She hung up the phone and refused to stay 2 minutes past 5:30 because "I'm not allowed to stay late to help" I do not recommend this place. Online it stated I could pay for my unit lease and go straight to the unit. Then once I paid over $70 I was told I had to wait til tomorrow morning. She caught herself in 3 lies once I asked for a confirmation email of the refund and said "it send" then I waited 3 minutes on the phone for it and still did not receive it. Then she said she doesn't know where it is and then her last response was "ma'am I dont know what to tell you other than to call 1800 storage. I went to respond and she huffed puffed and hung up the phone!! Rude & terrible "customer service " Makes sense why she works here and cleans storage units for a living.

Further, the digital access points offer a button to immediately obtain assistance from the employee at the front desk of the facility. You're really never alone except after normal business hours. The facility offers various sized storage areas for which the pricing will vary. We never experienced any immediate issues or problems. The employee at the front desk was always helpful, friendly and offered accessories for purchase such as locks for the security gate of your storage area. You can be assured that the multiple digital access points increases the confidence level against non-authorized entry. When entering our storage areas, we frequently encountered other customers who cheerfully assisted us in helping to to move items and load our vehicle. My only recommendation (that would not change my rating) to the facility owner/management is to properly replace or properly repair the hand trucks. Of the three made available within the storage area where my rented storage room was located, only one properly functioned. The other two were broken in that the handles or bars to pull the hand trucks kelp "popping out" of the carts. This was very annoying when pulling/pushing them without a load but especially aggravating when pulling/pushing a loaded hand truck and losing control of the hand trucks. One hand truck clearly showed a short-cut attempt to temporarily fix it by using duct tape to secure it. This attempt to short term fix it reflects an apparent cost-saving attempt my the owner/management rather than to pursue the proper method and simply replace it. Lastly, if a potential customer is considering a long term lease, please occasionally check your billing statements as rental price increases will occur to your account - acceptable and understandable.

Coram U-Haul is horrible. They are a rip off. Charge you after you close your account. I go there…read morefor convenience but after 3 issues I will start using hertz. The guy Eric is so rude & obnoxious. I emptied my storage unit after hours & called the next morning to see if I needed to go there or if I could close it over the phone. I was told I didn't need to come down she would close the account. I asked for a email to confirm it was closed. I waited until the next day & called back. Confirming they closed the storage unit account & requesting the email. Next day. No email confirmation so I called the 800 # only to be told the account was not closed & I would have been billed the next day for another month. Do not go to Coram U-Haul the mistakes are frustrating enough but the nasty attitude is appalling.

I call U-Haul, tell them I need a van and afterwards I want to leave the van in Boston. Not a problem sir. Not a problem is what I want to hear! While we're filling out paperwork I see various packing supplies. While looking at the cardboard boxes, tapes and packing cushions, I noticed a mattress bag? I had plans to shove his mattress on top of his stuff? My wife said we need to have one so I spent a few bucks and put the mattress in a protective bag. We drove the U-Haul on the ferry and was in Boston licky split! We unpacked the truck, mission complete. The truck itself was new and everything worked. I am not a truck driver but after driving this van I can see why America turns to U-Haul. From picking up the van to dropping it off at another U-Haul, I highly recommend U-Haul of Coram.

Place smells like fuel or car oil so your stuff will smell…read more There is a constant LOUD beeping sound that is excruciatingly annoying. It is not climate controlled, the unit is freezing cold during the winter so if you have plastic items or fragile items they will crack. There app is awful and often times not responsive to open the gate to get into the building. The gate has been broken numerous times and I couldn't get in after office hours which is 5pm or the gate is broken and left open for days so anyone can enter the premises and access outside storage units. The have a revolving door of employees who aren't helpful and rude. This place is over priced, smells horrible and the units are all connected so anyone can steal your stuff at the top of your unit it's open which Makes no sense at all, anyone can climb up and slip into your unit to steal your belongings. Place is awful expensive. There are no garbage pales and the dumpsters are locked so you can't use them. And another note the employees keep the door to the bathroom locked so you can't access the bathroom.

But even if you do that, they still charge you and tell you it didn't go through and there is nothing they can do about it because its a 3rd party insurance BUT "Orange Door Insurance" is owned and operated by Public Storage. So... just be aware! Shady practices and zero customer service. We will be renting elsewhere next semester. Also the office is locked and empty during business hours so even if you do go in, you can't and they don't answer the phone, so you have to leave a message and they call you back, every time. the chat function is an easy out for them, they just say that they think they lost you and disconnect.

For the first few years, my husband would leave his pickup truck in the lot because it didn't fit in the unit. We never had an issue. We had no idea that corporate policy does not allow cars parked that don't pay rent (corporate greed at its finest). Today when my husband tried to get his car and leave his pickup, Abe, instead of explaining corporate policy, cursed at my husband about parking there and threw his clipboard at him. When my husband cursed back, Abe called the police, who forced my husband to leave, without his car! Abe proceeded to say that his storage lease was terminated and emailed him (I HAVE the emails) to say his gate code was deleted - inevitably holding his car hostage. THIS IS CAR THEFT!!! We will no longer do business with this company and will be contacting our lawyer regarding how this company treats its paying customers (we're paid until June 15th and they refused us a partial refund) what a disgrace!!
