I used them for moving. First of all the call with them beforehand was very nice, we got specific answers about how to pack things, what we would need for different things, what was easy for them to ship what was hard for them to ship. Second, We also got an accurate quote from them even though we ended up needing a bit more packing help from them and a bit more space. Third, when they came to get our stuff they were fast, efficent and professional. Finally, almost nothing got damaged in the move. Highly reccomended read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Had to get this coming due to a last minute change and boy that was a mistake. They will price you one thing and the movers will take an extra 2.5 hours just to get to your location and then take their time to assemble anything they need to reassemble and work very slowly. I was charged for 5 hours of their travel time when it only takes 3 hours to get to the new location (maybe 4 at most because of the truck having to take a different route). This company actually worked for the person buying my home too and they had an awful experience as well. The movers were all grumpy especially the lead person who did not like to be told what to do.... quite frankly, it's my belongings and if I want them to place it in a certain area "like a shelf in the garage" I should not be told no or questioned and then stuff just thrown on the floor. Absolutely a disgrace. The company did not want to hear about my complaints or concerns.... I should not have to waste my time on a phone call to explain my concerns the day of a stressful move. read more

If I could prevent anybody from using this company, even one person, then this review will be worth it. As detailed as this review will be, there was even more at play which couldn't be summarized, but here are the highlights. The job was to move most of the contents of a 3000 square foot home to a local storage facility with a small amount going to a temporary local rental. In the beginning of the relationship, the sales person was so helpful, visiting my home, inspecting the contents, estimating the packing and storage needs. He recommended a local storage facility and even told me how many square feet of storage would be needed. Out of an abundance of caution, I doubled that. The day before the move, packers came and did some of the last minute stuff. So far all was good. Then came moving day and that's when it all fell apart. The team worked hard but the supervisor was just impossible. If I spoke directly to any of the team (or even responded to direct questions) he advised me not to do so and informed me that he was the boss and I should only speak to him because he made all the decisions. My response was that if he wanted all communication to be through him then he should advise his team. Regardless, the movers were treated well... coffee and donuts for breakfast, pizza and soda for lunch and Wendy's and snacks for dinner over the course of what turned out to be a 14 hour day. More on that later. All day long I reminded the supervisor that certain items would need to be loaded into the storage facility first but his answer was consistently "I'm not worried about that". Finally the vans are packed, first load is dropped off at the temporary rental and we head to the storage facility but when we arrived we're shocked to learn that the vans would not fit in the loading zone (under the building) so they have to be parked next door and travel a busy street by foot with all of my belongings. No other option because at this point it's 7pm and the facility is closed with no representative onsite. I had relied on molloy's salesperson since he recommended the storage facility and this should have been investigated prior to his recommendation since he knew the size of his vans and I did not. All of the extra time spent during the move was due to this hardship. At this point none of the team, including the supervisor, were even remotely happy. Attitudes changed, moving slowed to a crawl. Around 8:30 pm I reminded the supervisor that we'd no longer have access to the facility after 10 pm and he told the team, in Spanish, thinking I wouldn't understand, that it was time to start moving faster. Due to careless packing (with zero regard to my pleas that certain items had to go in last to be accessible), the storage lockers filled up quickly. Back to the rental we go to pack the overflow and wow all of a sudden everyone was moving with lightning speed. All is finally said and done and the supervisor completes his paperwork and I offer him a generous stack of cash as a gratuity despite the fact that I was far less than satisfied, but the men did work hard all day and even though I paid for meals,etc. throughout the day. His response was "is this just for me? What about the rest of the guys" to which I replied "you're the boss that's for everyone please distribute it". Well how much is it he says and when I told him .... He just said ok and turned around and left. Not even a thank you. Regardless the very next business day I explained all of the circumstances to my moving coordinator and the salesperson and they couldn't have been more apologetic saying that they frequently receive complaints about this particular supervisor because he is not a "people person". My salesperson assured me he'd make it right and make me a satisfied customer. But... a week or two later all I received was an invoice for additional charges! To the tune of $1300!!! I immediately messaged him and ask him to call me and his answer was "I can't talk right now please message me your concerns", to which he replied that his hands were tied and there's nothing he can do. I received one long winded semi apology stating that if I could give molloy another chance he'd make it right and make sure that supervisor was not assigned to my storage move out. My reply was that I couldn't in good conscience do so and I still would like to hear from him with some curative regarding the overtime expenses which were his liability due to poor estimating and lack of properly researching the storage facility. To date, almost a month later, he still has not replied. Certainly not the way to satisfy an alienated customer. Please use a company that cares about their business and reputation because this one clearly does not. read more

