The issue: The insurance company's assessment of damages didn't align with what I had seen first-hand. For context, we had two VERY LARGE trees fall on our home during hurricane Irma. I personally (with the help of friends and family) cut down and removed the debris from the trees. The roof damage was very clearly substantial. This leads me to believe that their adjuster never even went on the roof, even after being told that's where the bulk of the damage was. The solution: Reach out to a third party adjuster to obtain a second opinion. After some research and calling around, we landed on All Pro Claims Adjuster as Gio and team were more than happy to talk with us and answer our questions as thoroughly as possible. The verdict: We were able to perform a full repair/replacement of our roof even after the insurance company's own adjuster denied (more like didn't even bother to properly check) there was any damage. The insurance's adjuster basically told us there are minimal damages and advised us against filing a claim as the amount we'd receive wouldn't even cover the damages. TLDR; Don't take the insurance company's word. They will try to save money wherever possible, even if there's legitimate damages for a proper claim. Save yourself the time and headache and contact All Pro Claims directly from the start. I have no doubt they will be able to help you out! Great communication from Gio and his team.
