It's that time of year where the car needs just about everything - an inspection, and oil change, and a registration renewal. The registration was easy! But I had been dreading the inspection and the oil change. We had JUST found a mechanic we liked in the last area, and then we moved. And y'all know how hard it is to find a trustworthy mechanic! I have also had a check engine light popping on and off for months, something I was worried would cost a lot of money and time to fix, and possibly prevent us from passing our yearly inspection. A family member recommended King's Auto Service. She swore up and down that they were the best! So after calling a few other local places I called King's. I liked them immediately because they were the first place to tell me that they could not give a set quote for the work we needed - it may take less or more time, and it may not be a part that has to be replaced at all, it could be something less complicated like a clog. They seemed friendly and knowledgeable. So I made the appointment and waited about 2 weeks to bring the car in. When I dropped it off the check engine light had disappeared AGAIN. But they were able to get to the bottom of it anyway (it was just a quick wiring fix and did not need to be replaced after all), give us the oil change, perform the inspection, and replace a couple of bulbs in no time at all. And the cost was reasonable! I also want to add that they have the cheapest oil changes I have seen in quite a while, a whopping $20 less than every other place I have checked. So far we are definitely happy customers, and we plan to go back for any other work the car may need. (Hopefully not TOO soon though!) Highly recommend! read more
