I wish I didn't have to even give them a single star but it is required. This company has horrible customer service. We had a radon system installed by them on July 31, 2025. They installed the system in our sump pump pit. After the installers left, our sump pump was not working and the pit was filling up with water. I reached out to Joe, our salesman and left messages for him. My husband called one of the installers and said the sump pump is not working and we are worried that our basement will flood. His response: Maybe you need a new sump pump! No offer to come and look at the installation! Finally my husband got a hold of someone the next day (Joe never did return my calls) and a different installer was sent out. Guess what? We did not need a new sump pump! The installers had the float stuck under the system and it was repaired. Second issue: We were left a second radon test to do after the installation. It was mailed in on August 6, 2025 and we never received the results of that second test. I called Protect Environmental on August 26 and was told that Joe would call me back. Guess what? Being customer focused is not just a company motto, they live, eat and breath it. Terry (owner), Tina, Joe and the crew are all responsive, personable and do quality work. We are selling our home and I had to get a radon fan motor replaced before inspection which was three days away. They bent over backwards to get someone here and replace the motor the next day. After the inspection the new owners wanted the motor relocated into the attic. Again, the team at Reliant Radon Solutions came through for us and had the motor moved within a couple of days. Phenomenal! A year ago we had a different radon company install our system. That company gave us a generic industrial fan that could be heard in New México. Joe came in, shared with us what he could do and we accepted the bid. Joe is remarkably thorough and detail oriented. Very impressed with our installation. We live in an older home in a neighborhood with higher radon levels. We had a peak level of 22-23 pCi/L radon pre mitigation. EPA recommends less than 4.0. Reliant was the only bidder out of four other Gold Star Rated mitigators (see Boulder county's website) that explicitly stated they would include sealing and depressuring our two crawl spaces in addition to subslab depressurization. No staged install, just a two day project that included everything. The price was on the lower end of the bidding spectrum as well, and our home purchase inspector had seen good installs by this company. Reliant's inspector for the bid was the actual installer which makes sense to me. Everything looks well done. I would probably have asked for "neater" edging of the encapsulation in the crawl space against the foundation walls but I am sort of OCD and this hardly matters as I'm looking to spray foam the concrete anyway eventually for energy savings. I waited one month to get the provided send out test back and our level came back at 1.2 ± 0.4 pCi/L. This is a great result. I plan to retest in 1-2 years to make sure everything still works well. A huge side benefit I didn't realize would occur was the encapsulated crawl spaces were apparently giving our home a vague musty smell. This is basically gone now. And the amount of bugs around the home has as well. read more

This was one of three companies we contacted for a quote to install a radon mitigation system. The owner/manager came out the next day to give us an estimate and I thought she had the best plan for routing the system in the most discreet way possible. Their price was competitive and the result was outstanding. Two things stood out: first, they used downspout instead of 4" round PVC pipe for most of the system and they were willing to paint the pipe for no extra charge. We gave them paint that matched our other downspouts, and the system looks way better than any other that I've seen. Second, there was a problem that came up as a result of the installation - and that's the real test of a company. Their reaction was quick and professional; they sent excellent people who took care of the problem perfectly. I would completely trust this company to be true to their word. read more

Top notch, professional service from beginning to end. We did a long term radon test in our finished basement and the results were 50% higher than the EPA recommended action level. Terry Kerwin, the owner of Reliant, came out and took a look at our situation including crawling around in our crawl space (we have a 1/2 finished basement). Terry recommended we perform a short term radon test in our family room which is above the crawl space. The radon level in our family room was elevated, but below the EPA standard. Terry suggested we address both the radon in the finished basement and the crawl space and designed a system to capture radon gas from both places and exhaust the radon gas using a single fan and exhaust pipe. The installation crew was done in day, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. They even painted the exhaust piping to match our home's siding. We ran a post-radon test in both the finished basement and in our family room and the results are now about 1/10 the EPA recommended level! Terrific! read more