One star is too many, This could have been the worst experience ever. We hired Molloy to move from CT to FL. They screwed everything up from Day 1 and the service has been horrible. The person they sent over to do the estimate was clueless. Probably couldn't spell CAT if you spotted him the CA. The packing crew didnt have the correct quantity or type of boxes which caused the packing process to be an extra day. The truck driver refused to drive his truck to the house forcing a shuttle service to be used. Molloy charged extra after we had a contracted price. The logistics along the way were terrible. The shuttle service took two extra days. They were supposed to have an outside service pack an 85" TV but never contracted them to do so. The contract was for my goods to be delivered on a Tuesday but then they couldn't get there until Thursday causing us to stay in a hotel for extra nights. Even after they told us Thursday the driver could not get there until Friday because he could only drive a certain amount of hours by law. One would think they should be able to do the simple math and figure this out ahead of time,. We had already made plans not to be here on Friday thinking our stuff would be here three days earlier so had to change plans. The unpackers wouldn't put together a crib that they took originally took apart saying an outside service had to do it but the outside service was again not contracted. Didn't hear from them for 10 days. Molloy has barely returned calls along the way and now just referring me to Mayflower. This is been a total disaster. Please DO NOT USE MOLLOY. read more

The short version of this story is that after a month of trying to have our belongings delivered, we still do not have them. We are paying rent and utilities on a home we cannot live in. Read on for more information. From the beginning, our move was bungled every step of the way. While I assure you that everyone I interacted with was pleasant, nothing went right. No one communicated with me. It's been 1 month since my initial contact to have my belongings delivered to my new home, and I am still waiting. I am beyond disappointed, as Molloy Bros came highly recommended. On our load day, the movers were over 2 hours late. No one contacted us, so I had to call to find out what was happening. We were told the movers were 45 minutes away. Forty-five minutes later, the movers called to say they were an hour away. They were even later than that. (They also clogged our toilet.) Delays like this significantly impact a cross-country move, and we lost valuable time starting our drive. I'm thankful we weren't flying, or we would have missed our flight. When we were ready to have our belongings delivered to our new place, it took me 2 weeks of phone calls to schedule it. Since it took 2 weeks to set up the move, this meant we would wait a total of four weeks. Forty-eight hours before delivery, I called to ensure everything was on track. At that time, I was told our belongings were sent to Florida instead of Wisconsin and had to return to NJ before they could be delivered to the correct location. Again, nobody called to let me know. When would we have found out? While we were waiting at our new home on the day of delivery? They escalated our case and assured us of an update by the end of the day. Not only did no one call, but they stopped taking my calls. Molloy Bros prides itself on excellent service. Their service is an embarrassment, as it is practically nonexistent. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are frauds. Molloy Bros is an affiliate of Mayflower Moving Company. They moved us from New York City to Texas in October 2023. We purchased extra insurance for Full (Replacement) Value Protection. Their high value form was too short for all our high value items to be listed. Consequently, I listed each on an Excel spreadsheet, which I emailed to our Move Coordinator and our Move Consultant. Both assured me that we were fully covered. We unpacked every box within 3 days of arrival in Texas & discovered that our 14 place settings of Christofle silver-plate flatware, valued over $10K, was missing. I immediately emailed our Move Coordinator and our Move Consultant to notify them. Additionally, our large mirror was damaged, our kitchen table was scratched, and the wood on a dresser was chipped. They repaired the dresser and paid us to repair the table. However, they denied the silver flatware claim stating that we "waived the right to check off the inventory control form at time of delivery and no notation of missing at time of delivery or to agency before filing an official claim". These statements were absurd and insulting. We could not have known the silver was missing until we unpacked each box. As mentioned above, Molloy/Mayflower was immediately notified by email. They also refused to repair the mirror and stated this damage was a result of climatic/atmospheric changes causing glue failure. This too was absurd. We reported the missing Christofle flatware to the New York Police Department. Also, Advance Relocation & Storage, another affiliate of Molloy/Mayflower, crated several pieces of our furniture. On December 8, 2023 an unauthorized charge of $800 from ARS crossed our Chase credit card. I immediately notified ARS. They reversed the charge and told me I had initiated it! On December 18, 2023 two charges for $4500 each crossed our Chase card again from ARS. I reported the fraud to Chase and canceled that card. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! I can't recommend them highly enough. Everyone was so professional and courteous, from Jack who came to do the estimate, Jennifer in the office, and Dennis, Danny, and Orlando, our moving crew. They did a fantastic job wrapping and loading all our possessions, then unloading it all in a storage facility in Pennsylvania. From start to finish, everything went so smoothly. The crew even came 45 minutes early to shovel our driveway, front stairs, and sidewalk (because of course it had to snow on our moving out day!). My only regret is that as they are located on LI, they won't go to PA to move our stuff into our new home once it's finally ready! read more

