking for in a stroller and what was important to me. I am very thankful that Nordstrom still offers an opportunity to see strollers in real life and push them around. Again, super impressed with how much knowledge each employee had about all of the baby items in that section. I've always been happy with my experiences at Nordstrom, but this one was next level. There are no places locally aside from Nordstrom that offer so many options to showcase baby items these days. Yes target or Walmart may have some things that they can show you however, I'm looking for high-quality and something that will last a long time. Nordstrom is known for that so therefore, I trust the brands and the people helping me there in selecting what I needed. I also appreciated that each employee I worked with was patient and kind and was not pushing me to purchase immediately. I had to return two comforters that I had bought online. One was in a box that was very big and hard for me to handle. I thought I was going to have to have my son come back with me to take them into the store. But I needed to return them this week. I went to the customer service area and explained my problem. Melissa very kindly said she would go out to my car with me to bring them in the store. She had a hand cart that would bring both at the same time. She was so pleasant. The employees at so many stores can be so condescending, especially when you need to return something. But Melissa didn't act bothered at all that I needed help. I really appreciate it. read more

This place is honestly disappointing. It smells unpleasant--like dirty feet--which immediately puts you off. The overall atmosphere feels negative, like the employees don't want to be there. Customer service is lacking, and there doesn't seem to be much knowledge or interest in style or fashion, which is surprising for a store like this. Every time I've tried shopping here--even for something simple like a pair of jeans--it's been the same experience. Staff are often standing around talking and complaining instead of helping customers. It's no wonder there are so many returns . The return process is also frustrating. They say you can go to any register instead of waiting in line, but when you actually do that, staff often walk away, ignore you, or respond with a bad attitude when you're trying to make a return. It feels very disorganized and unwelcoming.( especially the rude Caucasian guy in shoes ) At this point, I'd rather drive two hours to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek than shop here again. read more

I have been steaming for weeks to write review as I was angry and upset the way I was treated in the men's suit section. I would also state I have been a long time customer of Nordstrom starting when they were located at the Arden shopping Mall which has since closed, I have always experienced stellar customer service. I went to Nordstrom on July 9th first day of the Anniversary Sale. Purchased some shoes for my daughter, reps were great. I walked around the mens clothing line, not one person made an effort to help me. Some reps were just socializing not helping customers it was early before noon. I went to cologne counter and asked if she could help me, she walked me over to mens suits and middle aged blonde lady started to help me. I stated I was interested in Anniversary items. She pick three suits and lay them out. I stated I wanted to get my daughter's opinion who was sitting 15 seconds away by the guy playing music. I immediately retuned with my daughter and the suits were gone, rep was helping another person. She looked my way and made no effort to let me know she would be with me, I am assuming she had hooked a bigger commission. She made me feel like I was insignificant. I did want to buy a Peter Milan suit, I had to look for it myself or Canali suit not sure anymore. read more

I had 2 different experiences in 1 day, it's Thursday 4/30 around 11/12 o'clock. The lady upstairs in the dresses area is a gem she was so kind and sweet she put a smile on my face. But then that surely went away when I went down stairs in the men's section around viouri.. the young girl that checked me out was a b... absolutely had an attitude her tone was negative and off. And I said thank you very much, I waited a sec for her to reply, and she just stared at me with a straight mean mug look. I said I guess not, and walked away. I waited to finally post my review after multiple bad experiences. Nordstrom doesn't seem to care about their customer service anymore, which being a cardholder is now disappointing. The discrimination and racial profiling is outrageous here and it's not on one but multiple occasions. I came in here to do an online return as well as to purchase a Nuna stroller and car seat. I am standing in line in the children's department and a lady by the name Chris/Kris/Cris says to me "oh you can go over to that register" pointing to the one lone register in the back. Then she proceeds to help the customer that was standing behind me who also had a return. The only difference was that I was a woman of color. She then sends another customer of color to the same register she sent me to. I proceeded to be helped by the associate Chandler who tells me that the lady is his manager. I mentioned to him this is not the first time this has happened with this lady Chris/Cris/Kris. He kindly apologized for the way I was treated and agreed it wasn't right. With that being said, Nordstrom Galleria management, I see you respond to these reviews but is management actually doing something about it because it does not seem like it. Please train your employees to do better and treat all customers equally and stop with the racial profiling and discrimination. read more

