I had the same facility for at least five years. During this time they raised the price from 99.00 to 227.00. In addition, they cut my lock off and replaced the door and lock. The first lock was a padlock. The lock they put in was for that door and was inset in the door. Not my padlock. I notified them I was moved out on June 16, 2021. I spoke to the main office since no one answered at the rental site. I was told I did not need to turn the keys in. Then I looked at the website and it didn't mention keys. I called on July 2 or 3 to see where my refund was and was told they needed the keys. I had them there in 15 minutes. I also received a bill for July and was told by Stephanie that she would speak to her district manager. Well obviously her district manager doesn't deal with customers and has refused to call me back. Now they have turned the bill over to collection. I pay my bills! For five years they were on direct pay. So why would I all of a sudden not pay if I owed? Big rip off company with absolutely no customer service. I will fight this to the end. I had to give them one star just to post the review but seriously they should have to give stars back! Cheats! read more

I originally reserved a unit at another storage place and it was dirty, the ceiling was falling and they didn't have the original unit size I requested. I called Public Storage on 7353 Dixie Highway in Fairfield and Stephanie was very helpful and friendly! She got me in right away and I was able to get the storage unit I needed! She was thorough and provided all of the info I needed. She didn't try to rush the process and answered all of my questions. She was great! read more

I became a customer of Public Storage in 2011 under a promotional rate. I shall start by saying the local management has been very nice and easy to work with. However I have a serious concern with corporate and their pricing practices. After the promotional rates expired the price was raised to the regular rate as expected. However after a few months I found that Public Storage was cutting their rates way below the promotional rates because they were losing customers and was in the process of trying to get more. I don't have a problem with that either. My problem is when I asked for a lower rate to keep me as a happy customer, not only was I turned down, my rate was raised on the anniversary. Once again, to keep my cost down, I checked with my homeowners insurance to see if my stored items were covered on my policy and the answer was yes. I dropped the insurance I was purchasing through Public Storage to lower my cost. in 2012. Now here we are in 2013, on the anniversary of me becoming a customer and once again you have raised my rates while offering Hugh promotions to draw new customers. I don't get me wrong, I do understand that promotions are a part of good business practices. However keeping your loyal customers happy is also very much a part as well. I feel very disrespected as a loyal customer and I am looking for other places to store my items. read more

The staff member I dealt with was helpful in answering all of my questions about the space and the pricing. All the stipulations of the contract seemed clear. They also came across as happy to be working, which made the paperwork signing less of a drag and more enjoyable. The space itself was clean and as big as promised (10' x 10'), though the door was smaller than expected (a room sized door instead of a garage style). read more
