The billing department has both people out now so I can't even talk to anyone about the issue. Now, while waiting for one of them to get back in the office... The surgery went very well and aftercare was excellent. If you're looking for a awesome orthopedic surgeon, this is your guy. When the doctor came to get my husband from the waiting room, he called his name and immediately turned and walked away without greeting us. There was no introduction or effort to create rapport. During the visit, he avoided eye contact when we asked questions and did not offer explanations when we raised reasonable concerns. His blood pressure was taken on his forearm, which we found unusual. When we mentioned that his reading had been significantly higher at another appointment earlier that same morning, the response was simply, "Oh," with no clarification or discussion. We also requested a referral for a mental health provider who could offer both counseling and medication management. The doctor stated he prefers to refer patients to a psychologist for therapy and then manage medication himself. When we asked about the possibility of seeing one provider for both services, he responded with comments about psychiatrists "overmedicating" patients, including an example of patients "drooling on themselves." The tone felt dismissive and defensive rather than informative. He emphasized that he has been practicing for 30 years and that this is how he does things. The overall visit lasted about 15 minutes. At checkout, the front desk interaction was similarly curt and unwelcoming. This was my husband's first experience establishing care with a primary care physician as an adult, and unfortunately it did not feel collaborative or patient-centered. We value clear communication and mutual respect in healthcare, and based on this experience, we have decided to seek care elsewhere.

From initial consultation to surgery, everything went smoothly. Dr. Anyaugo gave us options and guided us through the surgery. Dr. Launder listens. Really really listens and takes time. She takes notes and tends to remember everything without looking back at them. She gets to know you and she continues to know you. You are not a number. An added bonus is that her nurse is precious. She has the same remarkable qualities and they both make you feel comfortable and cared for. I would recommend her as a primary physician above anyone in Port Richey. Trust me, I've been around different doctor's offices. The only downfall is there seems to be no patience when you are low on cash, which I've gathered to be a Morton Plant policy.