I have been a Nordstrom customer for 35 plus years and have made numerous purchases at stores throughout the western US, but primarily at the stores in the bay area located in San Jose and Palo Alto. With that frame of reference, my recent two experiences at the store at the Roseville Galleria were grossly disappointing in regard to both the inventory and service within the men's department. On one recent visit, after spending about 10-15 minutes being ignored by the only employee in men's suits, which was a middle aged women that was not busy with anyone else, she finally approached me and asked what I was looking for and the size I needed. Although I know my precise size requirements, she insisted on having me try on numerous suit and sport coats in European branded sizing, claiming that was most of what they had in store and anything else would have to be ordered. I explained that I have several Peter Millar suits that were purchased at Nordstrom's and that company is not European. Her response was to tell me that newer Peter Millar clothing was more of a European fit and therefore, I must have some "older" suits that are fitted in a more traditional style. I then tried on a Peter Millar suit jacket in my size and it fit perfectly. Feeling insulted and disappointed by the service and selection, I opted to leave. I will not shop at a store that has employees that present an arrogant, condescending attitude in an attempt to act superior to others. read more

Walked over to the rack tried on the dress and bought it. Not a shock people come here to try on dresses and order online. Only redeeming quality of Nordstrom still has a great return policy. Yesterday my friend Genia and I went to the Nordstrom shoe department. We were greeted by Bernard who assisted Genia in finding a quality "dressy" shoe that would be comfortable. She has small narrow feet with a high arch. Bernard pulled several shoes for her to try. He had an extensive knowledge of quality shoe brands. He also knew what shoes would fit properly. If you go here for alterations, and you want your alterations shipped to you, be sure to triple-check that they will actually do so. I got a text saying my alterations were ready to be picked up. Since then, I have been on the phone with customer service for half an hour trying to get them to just ship my alterations to me like they had promised they would do in the first place. And this wasn't a small order; it was nearly a thousand dollars, which you think might lead them to treat the order with a little more care. I'm so annoyed that the Arden Nordstrom closed, because that was the closest one to me. This is the first time I've used the Galleria Nordstrom, but I guess I'll have to try the Walnut Creek one instead. read more

