I got my daith inner ear pierced here awhile ago. While the piercing is cute, the price was absolutely outrageous and costed way too much for what it was. As a college student, I should have made a smarter financial decision. The simple jewelry provided that every single other piercing shop has as well costed way more than it should. My 21 year old daughter visited this shop to see if she could get a tattoo done there. She was told that she would be able to get the tattoo later in the week, and she would be contacted. A $100 deposit was required but my daughter was not told how much the tattoo would cost. My daughter did not sign anything. After not hearing anything for a week, she went in to the tattoo shop and when she was told the tattoo would cost $400 (she was thinking the tattoo would cost around $200) she asked for a refund of the deposit. The lady got rather annoyed and flatly refused to give my daughter a refund of the $100. She also lied, saying that she told her an amount. She should have told my daughter that the deposit was non refundable and should have told her how much the tattoo would cost before insisting on a deposit. read more

I hope the owner reads this and reflects. I walked in and asked the owner of the store, "Hello! How much do you charge for just a standard cartilage piercing on one ear?" in which we she quickly analyzed me and replied "$80 dollars." I immediately in my mind am just thinking "Woah...this lady can't be for real..", but out loud I say with a polite smile, "That's a bit over my price range, thank you anyways!" and walk out the door. Out of curiosity, I call 4 other piercing shops within the same town and get price estimates of $40, $50, $50, and $60, which is exactly what I expected the price ranges to be. So here's the juicy part, I have my brother who's been with me through this whole piercing journey to call them and ask them for an estimate and see if they say something different. He calls and asks verbatim, "Hi there, I was wondering how much you charge for just a standard cartilage piercing on one ear?", which is the exact same question I asked. She replies back to him, "$60 dollars". My brother and I look at each other wide eyed knowing we just caught someone who blatantly tried to unfairly up-charge me for no explicable reason. We immediately think, "a random woman asks and it's an $80 dollar service/piercing, but when a random man asks it's a $60 dollar service/piercing? hmmm." I then say we should give her the benefit of the doubt and give her just one last chance to redeem herself, because even though this has happened to me many times in my life as a young woman, I genuinely don't like to believe that there are people out there that think that way. We go back in about 2 hours after our initial visit and I very politely say to her, "Hi there! I was in just a few hours ago and you had told me it would cost $80 dollars for a cartilage piercing, but I was wondering, would you be willing to do it for $60 dollars instead?", she then looks up at me and my brother and almost immediately cops both a face of recognition and a very embarrassed, nervous smile. While barely being able to look me in the eyes and already trying to inch herself away from the front counter she messily stammers, "no, not today, out of stock on standard jewelry, can't do it today, sorry but not doing it today". I could have easily called her out on her shady behavior, but after that embarrassing fumble and attempt to lie, I decided to just smile at her kindly and say, "that's alright, I hope you have a great day" and walk out of the store. I'm not a confrontational person, and wasn't going to start today. Based off of other reviews this owner has gotten by other young ladies, it's clear I'm not the first to be unfairly over charged and mistreated this way. I want to believe in my heart of hearts that she is a kind woman, but I hope she works on her sense of morality and compassion towards those who may look like they are easy to take advantage of. getting the piercing done was great, my daughter loved it have had issues with that. however she is just one month shy of when she got her septum pierced-one of her balls fell off. went to the shop to get another ball-have no problem paying for a ball. Did not have the correct ball to replace the ball lost-sold my daughter a completely different ball size,actually sold her a whole septum ring. I called to get a tripple helix and asked for pricing and she said $60, it took over an hour to do the three piercings and she had to change out jewelry because the previous ones didn't work and then I was told the total was $180 I paid without saying anything. A few months later I noticed they were all still infected regardless of cleaning them day and night. I went to have them removed when I was informed the wrong jewelry, jewelry thickness was used AND anatomically my ear wasn't suitable FOR THE PIERCINGS. So not only was I charged for poor quality but she didn't look at my ear and suggest I not get these piercings or only do one at a time. I THEN had to go to a dermatologist to get one of them surgically removed because as I said the wrong jewelry was used. I've never had this bad of service in my life. I was treated like a child, spoken to as if I was a burden. I was scheduled to get a tattoo and I arrived on time. She then took her sweet time and didn't start until two hours later. And didn't finish until three hours after. I just wanted something simple and she made the time being in the shop up to 5 hours. She was very unprofessional and wasted my time. She spoke to me rudely, and over charged me. She told me a price, and then changed her mind and made it $100 dollars more right as I was about to pay. She was also very rude to the girl trying to pierce my ears and was not professional. It also felt like she did not know what she was doing which was concerning. The owner saw that one of my single piercings was really uneven with the other and told me it made her mad and convinced me to have her re pierce a new hole to make them even. She made me believe that she was just helping me out and I figured the charge wouldn't be much more. They showed me their options for earrings and they only had very colorful stones and very large ones. They never discussed their prices and nothing was advertised. They also were not wearing masks and made us take ours off to pierce our ears. Once my ears were pierced it was fine. My friend just got her doubles pierced and it went well. When we were checking out they told us they don't take card and we had to venmo them which felt very unprofessional. They told us our totals and they were insane! Shauna is RUDE with horrid customer service skills. She reprimanded my kids for laying on her faux leather couch. That would not have been a huge deal had she not gone on and on and on and on telling them, in her nasty voice, that she spent a lot of money of them, etc. I would have left and gone elsewhere had it not been after 7:30 in the evening and it being a surprise for my daughter's 