They constantly increase the fees and the facility is rampant with rodents. I accessed my unit about 1 year ago and noticed rodenticide cartridges placed on the floor inside. When I addressed this with staff I was told that it was a preventative measure. I want to premise with the fact that all of my items were placed by a professional moving company and There are no beverage or food items inside of my unit. I went in December to gather holiday items and still noticed the rodenticide on the floor. I asked the staff about this, and they reiterated that it was for prevention, and that there was no rodent issue, however, at one time several years ago while under different management, there was. I noticed the contents of the container were scattered about at this time. When I returned in January 2024, there were two decaying mice on the floor and mouse droppings on my rug and on the floor. I was given a pamphlet and told that I could file a claim through their insurance company and that I I would be responsible for moving all of my items out of that unit into another unit inside of the same building. There was no offer made to assist with moving my items and I have since been charged another monthly fee of almost $350. I have to go through everything to examine for any further damage and unfortunately will have to discard many expensive items that I entrusted with their care. 39% INCREASE AFTER 4 MONTHS! I agreed to pay $103 per month for furniture storage. After 4 months they raised it $40 month. That is a 39% increase! This is outrageous. I spoke with the company and they could only offer a 30% increase. Next, I filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney General and Consumer Affairs. No restriction on them raising it 2000%? They advertise that these are "affordable" units. read more

public storage charges the highest late fee on record of any company I have ever don business with. $40!! all other firms of all kinds charge $5-10. it is outrageous. they also increase their rates often. you cannot rent a storage unit thinking you will have the same rent for at least a year! they will keep increasing! sometimes it will be a big increase too! I have had to put I. numerous requests to reevaluate and reconsider heir increases. I am shocked I'm still renting with them. read more

YOUR VALUABLES ARE NOT SAFE HERE! I used to love this location. But over the past year, they changed staff and it began to go downhill. Apparently, someone broke into one of their customer's units and stole their items. In the past year, they became very strict about everyone leaving before 9 pm to the point where someone will call you if you overstay by even one second. I fully understand why they enforce these rules, but it's easy to notice why. The facility only has cameras on the elevators and none in the hallways where their customers' units are located. Because of this, I do not trust the security here and feel that Public Storage does not do enough to protect the belongings of their customers. read more

Can't believe this storage still open. It's infected by mouses. After renting for 2 years, just had furniture and clothes, in May of 2023 went to check my stuff to found mouses dropping all over, floor saturated with mouses urine, mouses nesting inside boxes of clothes, made holes in my beautiful leather sofas and nested in it, rip futon mattress, pulled out insert, I'm sick about, lost over $5000,00 merchandise, was told they will reach out to me to only found the managers are just lying to you, never responded to phone calls and emails, so unfair and sad, how can they look at themselves in mirror after seeing all my pictures and damage and not doing nothing. read more

I have a storage space there have been there since 2/2021, my rate was $271 it jumped to $312, that is a difference of 42 dollars without notice. I want to move my things immediately!!! You can never get a live person on phone I've been on. Hold today for 2.0 hours. I need to know why my bill went up by $42 . I'm pissed!!! read more

This facility is horrible because of the lack of staff. Nobody is ever in the office nobody picks up the phone or return's phone calls. I stayed a month and took off immediately. If I could give 0 stars I would. They lead you believe that you "lock in" to a good deal. Then they raise you right away. When you call and complain / question it, they tell you they can and will continue to raise the rate multiple times a year. Customer service is USELESS, rude and have no care for the customers. Cannot wait to empty out my unit and never give them another dime of my money. Do not give them any of your money. Plenty of other storage units with better prices. read more

Do not rent from here. I helped my girlfriend move a ton of her stuff in 3 weeks ago and her unit was robbed last weekend. We had double checked that we had locked the lock correctly when we had left but the robber put the lock back wrong so she was not able to file a claim against the insurance she bought from Public Storage. They said there was no evidence of lock tampering. They only have 2 cameras in the front, so no one was caught on tape stealing all your things. Including 2 6 foot folding tables. They were definitely not in a hurry when they robbed the place. Every box was opened and checked for goods. read more

