I input an E-rental request for my father who is moving to Fl on Nov 29. Upon arriving to the unit yesterday he realized the space was 6 stories up and was not going to work for his needs. He tried to walk into the office while there at 2:30PM and the office was closed and no employees appeared to be on site. We tried calling multiple times and we're unable to get in contact with anyone. I tried calling again yesterday evening around 5pm and still was not able to get through. My father ended up finding another Public Storage location that was able to accommodate him then and there with a space that worked for him and actually had 4 employees in the office. I called today to cancel this reservation and the property manager absolutely refused and was extremely rude on the phone. I tried to explain that we tried to walk into the office in person AND called multiple times to cancel this storage space and her response was that she was probably out for lunch or had other more important things to do at that time. Regardless it was poorly handled, especially considering there were no other employees on site when down the street the other location had plenty employees available & we received the help we needed there. I'm trying to receive a refund for this storage unit space G202 that was never moved into, and the entire phone call was the property manager telling me "too bad" and claiming that "her other girl" put in notes that we said we didn't need any help moving in, which was a lie, as we were NEVER contacted by anyone at this POORLY managed location. The manager kept running her mouth about how I could go talk to whoever I wanted to because no one was going to listen to or he'll me and I can complain all I want because it doesn't affect her one bit. read more

VERY disappointed. Been a very loyal customer for at least 12 years. Had to file an insurance claim because of their neglect to the ac system which caused terrible mold, mildew & water damage to all of our stuff! It was furry and black and caused much aggravation! Needless to say we had to move to the other building. They changed things up, put a more secure door so it shuts and keeps moisture and humidity under control. Due to my move I had to unfortunately pay an increase because my original unit size wasn't available. They did discount $14.00 each month, but not without drama (some times I had to call up to ask about a late fee waiver because the "extra $14.00 wasn't taken off in a timely manner"....some of the girls even asked why not permanently take it off the rent so we don't have to "remove it each month"- but that would be too easy)! They had to just follow the rules which I totally understood! Now today for my check in: I was called to say a smaller unit would be available for move in. Keep in mind I have a 10 x 10 I'm paying $160.00 a month plus taxes for. I am now moving to a 10 X 5 clear across to the other side of the bldg!! This will be $130.00. I'm thinking... Yay!! $30 savings!! Well I see the long hike to move all of our stuff and one last plea I ask is there anything closer same size? The nice girl looks and says actually there is but it's a 10 x 10 for cheaper! Same row as my unit NOW!! I asked how much? She tells me $98.00. WHAT?!?! I'm so angry!! I just moved all of my crap from point A to point B to save $60.00 a month!!! I almost got suckered into a hole in the wall for $130.00! This place is a rip off and clearly good loyal long term customers definitely DONT get recognized only ripped off!!!! Can't wait to donate all of my stuff and never look back!!!!!! Very friendly staff. However, if you decide to rent here, be absolutely sure to visit the location BEFORE signing a contract. I rented a 5x13 on the first floor. I have furniture I need to store long term, and the online process was easy and made it seem like everything is all good. What I wasn't made aware of was that although the unit was on the first floor, it was on the second level of the first floor. There are no stairs and no walkway present to access. Instead, there is only a big rolling ladder to access the second level of units. Overall that not that much of a deal breaker, I figured it would just make the process a bit more tedious. However, at the top of this ladder, the space to step off the ladder and into the unit it narrow as all hell, to the point that I do not know how they expect anyone to fit furniture through this space. It's baffling honestly. Why would a storage place make it so difficult to STORE things? If the staff wasn't so friendly I would be leaving one star. read more

Should have left a review for Shirley a long time ago, because she was the primary reason I stayed so long. Even though she only worked on weekends, and recently transferred to a new location, she had the greatest personality and customer experience at this location. She deserves a Management role. Wait, it gets better! Last week I walk in and something felt different. It was unusual because I had never felt it in all my time at this location. I glanced up, down, and all around...to my surprise the entire building was CLEAN! I did not see one single critter. It even smelled like zest! I ran to the office to see who was running it and that's when I met Linda. Boy, oh boy! She is the real deal. Linda does not like bugs and she runs a tight shift. She is organized, professional, and most importantly keeps this place CLEAN! No one likes a filthy storage unit...and I only wish she was there sooner. The younger girl, who was there prior didn't give a care in the world... 5-Stars for Linda and Shirley, 4 stars for my overall experience at this place... read more

This place tells you is a one floor storage and they never tell you that they have these storage rooms one on top of anotherone, again one floor. Trying to use it to store furniture is such a hazard. Oh and cancelations are not directly back to payment method but by a check in the mail, and they keep $25 fee for moving in, even though in my case I didn't even move anything in. read more

I came in to get quotes on a unit. I'm selling my condo so I wanted to shop around different locations since I don't know where I'm going to move next and need a place to store my stuff. I came into this location and a very nice and friendly woman by the name of Shannon greeted me. She showed me around and gave me different options on what would work for me. She let me know they have all the supplies I would need to move right there (like boxes, mattress covers, furniture wrap, etc) so I wouldn't have to worry about going all over town to buy them. She was patient and willing to help, even knowing I wasn't going to get a unit yet. At other locations as soon as I told them I wasn't getting a unit yet they immediately didn't want to help me anymore and directed me to their website for information. This young lady went above and beyond which is why I felt I needed to write a review. If you come to this location, ask for Shannon. Her customer service is a rare one to find these days. read more

Another s***y company. I had a middle unit here, somehow when it rained water came through the roof and got into my unit. How does that even happen? I sit here thinking about how bad the stuff in the unit above mine must look since the water had to leak through that one to get to mine. I wrote a letter to the company letting them know what happened and of course....they never wrote back. Avoid this place, how does a building made of cement have a leaking roof? read more

The facility is clean, however I am extremely disappointed with customer service. Although I was a loyal customer for over 6 months, my rent was raised significantly! Public Storage will attract new customers by offering low rates (and even $1 for the first month), however they have the right to raise your monthly fee at any time! When I called out of concern, I was put on hold and had to leave multiple voicemails prior to someone calling me back. Finally, I was told that there is nothing I can do about it. I mentioned that there were cheaper prices listed online for my same unit, and they told me I could cancel my current unit (however they wouldn't prorate the month) and then move all of my stuff into the other unit for the cheaper rent... which is RIDICULOUS! They should have just honored the same price. There are plenty of other storage places to use. Do NOT use Public Storage! read more
