I reserved an auto with Enterprise (Geneva location) on my Enterprise portal - and I received a confirmation number. I selected a specific auto and got a confirmation email with the confirmation number included. It was a done deal......or so I thought. When I arrived at the rental office I was told there are no vehicles. Simply stated - they didn't have any cars due to the Holiday weekend. There were at least 15 cars in their parking lot but nothing for me. I asked how Enterprise can confirm a car and then tell me there is no car? I was told its unfortunate; it happens often, but that is the situation. Their disposition made it obvious this is not a new issue. And - There was no effort by the office personnel to even try to find a vehicle in the region - I know there were cars available in Canandaigua and Rochester - but no effort was made. Needless to say, this was frustrating since I could have gone elsewhere and ultimately did. As a longtime Enterprise customer, I'm more than disappointed and unfortunately expressed my opinion in less than a professional manner. I guess the Sinfield episode on this topic is all too real and Hertz just got a new customer. I won't return to a firm whose deceptive business approach not only inconvenienced me greatly but also showed little concern for a long-term customer. I give Enterprise one star only because I have to provide a rating. Otherwise, it would be 0.

Last year I was subject to a freak accident on the highway (ended up with a blown tire on a Jeep Cherokee, imagine how hard that is!) and the people in the office were very kind. I rented one recently in California which had a strong smoke-overlaid-with-febreze smell, and they took a large $$ off my bill, for the inconvenience. I had been planning and stressing all week and Tammy immediately told me to relax and that she would take over. Tammy adjusted wineries times when needed, managed to squeeze an extra, brought us to special photo spots and entertained us all day long while still giving us space to enjoy our time together as a group .