I went to Nordstrom today with the intent of purchasing a pair of Hiroshi Kato Japanese Denim Jeans and two Eton shirts ( 16 1/2 Slim Fit ). I was waiting in the area between the Jeans and shirts for a good 15 to 20 minutes. Many Nordstrom salespeople walked by me without offering to help. One lady, blonde hair, barely said hello and then positioned herself a couple of rows away from me. It was very disappointing that no one approached me to help. I was ready to buy these items! WTH! I feel that at Nordstrom, I shouldn't have to chase down a salesperson. Super lousy customer service. Then, I went to the Men's shoe area. I wanted to buy a pair of Addias Sambas. I did the same as before, I positioned myself in front of the shoes and waited. To my surprise, a salesperson ( Andy ) actually approached me and offered assistance. Yes, I did end up buying the shoes from Andy who was super helpful. My husband went in to buy a suit jacket 5/27/25 to buy a blazer. The older man working in the suit department asked him what his budget was and my husband told him a few hundred dollars, the worker responded "not for that price". Attention all mamas and stroller buyers! I had huge issues with ordering my silver cross stroller from this Nordstrom, and after delaying my order they didn't offer be any compensation. I came in with my husband and we ordered and payed for the Wave 3 silver cross stroller. The next day the order was canceled, we came in person to make sure the funds were approved. I called and customer service said they weren't sure why it was canceled and they would call me back. I called the next day to inquire and they said they still were unable to determine why it was cancelled, but I was able to place the order again with the representative. The funds cleared and my package was on its way to be delivered OCT 31. We waited and kept checking the tracking, and they kept pushing back the date. First to NOV 5 and now NOV 8. I called and they let me know that my package was miss-directed and sent to another facility 1 state away. I asked for some form of compensation and the team lead helping me out today said they can't do anything. Nordstrom is responsible for the products you purchase through them. They claim it's the "product shippers" fault, when you purchased and overpayed them for their "quick and easy" services. You purchase from them, it's their responsibility. Mamas, do yourselves a favor. Order directly from silver cross, cybex, mockingbird, Nuna, or any other large baby/stroller purchases, or get them from target or Amazon. Recently I started getting into finding and trying out new colognes. One of my best friends recommend I check out Nordstrom because they have a wide variety of colognes, including some that the local competitors don't have e.g. Hermès. Although the first few times I came here I didn't have a really pleasant experience. I would catch side eye stares and was told in a condescending tone by a worker that they don't price match, even though the website clearly states do price match certain competitors! It got so bad I was tempted to just give up on this store completely and take my business elsewhere. That was until today I came across one of the best employees they have who made the whole experience unforgettable. I've been looking for the Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Set; this includes a 3.4 oz bottle and two 0.33 oz travel-size bottles, and this was only store in the area that showed to have it in stock. A young salesperson named Thomas F approached me and asked if I needed any assistance. I explained to him I'm new to colognes, I've purchased four recently and I'm looking to add my fifth one but asked if he knew any others I should consider. Just like that Thomas opened up a plethora of useful knowledge, including tips and recommendations. We walked up and down that whole section and he showed me colognes I never even knew they had, he explained in great detail the notes that each one produced and answered all of my questions to the best of his abilities. He made me feel comfortable and not rushed! I left there with a new found respect for Nordstrom, a list of new colognes to consider, and even better a new acquaintance who I feel like I can honestly recommend & trust. I had initially placed a "same day" pick up order through the app. after finalizing my purchase, my order was switched to a delivery about 7 days from date of purchase. assuming this must be a mistake, I reached out to customer support and looked for clarification. They then informed me that the product I purchased was not yet in stock. I was then put on hold so they can double check inventory. After a brief pause I was told the product has "a good chance" to make it in today. Not wanting to take that chance I opted in for canceling my order in whole or taking a credit to swap it out for something IN STOCK. The customer rep then told me since the order is so fresh, cancelation would not be possible. I would need to wait a full day for their system to update, then take advantage of a credit or refund. After then deciding to wait the extra day for my order to arrive, I reach out to customer service to confirm arrival. To which I am assured it is at my home store. I show up the next day, To my surprise I am then told the order has STILL not arrived due to the truck being delayed. the staff while being as helpful as they could, did not have an answer for me other than try again tomorrow. No longer being on time restrictions, I decided to show up again next day. I once again called the store to confirm if my order has arrived, the service rep doubles down and confirmed order arrival. I am now being told today that it should be here at 5pm for their last delivery. I had a woman named Michelle, she was beyond respectful and empathetic. She tried to help with what ever tools she had while still offering helpful solutions. This is in no way a jab at the local staff. Their point of sale system, along with advertised wait times or delivery's are complete BS. Waste of time, and money. Stay far away from their mobile pick ups or same days. read more

I noticed since the Mexican Retailer acquired 49.9% of the stores the quality has gone downhill. For example my Sister and I were looking at the shoe dept, and the brands we are used to were replaced by brands Ive never heard of. No longer do they carry the higher end brand. I returned an item in the store 7 days ago and today just received my refund? 7 days? But when you purchase items it takes 5 minutes. They are making interest by keeping our money. Today I took the plunge and walked through those Nordy doors to the shopping world of everything beautiful, trendy and new! Ah! A moment of silence please:). Are the days almost back when I can really just walk into any Nordstrom and all the window shopping opportunities??? Sigh! So Nordstrom is not my number one shopping destination and never has been.
