When you are considering surgery it is so important to find someone who makes you feel very comfortable. I did look into two other surgeons before choosing Dr. Schlesinger, but their offices and personalities just seemed cold. His office staff members were friendly and professional and from the casual conversations between the patients it was obvious that everyone there felt at home with the staff and the doctor. From the date of my consult, Dr. Schlesinger made me feel at ease and helped me understand my options and decisions. On the day of the surgery, it was clear that surgery staff were professional and attentive and the doctor again walked me through the upcoming procedure. I don't think I have ever met such a caring physician and I have had more than one procedure because of my confidence in his skills. His aftercare is also amazing. When I went in for followups I did not see nurses, I always saw the doctor. If I had questions after hours, I did not have to call some impersonal service, he gives his patients his cell phone number and he either answers or returns calls quickly. He would rather come in on a Sunday to make sure that you are okay than have you wait until his office is "officially open" to see you. I am currently under his care, he is moving his practice into the use of PRP --which will help with post surgical scarring (apparently amongst many other things)--I look forward to seeing what innovations Dr. S. has up his sleeve. read more

Aloha, This is an update on Schlesinger and I urge you to rethink using his service. I have just completed my 2nd MICP review regarding finding more damage done to me by Schlesinger. The Medical review panel found that there was enough damage based on discovery to grant me another opportunity to file suit against Schlesinger. When I'm paying top dollar for services I expect first class treatment. First of all the office area is old and unattractive looking. When I arrived on time for my appointment there were 4 people ahead of me and it was so crowded I was ask to wait out in the hallway. That is a NO Go! Already the treatment is poor. I ask the receptionist if the Doctor was running behind schedule which I could see he was. She confirmed yes and I politely turn around and left. Per Dr. S's reply, he said gloves (we were at his surgical center) would have been used but I was looking at his hands and did not see any "clear" gloves on him. None of the other stuff he mentioned like drapes or betadine or anything covering my mouth was used. Just the numbing shots and the tools to snip out the white internal suture. Overall experience was great. Friendly Staff. Liquid nose job / filler success! It was my very first time visiting a plastic surgery/cosmetic clinic. I hesitated for a long time to write this review because I just wanted to forget this experience all together. I ended up here after doing some research and found Dr. Schlesinger to have a lot of "good reviews". I was looking to do my lips. I wanted filler that resulted in a plumper pout. Since I have never gotten filler or any type of cosmetic procedures I was nervous and excited. I honestly wish that I had gone somewhere else to save me from this whole experience. He decided to use Juviderm Voluma in my lips. I remember as he injected the product there was no thought about symmetry or even going around my border, it felt very uneven and was super painful. He didn't use gloves or any method for creating good symmetry. After this experience I went online and decided to look into the product I started to feel worried because I couldn't find anything that said that that was a good product to do the lips with. I found that many injectors would not put this products in lips. They use it to lift and contour face and cheeks! I was finding information that stated Juviderm Voluma was a harder product and is commonly used to create volume in the face else where such as cheeks bones area etc. I felt super nervous about what I learned. So after a few weeks I noticed a lot of bumps so I decided to go back and see if there is anything I could do to resolve it. The Doctor told me there was nothing he could do to resolve it and that it was common to have lumps and would resolve itself eventually. I brought up that I have looked into the product and he assured me that the product was safe for the lips and was long lasting and durable. I had a bumps hanging down my upper lip that I could literally feel with my tongue and teeth. my lips look super uneven and I didn't know any better and just looked like that for a while. I felt all the money I spent for the look was just not worth it. And left me off worse then before. With disfigured lips! Finally I had a friend told me about another location and since I wanted to go get them fuller I went and had a consultation. I showed the injector my lips and she was astonished at how lumpy and uneven they were. I told her that I was sad because there was nothing I could do to make it look better and asked if she could make it even. She then told me that there was some thing we could do we could resolve it by dissolving the filler! I was so relieved almost crying tears of joy because I literally thought I would have to live like this. I had such a different experience with her my lips were super plump after they were even once I healed they were so soft and smooth and absolutely no pumping. Dr. Schlesinger's office doesn't feel/ look sanitary, and his method is less then professional. I am so surprised that he has so many good reviews. I decided to share my story and these pictures because I don't want anybody else to have to experience what I experienced. A rough injector who used the wrong product, unprofessional and unsanitary office, poorly injected product, leaving my lips deformed, lumpy and bumpy. Sadly, about one month after getting my implants, one came out from under the muscle. Doc looked and said everything was fine. I moved back to the mainland and had 2 consults with plastic surgeons who stated it was in fact out from under my muscle. Less than 6 months later,the other one came out from the muscle as well. Initially, I came to Dr. Larry's office because I had a medical issue that my insurance would not cover. A friend of mine, a medical doctor from Queen's Hospital told me that I was actually a few thousand dollars short of a Mommy Makeover and that I should consider looking into the procedure. After 4 months of extensive research and interviewing several doctors, I chose Dr. Larry. I can't begin to express how pleased I am with Dr. Larry and his staff; Joanne, Sara, Crystal, and the rest of the ladies were exceptional. From our very first meeting in July, I felt completely comfortable. UPDATE: Dr. Schlesinger- after my tummy tuck I had infection after infection. You didn't know how to treat the infection and had to call on your "doctor friend" to advise you on what antibiotic to prescribe. You blamed me for the infection saying I shouldn't be touching the incision. I took very good care, changed my bedding regularly, washed my blankets regularly. You are the reason for the infection! You never wear gloves, you see patient after patient without washing your hands. You use your bare hands and touch my incisions. I went under anesthesia 4x because you were trying to "fix" your work. I am left with scars and pain with certain movements. Over a year later and I'm still wearing a binder because without it I swell and I'm in pain. Oh and let's not forget the gauze you left in my belly button that smelt so bad. I'm the one that discovered the gauze! read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Larry Schlesinger today @ 11:45AM. I arrived 5 minutes before. The first impression was already bad... the cheap looking Halloween decoration in the dingy old office, the receptionist who NEVER smile, and the food tongs on the floor (it's for picking up the pastries on the glass table.) The receptionist didn't even notice it, so it stays on the floor. Please see the picture I uploaded as the proof. A woman came in with an appointment, but the receptionist said that there was no appointment for her, I listened the conversation carefully, sounded like the receptionist messed up the schedule. (She blamed it was the software issue.) It was getting crowded with all kind of patients. I already waited for 20 minutes, so I asked the receptionist how long do I have to wait. In her cold facial expression, she said that the patient Dr. Schlesinger is seeing has lots of questions so it's taking longer. I told her I will wait 10 more minutes or I will leave. She never apologized, or she didn't even bother to pretend to look apologetic. I can see by all the people waiting and backed up, this place is very unorganized! He said that he would fix my CS scar and make it smaller or make it completely go away; instead, it's bigger and thicker. The scar went halfway through my back. I have to go to a more competent doctor to actually fix the scar, so I don't look like a Frankenstein. I wish I never went to this doctor. Horrifying and traumatizing experience! He keeps changing staff because he is an asshole towards people, unless of course you are paying him (i.e. patient). If he already has your money, his demeanor changes. Finally had the revision scheduled for October 9, 2022 flew to Hawaii for him to retract the surgery. he has blamed my anatomy, he has blamed my husband, which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, he's blamed everybody but himself and now I'm stuck with deformed, nasty, looking breasts.
