Cafe 86 - Ube Matcha Latte

Absolutely Delicious - A Must-Visit for Ube Lovers! Even…read morethough we recently moved away from Chino Hills to Henderson, NV, Cafe 86 remains one of our absolute favorite spots that we miss the most! Every time we visited, it was a guaranteed hit for the whole family. On our last go-around, we loaded up on our favorites, and as always, they did not disappoint: Ube Tres Leches: The undisputed star of the show. It is incredibly moist, perfectly sweet, and has the most amazing, rich ube flavor. You cannot leave without trying this! Halo Halo: Packed with all the traditional goodies and so refreshing. It's the BOMB. Ube Truffles: Bite-sized perfection. Rich, fudgy, and the ultimate little treat to take home (if they even make it to the car). Jasmine Milk Tea & Sea Salt Coffee: The perfect drink pairings. The jasmine milk tea is wonderfully fragrant and refreshing, while the sea salt coffee hits that perfect balance of bold, savory, and sweet. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and it's just the best place to treat the kids or catch up with friends. Chino Hills is so lucky to have this gem. If you haven't been yet, go change that immediately!

This cute shop is clean and very aesthetic. I will be back for sure. You already know what I came…read morefor... the HALO HALO. I was surprised to see that they had other ube and Filipino treats. I honestly did not do my research before coming... an Instagram post sent me, so I just ordered the one item (two of them, actually). I have to try more next time because after seeing the menu, I wanted more. The Halo Halo had flan, corn flakes, ube ice cream and other jiggly things inside it. It was very refreshing, you just have to give it a little "mix mix" (Halo Halo). Excited to try more!

I also love how connected they are to the local community, from their community board to plants from local vendors. Overall, such a comfortable, welcoming vibe with delicious food like their lox bagel and Biscoff latte. They also have a cute seasonal menu, like the Banana Cookie Dream Matcha! IG: socalhkfoodies

HORRIBLE customer service!! I went yesterday, Thursday for the first time as I was looking for…read morecoffee a little later in the day. I found this coffee shop near me so I decided to go with my sister in law. We arrived 10mins before closing time so I was excited to make it on time. Apparently the ridiculously rude young lady working there wasn't having it. She took a couple minutes to take our order since putting in the patio furniture was more important. When she finally finished, she came to the counter with a horrible attitude asking what we wanted. My sister in law wanted a hot coffee and she refused to served it since the machine was "off" already. Then she proceeded to order a banana iced coffee (don't know the name) and again the lady refused to make it since it was one of their most "complicated" drinks to make. We ended up ordering two "quick and easy" ice drinks. We asked if she was working alone... this lady only had rude comments and answers to say (smart ass). It is unfortunate to be treated that way specially when it was my first time there. It is also very unfortunate that the Spanish Latte I ordered was delicious, BUT I will never be returning or recommending this place due to the horrible customer service. I have family in the coffee business and customer service is always a priority, not at this location. Very disappointed with whoever hired her and trained her.

We wanted to love this daycare. We had been struggling to find a daycare that would accept and…read moresupport our son, who has speech and developmental delays, so we were hopeful that we had finally found a place where he would be cared for with patience and understanding. Unfortunately, our experience left us extremely disappointed and concerned. I happened to be watching the classroom livestream when I witnessed two separate physical interactions between Ms. Morgan and my son. During the first incident, my son had put a bucket on his head that he was not supposed to be wearing. Rather than speaking to him or asking him to give it to her, Ms. Morgan came behind him and snatched it away without any verbal warning. My son cannot speak well but he understands simple directions and will hand something over when asked. About 30 minutes later, Ms. Morgan lifted my son out of a chair and then pushed him away with enough force that he had to take a step forward to catch himself. What was just as upsetting as witnessing these incidents was the response from the director, Ms. Pam. After reviewing what happened, the blame was placed on our developmentally and speech-delayed child rather than the adult in the situation. We did not receive the remorse, accountability, or reassurance we expected from someone we trusted with caring for our child. What was most odd was that when we expressed how upset we were, the response seemed to change only after we mentioned leaving a review. We were told that we "didn't need to go that far." As parents, our priority was never a review-- it was how our child was treated and how our concerns were handled afterward. Children with developmental and communication delays require additional patience, redirection, and understanding. They should never be treated as though their disability excuses an adult handling them in a way that is concerning. I am incredibly grateful that I happened to be watching the livestream and saw these interactions myself. Based on what we witnessed and the way our concerns were handled afterward, we do not trust this daycare with our son. For parents ,especially parents of children who are nonverbal, speech delayed, or unable to tell you what happens during their day, pay close attention and advocate for your child when something doesn't feel right.

I truly applaud the preschool teachers--especially those in Room 3B--for being patient, reasonable, and communicative. My son absolutely loved having Ms. Morgan and Ms. Adele as his teachers. Ms. Pam and Ms. Lydia were also consistently welcoming and helpful. My son would almost hug Ms. Pam every day before we left Kiddie Academy, which speaks volumes about the caring environment they've created. Although my son is moving on to TK within the school district, we will miss Kiddie Academy dearly. I highly recommend this school to any parents looking for a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
