By correcting my posture, and targeting weak muscle groups, the hand-tailored routine she created for me really did the trick! By continuing the exercises at home, I am stronger, more balanced, and most importantly, PAIN-FREE! Rest of the staff are pleasant, and seem to jibe well together, creating an all together pleasant atmosphere. Kim at the front desk is welcoming and efficient. Michael, the "assistant" for lack of a better word, is people-oriented and on task when it comes to cleaning and other job requirements (as was the young lady in that position today, whose name I did not catch). The music is pleasant. Place is small but never overcrowded. 2 nice bathrooms, and a water station so you can wet your whistle between reps. Can NOT recommend this place enough, especially my incredible therapist, my sensei, Ms. Stephanie.

From the time I started therapy, Justin guided me step-by-step through strengthening exercises and techniques that helped me to achieve full active motion in my right hip. He developed a personalized therapy plan for me which included, picture diagrams and demonstrated practical physical examples for me to safely follow at home and at the Athletico site. All my therapy was focused on eliminating pain and reducing the risk of any future injury. Not only did Justin provide me with excellent physical therapy, but the other Physical Therapy Clinicians, Carolina, Kristine, Yolanda, and other staff, Kim (Administrator), Danny (Assistant) were always friendly, encouraging, and inspired me to achieve my physical therapy goals. I showed up and they said not to worry they would get me into it because they had no idea why it was cancelled. I left an hour later because they still didn't get me into the appointment. Before I left they assured me they would refund the co-pay they charged me. They didn't do that of course. I went to the Chicago Rush for my appointment but had to drop off my imaging CD at Munster. They told me it would take 10-15 minutes and left 45 minutes later. Morons work the front desk and that says something about the office! If you can get past them it might be good but they could care less at the front desk! The worst part is I had to listen to their stupid nonsense stories while they sat around doing nothing for something that my 10 year old can do in 5 minutes.

I met Dr. Mubarak through my insurance company, and am I glad I did. I can honestly say that his treatment plan has changed my life! I see him three days a week. When I started treatment late September, I was using a Walker to get around. Since this awesome professional came into my life, I am walking with a cane now. Talk about results! He is an excellent listener who knows his stuff. The therapy regimen is tough but necessary. The beautiful woman who works with him is so nice, professional, and reassuring that I feel like I'm visiting a family member every time I go. I could go on and on. I developed an infection he completely ignored--no blood work, no PICC line, no sense of concern whatsoever. His ego clearly outweighs his concern for patient care. The way he talks down to hospital staff is just another reflection of his arrogance. I've been fighting this infection for nearly a year, and have to have the entire knee replacement removed due to his negligence. Thankfully the doctors at Rush Hospital in Chicago are now cleaning up his mess. Avoid him at all costs.

My mother was there to recover from a very serious brain injury and the Neurologist quit the first week. They did not have a backup and they couldn't find another to consult. Despite this they continued care claiming everything was fine. The CEO claimed he had A Neurologist assess my mother, but when I contacted their office they stated the Dr. had never seen my mother! After a few weeks of neglected care the staff (nurses, drs, therapist) all told us to GET OUR MOTHER OUT OF THERE. When the hospital staff are telling you to go, you know there are issues with this place. My mother needed braces to help with spasticity and after waiting 11 days the braces never arrived. We finally got my mother transferred and the new hospital was shocked at her state and the lack of care/attention in several areas. The new hospital was able to address issues she was having quickly and with ease. I could go on, but I think you get the point. DO NOT, send your loved ones here. My daughter was moved from ICMU in St. Margaret's to Kindred and it has been nothing but…read moreheadaches!!!!!! Visitation is limited to 1 person/1 visit per day and if that visitor leaves the floor they are not allowed to return that day. This makes it very hard on a working family to see to her needs as one must schedule a day off and stay for the full visitation hours just to make sure she is getting what she needs.....but that only assures she is fully cared for during visiting hours. And making phone calls for updates seems to agitate many at the nurses station, like they are being bothered and have better things to do other than providing updates on your loved ones whom you are not allowed to come see. There are a few good nurses and CNAs in attendance, but that is VERY few. My daughter is legally blind and since having been sedated and unconscious for the past 30 out of 35 days, she is unable to stand, walk or feed herself. She has been left to lie in her own feces and urine overnight when the nurses do not bother to respond to the call button. She went without meals for an entire day, with the meal tray having been just set beside the bed because no one even bothered to assess her to see that she cannot pick up a utensil or reach for the tray. When she asked to be re-positioned in the bed because she was un-comfortable, she was told that she did not need to be moved. I hate that my daughter was ever moved to Kindred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
