I'm so very happy I found Dr. Schlesinger here on Yelp! Back in 2016, I had a breast augmentation from another doctor. I was pleased at first, until about a year ago one side had lifted high and hardened and the other side was sagging/deflating. I tried to reach my doctor, but since Covid-19 he hasn't returned and apparently retired. I searched here on Yelp, made an appointment with another doctor that couldn't take me until end of July and charged $100 consultation fee. I decided to search again, and I read about Dr. Schlesinger. They could take me for a consultation in just a few days. My experience, hands down, has been amazing! From the first visit, his entire staff became friends and I loved everyone of them. No hesitation, I decided right there and then to book my surgery and I paid my down-payment. Because Dr. Larry has 2 offices with different yet fantastic staff in each location, it's only fair to write one review for each location. Surgery Center (Surgery, Ultrasound, Post Op). Initially, I came to Dr. Larry's office because I had a medical issue that my insurance would not cover. A friend of mine, a medical doctor from Queen's Hospital told me that I was actually a few thousand dollars short of a Mommy Makeover and that I should consider looking into the procedure. After 4 months of extensive research and interviewing several doctors, I chose Dr. Larry. I can't begin to express how pleased I am with Dr. Larry and his surgical staff; TC, Kim, Amber, Diana, Dr. Julie and the rest of the ladies were exceptional. From the moment I arrived at the center, I felt completely comfortable. The transition from his office staff to the surgical team was seamless. Not only are they professional they are personable, warm, and fun! I wasn't the least bit nervous going in. In fact, the last thing I remember was laughing before going under anesthesia. Aloha! Just wanted to write a quick review about Dr. S, but before that let me give you a brief history of my situation. I am a mother of two boys, both difficult pregnancies and I was on bed rest therefore weight gain was a result. I worked out afterward, weights, running, yoga, 1200 calories a day and still there was minimal results. I decided, I'm done I'm going to a plastic surgeon. Best decision ever! This man has made my body look incredible! He performed a lower body lift to tighten the lose skin after the weight loss and get my butt back where it was originally. Well, let me tell ya, the results were MORE than I anticipated! I was amazed how great my body looked-better than before my pregnancies, better than when I was 25. Guys, don't let the name "Mommy Makeover Clinic" fool you. Dr S. and his staff cater to us stubborn and tough skinned male species with a variety of different procedures. My story is probably no different than most guys. I have always been athletic playing sports and powerlifting throughout high school and college but lost control of my weight at various points in life. Having been 350+ and losing over 100 lbs multiple times in my life, took a toll on my body, leaving me with supplemental adipose and skin that hung loosely in an unflattering manner. This last go round of weight lose, I decided it was time to have a body lift and tummy tuck to rid myself of the extra skin. Not only did the perform the surgery flawlessly, (they back it up with a satisfactory guarantee), they made sure my recovery process was going well with regular check-ins and visits. I cannot say enough about Dr. Schlesinger! He is AMAZING! He and his staff are always willing to go above and beyond to care for your needs- before, during, and even years after your surgery. I had a previous bad lower abdomen liposuction many years prior by a Dr on Maui. This was because I wanted to get rid of the "mommy pouch" but wasn't done having kids. Needless to say, my stomach was left lumpy, with lots of drooping skin. After my kids, I looked terrible. My bra didn't fit right (very saggy breasts), my stomach hung over my panty line and was lumpy under my pants/shorts, and I just didn't feel good about myself. After reading Dr. Schlesinger's reviews, I felt I needed to consult with him. Right from the get-go, he and his staff made me feel very relaxed and comfortable in discussing my embarrassing issues. We discussed my game plan, and I scheduled a tummy tuck first, with a breast lift/augmentation to follow a little later. The morning of my surgery, I was extremely nervous, but the entire staff put me at ease. It was quite an extensive tummy tuck, since I had so much extra skin. And that night, one of his nurses helped me all night long. She was very gentle and caring, helping me through the night. In the morning, Dr. Schlesinger was there to see me post-op. After recovering for a few weeks, I had my breast lift/augmentation done. I went back to my hotel with my family that evening. However, the next day I needed to be checked out.
