When she picked it up, he told her the engine had to be replaces, and she owed over 2000 more. She paid it, and could not even drive it 5 miles, when car died again. I had it towed, Joel refused to talk to me over her car, so she put a stop payment on his check since no work was even done to car. Now, 3 months of court appearances, and having to pay a different shop to fix the car. In Joel's words to me was that it is up to the men to take care of the vehicles. Women should not be "putting their noses" in men's work. (exact words). Bill to have the car fixed properly was 750. This place will take advantage of anyone they can, especially if they are elderly. On the last - Joel said a new motor was installed in this car. Nothing was ever touched in the motor compartment. Nothing even cleaned up. So all the money that he took advantage of my mother went into his pocked, and not into any repairs of her car.

I've only used their auto repair services before, so my review only reflects upon that. Cost: Very very fair. I never ever feel like I'm being charged extra for either parts or labor. I don't know what kind of parts are used to repair cars here, but I don't ever feel like I'm getting shoddy quality parts either. In fact, and I'm not saying they do this all the time, I've went to get my fluids checked before and they've done it for free AND topped off a couple of them free of charge. How many places do that? Experience: I have nothing negative to say about Dave's. Dave and his son (and the other employee's I've encountered) are absolutely fantastic. They've been really friendly and informative the entire time to by myself and my fiancee. I've learned quite a bit about my car and as mentioned above, never feel like I've gotten ripped off. I do all my oil changes here and repairs (I've had a couple exhaust repairs and a couple wheel repairs) and am always quoted with costs consistent with low prices on car forums online. Overall: If you're in Geneva, NY and need auto repair done, go to Dave's. Don't mess around with Monroe or other chains that always find more things they want you to pay to repair. Dave's will let you know how your car looks and tell you what they think about your car and if anything does look on the verge of failing they'll let you decide if you want to do it now, down the road, somewhere else, or at not all. Completely pressure-free and a great experience all around. Going to miss it when we move out of state.

I don't feel overcharged which is one issue with many garages. They get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. The only issue I've had is there are no appointments, so you just drop your car off the night before or in the morning and they call you when it is done. This could be inconvenient if you work outside of the area. Dave, the owner is a nice guy and seems to remember you after a few visits and remembers your car. The garage also does used car sales, and rents U-Hauls. I would definitely recommend this garage to anyone in the area that needs work done on their vehicle.

I needed my tire changed after a minor accident on the NYS Thruway. We called the State Police --…read morethe officers said that our tire was flat and called Hart Towing to come change the tire. When the tow truck got there, the driver said that he couldn't change the tire because the spare was soft -- I felt the spare and it was not soft. He said he would have to tow us. We were westbound on the thruway just east of the Geneva exit. The driver said that he couldn't take us to a repair shop that was just off the thruway in Geneva. He had me drive my car onto his tow truck and my 2 sisters and I rode in my car on the tow truck to a shop that was several miles in the other direction. The workers at the shop changed the tire and told us that the spare tire was not soft. In other words, the driver could have changed the tire and we would have been on our way. Instead, he lied to us and had us ride in our car on the tow truck (which I was told later is illegal) while he did a u-turn and took us several miles in the wrong direction.