18th birthday...I was fearful of not finding another parlor that would be able to do the tattoo that evening. They were an hour late starting the tattoo for which we had an appointment. In fact, Shauna started on another walk-in and had her husband do my daughter's tattoo AN HOUR LATE! She went on to yell at her husband while he was doing the tattoo which made all of us uncomfortable AGAIN! To top it off, the tattoo was nowhere near as detailed as the picture we provided. I had gone to use the restroom and when I returned he already had the tattoo bandaged and started cleaning the supplies. Fearing the wrath of Shauna, we accepted the tattoo and left. She did not explain the after care like she had to the other customer...merely handed us a card. Once we left I realized that they had not deducted the deposit I paid via Venmo to secure the appointment. When I called her and asked her to just send me the deposit back via Venmo she said she didn't know how, but would try. Funny how they can receive $, but not refund it! Never received the refund. My daughter really wanted more detail in the tattoo so we reluctantly went back a week later and showed her the photo and she insisted that what we had was what was pictured...IT WAS NOT! My daughter began to touch her tattoo to show her where she wanted to have a few additional "veinings" in the flower and Shauna literally lost her mind and yelled at my daughter for touching her arm. She told my daughter, who is shy, to look at her (my daughter was too scared and reluctant) and when she wouldn't look at her she continued to scream at her until she looked at her. I explained that my daughter was shy and she could care less. Shauna wanted to tell her how dangerous it was for her to touch her arm, which is fine, but there is a way to talk to someone. They claim to give free touch-ups within the first six months, but clearly don't want to. She is insisting that we are crazy and don't want what we asked for. I had HAD IT!!! I finally told her that I wanted my deposit back that she still hadn't refunded and told her off for being rude. She argued with me and told me not to talk to her like that in front of her children (who were in the shop), yet she found it acceptable to yell and reprimand us any chance she could. It was the worst experience EVER! Not only did we NOT get what we had wanted, but it was one of the most uncomfortable situations EVER! What was suppose to be a memorable 18th birthday turned out to be a nightmare! I had to ask her three more times for my deposit back before we left and she finally got the money and said, "here's your measly deposit". If it was so measly then GIVE IT BACK!! We left out the back door and a few minutes later she stormed out with her kids and told us that she had to leave and close up the shop because we, "hurt her feelings"!! Can you imagine how we felt! Well, mixed review. I am really disappointed and pleased. My daughter and I called for an appointment to get each other's handwriting tattooed on one another. I am pleased with the final tattoos... so far. We were advised of a time to come in and that it would take a couple of minutes for each. We were there for over 1 1/2 hours when the actual services only should have taken a total of 15 minutes at the very most. Only one walk in customer ahead of us when we got there for our previously established appointment time. The customer that was there for a simple nose piercing ahead of us, ended up being there for about 40 minutes before Shawna even started on our tattoos, unapologetically. I did like the "groovy" vibe of Shawna....at first. But was more than annoyed with the constant personal calls. Her daughter and husband/boyfriend (?) called so many times while she was piercing and tattooing. At one point I thought the family might stop calling because she told her daughter that she was working and if she called again, she was going to block her number. I was shocked at how openly Shawna spoke to her without a care that customers were hearing the conversation. Then, the husband starting calling. During our tattoos, instead of letting the phone ring, or even utilizing a Bluetooth headpiece so that she could keep working, she stopped tattooing each and every time to answer and chat with him. They were literally casually conversating about her husbands plans for the day, where the dog collar/leash was, etc. It was beyond ridiculous and completely unprofessional! When customers are paying for a service, this is not the way to run a business! The customers waiting were all looking at each other with big eyes and disbelief. If they are knocking out customer services and there's a wait, that is one thing. But when you are having to wait and put off because constant personal interruptions and disregard for appointments, it's completely disrespectful to your paying customers DURING the actual service you are purchasing (not even in between services rendered). This establishment needs some Business 101 and Customer Service classes! You can have a groovy and eccentric vibe without blatant disregard of your paying customers time and exposure to uncomfortable conversations with your child and chats with your husband. Anyone that has ever been pierced or tattooed before, knows that it's not only about the outcome of the service, but the whole experience in the tattoo shop. If there was an option to give this place 0 stars, I would have chosen that option. Literally the worst place I've ever been to. First of all, I came in with 3 other people, bringing in a lot of business and money for this place and they were so rude. The lady (shawna) made us all feel so uncomfortable, swearing every other word and rudely commenting on everything we said politely. She never thought she was wrong, and she never listened to our feedback. Like bitch, the piercing will be on OUR bodies, why are you saying things like "I think it's fucking perfect", because it doesn't look good at all. Everyone I sent pictures to said how bad the cartilage piercing looked on my friend, they all knew how bad it was. She also told us not to use the coupon we brought because she was already giving us a "discount". On the phone a week earlier she said it was $40 for cartilage and $50 for doubles. She charged my friends $70 for the belly button, $70 for the doubles, and then $60 for the cartilage. She totally took advantage of our age and the fact that we weren't with a parent. At the end, my friend gave the lady $80 for her cartilage and then only gave her $15 back instead of $20. When we asked about it, she made up random ass excuses and tried to cover up for it and she wouldn't give the $5 she took from us. Even worse, when we went back in 10 mins later to complain about how far the cartilage piercing was away from the crease in my friends ear, she was blaming us, even though she didn't pierce where she originally had the dot. She told my friend she would have to repay for any changes she made, which is complete shit. The customer is always right, and she was so rude about everything!
