Nick was awesome and very helpful. We use public storage all the time for our clients that suffer from storm damages or emergency services to store their belongings and we been super busy due to the recent tornado incidents and my employee left some boxes that were suppose to be thrown away and Nick went ahead and took care of it for us while we were helping a client in the field from the tornado damages. It saved us a lot of time from stopping what we were doing to go just take care of a few boxes. he went above and beyond for us that little gesture goes a long way. So frustrating that the few times I've tried to go in the office it has been closed during office hours and nobody answers the phone. The place has rats and when you go in to file a claim with the insurance they want pictures and receipts of your items and only wanna pay out $200. Terrible! Avoid this place at all cost. Rats chewed up, pooped, and peed all over my belongings. $1000's wasted because this place does not take accountability!! read more

Avoid this storage facility. I purchased an indoor unit several months ago. About a month after moving all of my things in, the light censor by my unit went out and the lights would turn off every 10 minutes, so I would have to walk all the way down a hard hallway to get the lights on. One day I was pulling a box down and had the lights shut off on me, when I was bringing my arms down I cut myself on a big screw sticking out of the wall and have a huge scar on my arm from it. I brought the issue to the attention of the general manager and the property manager and no one did anything to fix it. Finally after several months of waiting I pulled everything out of my unit and went elsewhere. Avoid this particular Public Storage, they're TERRIBLE. read more

Have to pay 11.00 a month for insurance then rats eat piss and poop on your furniture and file a claim and they don't pay

I recently had a terrible experience with Public Storage and I want to share it with everyone. As a single mom, I had to move in with family abruptly and I needed a safe place to store my belongings. I thought Public Storage would be a good option, but it turned out to be a nightmare. While my belongings remained safe, my bank account did not. I feel like I was taken advantage of by this company. I was a loyal customer for two years, but I want to warn others to stay away from this business. If you are on auto-pay, get off immediately! They don't notify you of rent increases and can increase the rate any time they feel like it. I rented a 10x15 unit for $140, which increased to $190 in the first year and $270 in the second year. I was signed up for auto-pay and found out too late that they raised my rate to $270 per month. As a busy single mother and business owner, I did not consider this. I have lost over $1500-$2000 because of their month-to-month lease and I feel extremely taken advantage of. I urge you to do your research and don't rent here or get off auto-pay immediately with Public Storage. Being a loyal paying customer cost me dearly and I don't want anyone else to go through the same experience. I now have to move all my belongings hire movers to move to another unit down the road. SAME SIZE UNIT 10X15 12 MONTH LEASE $110. YOU STOLE FROM MY FAMILY BECAUSE YOU HAD MY CREDIT CARD ON FILE AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

Advised cost less than $37.00 as they could not honor the $1.00 FIRST month....THEN PATRICK who told us to go 183 west to Forest Ridge and it was on the access road between FOREST RIDGE and CENTRAL. WRONG!!! WE arrive he is totally unprepared and advises we need to pay admin fee $24.00 and the lock WHICH we were not made aware of was $21.50. Unit was 37.00.... Total of this was not disclosed and I reviewed another storage that was up front and also.....$25.00 less. Patrick kept apologizing cause they just changed the lease. Our movers were delayed due to his inability to handle his job.......avoid this place. Paid for the lock and he didn't give it to us. .. read more

We needed storage ASAP from an out of town move, they were ready immediately! Online sign up was easy, insurance was reasonably priced and the space was clean and ready immediately. We drove right there and unloaded. I only wish they gave renters dumpster access for trash. I'd rent again in the future. read more

I would never use this public storage again. Was only about 5 days late they cut lock off and was about to sell my stuff. Had a bad feeling when we rented because price went from 21.00 to 56.00. I won't say that I won't ever use public storage but I won't use this one ever again! read more

Very disappointed with Public Storage! I have a unit that cost a certain amount when I moved my things into it. Price increased 4 months later without any notification. I called, very rude customer service! I will be moving my things out ASAP! read more

Do NOT rent a unit here! My mother & I rented 2 mos. ago. They had a special of 1 mo. free and both my mother and I each wanted a unit. They said because I was listed as an authorized user they could not grant a month free for me. When we said well then take me off as an authorized user on hers so we could get the deal they said they could not bypass the computer to do it? So we got the one locker, come to find out they MAKE you use THEIR crappy lock, for a FEE of course!! We are ready to get out of our locker already and I just called to ask about 2 things: 1) If I could pay over the phone & 2) What the cost would be prorated since I will be moving on the 15th. I was told NO on paying over the phone & NO to ANY proration, so although I'll be out the 15th, I'm stuck paying ALL of December!?? What BS!! Since we needed 2 lockers, we went to: Extra Space storage @ 3813 Airport Freeway. They Prorated my final month, could use my own lock, offered a truck to use at move in for the price of gas ($1.50!) and Tessa was just awesome! Go here instead of this horrible place!! read more

The people at my storage are great. Very helpful and friendly. However... Public Storage is a racket. After 6 months of use they raised my rate from 157 to 187. 30 more a month! All they could say is there was additional operational cost that they pass along to their customers. They also only give you 5 days from the due date to pay. If you don't they lock you out and charge you more. 2 weeks later they'll sell your stuff if you still haven't paid. NEVER use them unless you absolutely have to. read more
