Good food and service. Brunch enjoyable, only on first Sunday of the month. Highly recommend for dinners, burger night, and Brunch.

Sorry no pictures! I forgot to take pictures the food was AMAZING! I had the French Onion soup, probably one of the best I have had. Super flavorful, I got the cup, I should have gotten the bowl. . Then I had the roasted beet salad with grilled chicken. Yes I ate the whole thing, It had goat cheese and toasted bread crumbs. Yes I had to have the Lemon Dream bar as dessert. While the building is beautiful, the food was disappointing. The crab dip tastes like tuna. The side salad was nothing but greens and everything had too much garlic (bread, fries, ranch dressing). The tenderloin was perfect. The patty melt was good. Surprised that there was no chicken dish in the entree choices. The server was not attentive. read more

Went for anniversary dinner. First time we'd been. Everything was great. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and it was creamy and flavorful. A friend and I each had Steak and potatoes, the steak was cooked perfectly medium as ordered, was both tender and wonderfully flavorful. My husband had the carbonara and he said it was some of the best he's had, and he is partial to restaurants on The Hill so that's saying a lot. Another friend had the pork belly and he declared it delicious and not a morsel was wasted. Service was top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and very knowledgeable staff. Have a decent beer and wine selection and a full bar. The restaurant is well kept in a nice setting. If you are looking to give it a try I say go for it. While the food was good, the 2 and a half hours it took us to complete our meal was ridiculous. The service was beyond slow. We waited a long time for a waitress to come to our table. We waited a long time for drinks to come from the bar. We waited a long time to have the waitress take our food order and then an hour and 45 minutes after being seated we finally got our food. Sadly a steak was over cooked and 20 minutes went by before a replacement came out. The only thing we did not wait on was our dessert and bill. If the bar and kitchen were busy it would have been nice for management or our waitress to have said something. This was ridiculous and I will not return nor ever suggest this restaurant to anyone. read more

Visited here for the first time. Brunch was terrific. Great selection, difficult to choose. We ordered one extra order not knowing portion sizes. Chicken and waffle were flavorful but the pieces were small. Turned out ok for me. Biscuits and gravy were a generous size. Burrito was huge. Nice atmosphere. Service was like clock work. Hostess was friendly and helped keep tables cleared. Waiter was straight forward, everything was fine but he could have been friendly. Otherwise a great experience! read more

WHEWWW!!! is all i can say! this restaurant was a 10/10 across the board, plus i think its pretty cool that it is located in an old train station. the service and food were amazing. our server was very attentive. how for the food- everyone ordered a different dish and there were no complaints. i ordered the short rib pasta and was blown away. i was not expecting it to have the amount of meat that it did, and was pleasantly surprised when i tasted it and it was packed with flavor and spice. i highly recommend proud richard's to anyone passing through or visiting jacksonville! read more

I was lucky enough to go with my girlfriends to dinner last night. We began with 2 delicious appetizers, the pimento cheese/crackers and the potatoes. Both were excellent. I ordered the filet mignon. It absolutely melted in my mouth. It was served with potatoes that were perfect with the steak. This was a win on the steak! We shared the warm s'mores bread pudding which was amazing!! We live in Chicago, but were visiting family in Jacksonville. We all went to dinner at Proud Richard's on Saturday and had a fabulous meal. The olive tots were a surprise hit; we all really liked them. The burgers and patty melts were all perfect - from the meat, to the bun or rye bread, and the aioli. I don't eat seafood, but others had the crab dip and scallops and had no complaints. We do not get to Jacksonville too often, but we will definitely return to Proud Richard's when we do. read more

The food and service are excellent. Menu is somewhat limited, but everything is prepared and presented to perfection. The crab cakes are not on the menu, but they should be. We had the crab dip, grilled asparagus, Mac and cheese, pozole, steak and potatoes. All were excellent. Drinks are very good, the wine list is limited but very good. We'll be back! read more

I have been here a few times and I enjoy trying new things on the menu. BUT tonight was the night to try the Patty Melt! I had heard good things about it but was nervous to try my favorite burger.... Let me just say that this was THE BEST Patty Melt I have ever had. Congrats to Proud Richard's and their staff for their innovation and taking the dining experience up several notches. If I was Richard, I would also be proud of my restaurant. I'm still in shock that they had 16 ounce cans of Son of Juice (one of our favorite Chicago microbrews) for $4. Hopefully no one tells Richard he's undercharging for that delightful hazy IPA. As for the food, the burger, patty melt, mussels, chicken and fries all got high marks from our group. Add in excellent service and the great ambiance of the old Lonzerotti's location and you've got a winning recipe (food pun) we for a great night out. read more

Located in an old renovated train station, Proud Richard's is a gem. Fine dining (but not overly pricey) with a twist, many seasonal & locally-sourced items served in a neutral atmosphere. (By neutral, I mean you will never be under- or over-dressed.) The chefs are very accommodating, willing to make gluten-free or vegan options. The only negative I would say is that it is very noisy. Probably can't be helped because of the structure itself. read more

My fiance and I went to Proud Richard's with our 8 year old daughter. The kids menu has a burger, Mac n cheese, etc. Our daughter asked for the chef to make her pasta with just butter. The chef refused, although they clearly have macaroni as well as least two adult entrees with pasta- angel hair and rigatoni. We were disappointed the chef would not accommodate such a simple request from a child. We were interested in using Proud Richard's as a caterer for our wedding in Jacksonville, but we will not be supporting their establishment any further. Don't go if you have any special requests, even food allergies or dietary needs. Atrocious customer service! read more

Not much of a variety, usually a small menu is a good menu. I saw only one steak item on the menu, which was $38 for a filet. One fish I believe, which was pretty similar in price for a filet of halibut. Looking at sea food, if you are not near the water source it inhabits, it's most likely not going to be fresh. Portion sizes are on the small side, but I'd have given it a solid 4 star with a little more items added to the menu. No place I'd jump up and down for. read more
