Great place, super helpful people and much less corporate feeling than other RV places around. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

We contacted CNC Service on a Saturday to assist us with our horse trailer. The hub had broken off…read moreof it and we had to pick up a horse on Sunday before we went back to NC. They requested pictures, which we provided, and they said they could fix it but the service call fee was $125. We agreed to pay the fee. They were very responsive at first and showed up on time to do the work. After inspecting the tire, bearings, and hub, they determined that we needed new bearings. My husband went with them to the store and purchased the parts that the repair guy told him to buy. They returned and completed the repair for $285. The next day, we drove 1 hour away to Wadmalaw Island to pick up the horse. When we got to the barn, the tires started smoking, the hub popped off again, and my entire tire fell off. This is extremely dangerous and could have resulted in serious injury to myself, my family, and the horse if it had happened while we were on the road back to NC. Luckily, it happened before we put the horse on the trailer so we were in a safe location. I reached out to CNC and they said that they should have replaced the hub in addition to the bearings. My husband stated that they never asked him to purchase a new hub. In the end, we agreed to receive a $100 refund since the repair did not hold. We had to take an extra day off from work in order to get the trailer to a repair shop on Monday since everything was closed Sunday. When they inspected the wheel when we got there, they found that the old interior bearing was never replaced. CNC just added the new bearing on top of the old one and put the old hub back on. The repair shop said that they would not have been able to secure the bolts well either because of the double bearings so that is the reason the tire fell off. I reached out to CNC and asked for a full refund since they did not actually complete the repair and they put us in a very dangerous situation. They are not responding. They have not taken responsibility for the situation. I highly recommend taking your vehicle to another repair shop versus using this service. We trusted them to fix our trailer and make it safe to drive. They are supposed to be the professionals so we purchased the parts that they told us to and took their word for it when they said it was fixed. Instead, we ended up in a dangerous situation that could have ended much worse if we were on the highway. Please do not put yourself in that situation. Stay safe and take your vehicle to an actual repair shop

I don't usually give out 5 stars very easily, but I would give them 6 if I could! We have a vary small teardrop camper and all the RV service places around town were backlogged until a month out. I called them and they were able to work my small issue in the same day. They really know trailers, from axels, bearings, brakes to tow and hitch equipment. Their bread and butter is boat trailers, but they had the experience and knowledge to help me out and did without batting an eye. Maggie (front desk) and Jeff were super helpful, kind and treated me like I was a part of the family, doing some extra work like checking joints and functionality of all the moving parts even though they definitely didn't have to. They even taught me a few new things about my trailer I didn't know. I give them my highest recommendation, if you need some trailer help, this is the place!

Seven Dodge Dealers-- said they couldn't help us because they either didn't want to work on an RV or they were too busy and we would be stranded for over a week. My son's friend Eric told us about how helpful General Diesel has been to him and others in the areal so I contacted them and spoke with Kenny. He was able to obtain the correct alternator for an engine only used by Winnebago for 2 years, and install it that day. We were met by Kenny who had a big welcoming smile. Not only did they install the alternator, but my husband, the dog Katie (a female Sheltie) and I were able to hang out in a comfortable waiting room. I had a great time chatting with several employees and meeting the watch dog Diesel, a very big but friendly animal. I have read the last two reviews of General Diesel and was stunned that Scott B. had so many negative things to say but then it was more than two years ago. My experience was beyond terrific and I want to dispel any hesitation you might have to use General Diesel! I have sung their praises to our friends and hope this review repudiates the one by Scott. I would not hesitate to use General Diesel should any other problems occur with our Diesel Engine! Major Kudos to Kenny and the others who took such fantastic care of our Travato and were able to get us back on the road to Cape Hatteras and our rendezvous with other Winnebago Class B Motor Homes! Sincerely Toni and Doug Barrows PS The Dodge dealer that said he could possibly get to us on Friday was going to charge us $4,500 because the part had to be sent from Atlanta, Georgia. Kenny was able to get the alternator locally and the total cost was a fraction of that! THANK YOU GENERAL DIESEL!!!

I can't speak for their storage or renting a truck but I can speak for their hitch installation. I…read morewill say I was nervous going in with all of the negative reviews and poor customer service experience I have read about this place. Even just general reviews online specifically about Uhaul hitch installations that tend to look very amateur'ish and obviously not OEM looking. However I decided to roll the dice and try them as this location is less than 3 miles from my house and their prices are the same or even cheaper depending on what hitch you get. Speaking of which hitch you get, just know Uhaul does not manufacture trailer hitches they will have to order it just like you would if you were trying to do this yourself at home. The trailer hitch Uhaul ordered for me was a CURT trailer hitch which I saw online from eTrailer while doing my research on aftermarket hitches so you could in theory do this yourself at home but without a lift and help I wouldn't recommend it. Took about a week for the trailer to arrive. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the work and turnaround time for the hitch install on my 2024 Acura MDX. It looks great and almost looks like it came with the car from the factory from Acura. And it took the installer a little over 30 mins to install and complete. I took off 2 stars because they scheduled my install time for 8am and when I arrived for my appointment to drop my car off they told me the hitch installer doesn't even show up normally until 11am to start. So why did they even schedule my appointment at 8am then? The guy working there told me I could wait there if I wanted to but they did not have a waiting room so he pointed to two chairs sitting by the bathroom and said I could sit there if I wanted to. He wasn't rude about it but also wasn't overly concerned or cared that I would be sitting there for 3 hours waiting until the hitch installer arrived. I could see how some of the reviews talk about their customer service...or lack thereof. If I knew I was going to be waiting that long I would've brought my laptop, tablet, or phone charger at least. ‍