Melissa is very kind, courteous, and professional. She was a tremendous help from the first phone call immediately after my online inquiry to the very end in checking out. She made sure that all my needs were met as well as answering my many questions (I ask a lot of them!). The facility was also neat, clean, and well laid out. This place is rediculous ! For starters they increase your storage rates every 4 months by almost $50. Oh and they charge $20 for a uhaul lock that costs $10 elsewhere that they conveniently have waiting in your storage unit making you beleive their doing a courtesy- which i fell for the first time.. The hallway doors are too small to get huge bulky items through. The carts are only available during their business hours which has to be released by staff who leaves by 6pm. So if your planning to move after work, yuh betta plan for a weekend move if your gonna need a cart ! There are huge mouse traps everywhere. Its freezing in the winter and extremely hot in the summer. The elevator situation is another joke. You have to put your gate access code in - in order to even access the elevator. And you betta be quick or the door closes on the elevator and you'll have to do it over and over again until it stops working all together and by then others are also trying to use the elevator now causing an elevator traffic jam ! If all that works for you - then this is the place for you !!! I will say the one good thing is the front desk staff. They're nice and as helpful as they can be. And in their defense - none of the above mentioned is their fault. I do not recommend this place because of all the extra unnecessary foolishishness mentioned before. read more

Hoping they will at least give me a refund, so I can store whatever stuff I have left, else where. May need to file a report with the Attorney General's office if this issue is not resolved! Complete rip off. In 2 years they raised my rent over $100 and without notice. There are other storage companies that are more transparent with their pricing. Public Storage lures you in with their marketing schemes of free first month and initial low cost, only to raise the rent every couple of months. I can't wait to move out. read more

When I moved in for May of 2017, my rent was $111. As of November of 2017, six months later, my rent was increased $13 to $124. As of October of 2018, it was increased $15 to $139 a month. So, in less than a year and a half, my rent increased by $28 a month. Not liking this trend, I decided to move out at the end of November 2018. I must also mention that while my rent was increasing, units of the same exact specifications as mine, on the same floor, were being advertised for a lot less. For instance, when I was paying $139 a month, units just like mine, on the same floor, were being advertised for $127 a month, not as a special offer, but as the going rate. As far as the up keep of the facility, I wasn't expecting too much, and yet I honestly did not experience any major issues, aside from occasional incidents of broken glass in the parking area. The place was not spotlessly clean, but wasn't gross, either. No mice or bugs or anything like that. Regarding the employees here, all of them were friendly and helpful....except for one, who was a major asshole. One day, I visited the facility to move some stuff in. I went up to the front office to check out a cart, and there was a line at the door. This was during open hours for the office. I asked what was going on and was told that for some reason, the door was locked and no one was inside. After waiting a couple of minutes, I decided to go back and start moving my stuff completely by hand. As I was carrying my stuff in, I encountered this male employee, giving a tour of the facility to a pair of prospective tenants. I interrupted his sales pitch to say, "Excuse me, but could you go up to the front and unlock the door? There's a line of people and I want to borrow a cart." His response, I am not kidding, was, "Well, they can wait." I said, "Excuse me? They can wait?" He said, "Yeah, they can wait." I said, "No, they cannot wait, They've been waiting for a while already, while you're back here, giving a tour to people who are not even paying rent, while the people who are paying rent are left hanging by you." He just shrugged, and went back to his sales pitch. I responded with, "No, what you should do is go up to the fucking office, and take care of your existing customers first, then come back and continue the tour!" He just repeated the same, "They can wait..." I was done. I moved my stuff in, by hand, and eventually left. I tried to then complain to corporate, but no one responded to my complaint. I mentioned it to the other employees on another date, but while they acted concerned, they did nothing to actually investigate. I was about to just move out right then and there, but I decided to hold off until I found something better. Eventually, it was the rent increases that made me decide to leave, especially when new renters were being offered units for a much lower rent. Would I recommend this place? If you really are desperate, and you want a no frills storage place, and you can deal with the rent increases and the possibility of one horrible employee, then go for it. Otherwise, find a place that treats their customers like they actually care about them, and not just about selling units or making a profit. It's June of 2019 now, so I expect my rent by now would probably be $155 or so, maybe even $170, whereas two years ago, I started out with $111 a month. read more

