Plenty of lifeguards, water was clean, friendly people. Outside of the fence surrounding the pool, a lot of people hang out.

My kids love swimming and we just moved to the area so we were in search of a pool. We were told to…read morejoin wstc because of their wonderful swim team and instruction provided by the coaches. Out expectations were exceeded when we saw such improvement in our child's swimming ability. The swim team and coaches alone would give wstc a 5 star rating, HOWEVER. The dirty facilities and lack of renovations to this club is Discusting. The bathrooms and floors are something out of a horror movie, I can not even imagine the diseases collect on the floor and the pool deck. The playground is full of lead paint and the entire club looks as if no one has cleaned since the 80s. I would like for my kids to continue swimming for this fantastic team but the owners lack of care for this swim club makes the price of membership not worth it.

Perfect. Me and my boyfriend went on a Sunday without any issues. We paid the money and spent the day by the pool. The following Wednesday me and my friend decided to go. Had all of our stuff with us and were excited to go. We get there and see a young girl too busy playing on her cell Phone to acknowledge us. Finally we asked for the day pass and she rudely says that they don't do that here. I told her I had called and also came here this past weekend without any issues. She very rudely said we had to be a member or a guest of a member. After she said this she went back to texting as if we were bothering her so terribly. she could have given us information about becoming members or talked with her manager about the situation. I will not be going back here or recommending this place to anyone.

We've been members of this club for over three years, and overall, we've had a positive experience…read morewith the facility itself. However, our experience with the Kids Club has been extremely disappointing. About a year and a half ago, my son had an incident where a staff member teased him. He reacted in a playful but inappropriate way, and as a result, he was suspended for a week. At the time, he was also dealing with a serious medical condition that was affecting him neurologically, which we later came to understand may have influenced his behavior. Out of caution, he did not return to Kids Club after that incident. Now that he is doing much better, and I have returned to full-time work, I recently attempted to bring him back--only to be told that he is permanently banned. The reason given was a Facebook comment I had made at the time describing our experience. I made multiple attempts to have a calm, reasonable conversation with staff to revisit the situation, especially given the time that has passed and my son's improved health. Unfortunately, there was no willingness to reconsider. This puts us in a very difficult position. As a working parent, I rely on the Kids Club in order to use the gym. Without access to childcare, we are now faced with canceling a membership we've maintained for years--not because we want to, but because we no longer have a way to utilize the facility. What's most concerning is the lack of empathy and accountability in how this situation has been handled. I sincerely hope the club takes a closer look at how interactions with children are managed, and how situations like this are resolved, so that other families don't have a similar experience.

They updated the dumbells and tvs and added a turf area in the past year. The pulley towers are ancient and almost always have at least 1 station broken, broken clips/pins, 7.5# weights that don't work well, bars with sharp burrs, etc... Outdated. Missing many machines that modern gyms have. For abour $70/month one would expect better. Seems more geared towards families with kids and elderly. Always adding on new fees and trying to sell extras.

Actual name to use when looking up hours: Veterans Memorial Pool…read more For the convenient location in Cambridge, I was surprised that the pool wasn't at all crowded when visiting on Sunday afternoons this summer! There aren't very shallow areas for the toddlers like there are at some of the other DCR pools, such as Connors Memorial Pool in Waltham, which probably helps to keep the crowds down. But the pool is very spacious and has enough space both for lap swimmers and kids playing. The spray deck just outside is great for the younger kids, too.

It's a year later and they've done extensive updates to the pool location. 1. There's now an ADA regulation ramp with rails going into the pool for those in wheelchairs or who have trouble walking. 2. They added easier steps and hand rails for children and families to enter at the opposite end (long stairs that slope gently instead of ladder style.) 3. They have added permanent shade awnings around the pool, along with wooden benches underneath them (definitely still try to come early because those get snapped up quickly.) 4. The changing rooms are the same, but entering the locker rooms, there is now almost a rubberized "curtain" of small strips to walk through that creates privacy. Previously anyone walking by in the main corridor could see directly in. 5. The splash pad/fountain area has awnings and benches around it, and is ADA accessible. As of summer of 2023, the pool is open 7 days a week from 11:15AM-6:00PM. The changes have greatly improved the property, and it's a place where you can come and stay all day instead of roasting on hot concrete. They also have water fountains and outdoor showers along the pool deck for getting a quick drink and rinsing off.

Lifeguards are present and they test the pool quality every hour or so. The kiddie area is blocked off so perfect for families who want to dunk their kids and not to be disturbed by other swimmers. The female lifeguards were rude in general to the public. They kept staring at us and pointing at us, which made us extremely uncomfortable. The pool checks were also poorly communicated, and nobody clearly explained what the actual purpose of them was. The head lifeguard was just as rude and unprofessional. What made the experience even worse was that after we left because we were uncomfortable, we were literally stopped and pulled aside by the staff and accused of lying about having a child with us just to get into the pool. We did NOT lie. We have been at the pool. We had our belongings inside and everything was already set up. Two of us left because a lifeguard told a mother in the water near us that she could not be in the pool with the floaties she had. Since it was extremely hot out and we wanted her child to actually be able to enjoy the pool, we went all the way back home to grab a life jacket we had so mind you the third person with us was still there at the pool with all our stuff waiting for us to return with said life jacket for the baby. We were rushing back specifically so she could get back in and enjoy the pool. So to then be stopped, accused of lying and treated like we were doing something wrong was completely ridiculous. We only needed about an hour at the pool, and somehow that short visit turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. The staff's attitude, the staring, pointing, lack of communication and then accusing us of lying was enough to make it very clear that we will not be returning. It is honestly a shame because this place has so much potential and could be something really great for the community if it were run by people who actually knew how to treat families with basic respect and kindness. One visit was more than enough.

It can fill up pretty quickly especially weekends. I went 2016 when it was taking quite a while to revamp the pool and lockers then I tried again 2022. Locker rooms are much nicer than when I last went. The fall had a longer hours so perhaps more opportunities too. Pros and cons with the reservation system( pro nice knowing it's reserved) but at times find times that worked for me would be hard. Other things to check out: tennis courts and looks like they had a pickleball league. They used to have childcare options - hopefully they'll bring that back one day. All the times I went to the gym the weights/cardio never felt overcrowded. Lots of options here but I think for working out I do better with attending a class vs. going to a gym.