Staff was very nice when I went to sign my paperwork. Took me on a tour of the building, etc. Place is very clean and seems that security is pretty good. I was informed when I was signing my paperwork that they had carts on site for us to use when moving our stuff in, but we need to sign out a key to be able to obtain the car...no big deal. The day I went to move all of my stuff in, with a moving truck full of stuff, I went to the desk to ask for a key - no carts available. So I go back to my moving truck to begin emptying it and carry the items by hand to the third floor storage unit. While I am unpacking the truck - I notice a group of people standing outside of a storage unit with a cart, with a box a pizza sitting on top of it. I ask if I can borrow it to empty the truck, they tell me no - they have the right to do that they signed it out...BUT you are telling people who need the carts they can't have on while someone is using it to hold their lunch for them. So I continue to unload my stuff and notice two carts locked up. I go back inside and ask for a key and they tell me they have none - I asked about the two locked up and was told "we do not have any carts"....OK....? So, I go back to unloading and carrying my stuff to my unit by hand...this caused me to break a 36 year old handmade (by my grandfather) baby cradle that has been in our family for 36 years old because someone was using their cart for a lunch table and the other two carts really didnt exist. Very disappointed in this situation, but other than the cart issue the place is clean and my stuff seems to be safe. read more

The only reason why I am a customer and have recommended this facility is because of the excellent customer service I get there with Tara. Each visit I am met with a smiling face by someone who knows what I need and helps me get it. Whether its the amount of boxes I need or the right sizes, I have relied on her to help make our move much easier. DON'T store your property here! There are mouse droppings in the building. The building has been closed during normal business hours for various reasons numerous times since I've been using them. It's supposed to be climate controlled but MANY times I visit my unit on the 3rd floor and it is extremely hot in that section of the building. Customer service are 2 words that have never been heard of at this facility!!! read more

DO NOT rent a unit here. They lure you in with a promotional rate and then just 6 months later they jacked up my rate by over 20%. I signed up with a $90/month rate and now they want $109/month. This company basically baiting and switching its customers knowing that the moving process is so stressful that people will be unwilling to move everything out of a storage unit. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Mice everywhere and they run from unit to unit and eat through boxes. Not to mention the drug dealing going on in the parking lot! The lights shut off constantly, they leave the gates wide open and now they have raised the rent on the unit AGAIN! They got us in here for $67, raised it the next year to $87 and just got a notice they are raising to $103! I'm beyond disgusted. Customer service is rude. We're leaving. read more

During my last visit to the storage, I noticed my place full of mouse droppings. The mouse droppings were deposited on all my items, stored in my box 10x10. At my own expense I had to get out all my items and clean up the place, of course, then slotted the tricks to keep out the rats. DISGUSTING. The company is expected to have more care of the place. If you need a cart to move your stuff to a unit DO NOT choose this Public Storage. I have been here a total of five (5) times during normal operating business hours and on two (2) of the visits the office was closed temporarily so I could NOT get a key to the locked carts in the foyer by the elevator. Today was my fifth (5) visit with a full load and when I went to the office to get a key for one of the two (2) locked carts in the foyer I was informed only two (2) carts were available today and they were being used. The other two carts that I saw locked in the foyer were unavailable as customers had brought the keys home and they did not have backup copies for me use. This place only has four (4) carts available to begin with and I cannot believe they don't have backup copies of the keys in the event they are not returned. I ended up carrying in my stuff for a total of six (6) trips that could have easily been done in two (2) with a cart. I will say this place is clean and the staff friendly but I should have gone across the street to Life Storage. read more

Public Storage policy is horrible. To be honest I don't know if it is in accordance with Rental law, if you missed one payment I mean ONE, they access lien fee of $66.50 and evict you. Worst experience ever. However, it is truly climate controlled and affordable. They change staff every other week, perhaps poor pay and management. read more

I was only supposed to stay here for two months, but as we all know a short term turns into long term. I kept my unit for over a year. Getting it was easy and turning in the keys only took about 3 minutes. Dawn and Octavia were more than accommodating. They printed me out a receipt and said you are good to go within two or three minutes. I did not give any notice since my move out was last minute and they were able to end my lease right away. The only question that they asked was: "were you happy with our property?". I periodically checked on my unit and halls were always kept clean. I would recommend this place to others as it was a pleasant experience for me. read more

Went yesterday to rent a unit and was helped by Dawn. She was very friendly and helpful and helped me get some boxes and mattress covers I will need for my move also. She walked me through the buildings to show me the unit and was very nice through the whole process. While I was there, Carissa was also working and had a very nasty customer who was yelling at her and she handled herself very professionally while dealing with the guy. Both of them were very nice to me and helpful. I was happy with my experience. I just read the reviews on here and if I read them before I made my reservation I probably would not have rented here. Im hoping my positive review will change that mentality. I also hope that the mouse problems that I am seeing in others posts have been fixed!! I didn't see any mice but also didn't see any traps either so hopefully they have fixed the rodent issue... read more