Had an appointment with a Mike or Eric (forgive me, guys, this was late January/early February) for an estimate. He called me the day of wanting to reschedule because of an illness-which I completely get. We discussed some things about the house and he decided that we shouldn't do the virtual walk through and it had to be done in person and that he would call me the next day to reschedule. Now, I don't know if this dude ended up with coronavirus or not but I waited, called and still could not get through to him for the estimate appointment. We were planning our move to Florida and I contacted the three major movers for a quote. Two out of the 3 companies sent an estimator and one wanted to do the inspection via FaceTime. Molloy sent their estimator Jack. His review of our move was professional and to the point. When our move was delayed a month due to a health issue Molloy had no issues rescheduling our move. Once we were ready Jack came back and re-estimated our move. Molloy also gave us the best deal and a binding estimate. On moving day Dennis and his crew arrived on time and got right to work. The crew took great care of our possessions. Eight days later the contents of our apartment arrived in Florida. The crew in Florida was just as professional as the NY crew. They even placed all the boxes in the appropriate rooms. Upon inspection of our things nothing was broken or amiss. I hope I never have to move again but if I do I'll be sure to contact Molloy Brother / Mayflower. Highly recommended! read more

I do not recommend Molloy Movers. We moved to LI that included a 6 month storage of household goods. The company lost one large box of furniture and goods and never reimbursed appropriately. The moving manager refused to move several large items into an upstairs guest area of our home. He continuously complained. He was rude and not service oriented. We have moved many times across the country and I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from staff. In an industry rife with bad experiences, Molloy Bros. was a breath of fresh air. My expectations were exceeded from my first contact with Sandra on pricing and initial scheduling to the unflappable Diane, who was flexible, accommodating and comforting with the particular needs of moving my 89 year old father from LI to Brooklyn Heights, to the courteous, helpful and quick moving team led by Juan. The challenges of moving into a high-rise building with one working elevator and a limited time frame, situated on a narrow street with little parking on a rainy day is the ultimate test of a company's expertise. A few months back I sold my home in Holbrook. I needed a moving company to help me move my furniture and a bunch of boxes into storage while we found another home closer to work. Their sales rep came to our and gave us a very fair price. He seemed nice enough. He told us the good thing is that if we used the company again when we bought our new house it would be cheaper due to a few reasons. The move went well. The movers were great and I was ready to recommend them to friends. We just purchased a new home and I was excited to use them again. Upon getting a quote, the rep quoted us 4 guys (instead of 3 like last time) and also quoted us peak pricing and a longer time period to move. This upset me and he ended up subtracting one worker from his quote and working a little bit with the peak pricing. I could live with it. The movers showed up and did a great job. Ended up being quicker than the quote and saved me around $400 hundred dollars which was great. Upon checking my credit card the next day, I see they charged me the quoted rate. In fact, they charged that exact amount before they even showed up to do the job. I reached out to customer service and was told that it's going to take a week before they can look into this. It takes a few minutes to refund a credit card transaction and issue a new charge. This company is scum. read more

Moved from Wantagh to Boynton Beach, Fl. Started with a virtual survey to determine the price. Ended up having it changed because I left out a bunch of stuff but still very fair price. Truck was scheduled to be at my house for pick up from 8-9am. Showed up at 8:02. Stuff was loaded in a few hours. Not a lot of furniture but about 200 boxes of all sizes. The stuff that needed to be wrapped was done very carefully and nothing broke during the move. Was told that they would arrive in Fla. between 6/29 and 7/7. They showed up on 7/1. Had everything unloaded in two hours. Probably the most reliable moving company you could ever deal with. You'd be crazy not to use them. read more

Molloy Moving relocated me from Long Island to Dublin Ireland and then back about 7 months later for a temporary relocation. From the initial point of contact; Stephen Seligson, Diane Gaines and Jade Rothbell took great care of me! They assisted me through all of the customs forms and difficult paperwork associated. I hired Molloy Bros. for a recent move from NY to FL, because I was nervous about the long distance move and wanted to use a reputable company (Mayflower). I could not be more disappointed in the quality of service I received. I was assured that I would not need to do any "pre-packing" and that the movers would take care of everything. However, my belongings were packed haphazardly and carelessly, and the movers made me feel like my personal belongings were worthless garbage. When one of the movers broke a glass candle holder, he left it in shards on the floor of my apartment. Despite receiving a binding quote from a company estimator, the movers ran out of boxes and threw remaining items into a large bin. They assured me that the items would be carefully packaged once they obtained more boxes. Despite my protests, they would not leave until I signed an agreement that all boxes had been loaded onto the truck. How could I agree to this when I had no idea how many boxes were ultimately used? Really, this was nothing more than a way for the movers to cover their own asses when they lost my belongings, because I could not prove how many items I was missing. Surprise! Items were missing. I received a box that didn't belong to me, which I promptly returned. But I have yet to receive my missing items. Customer Service allegedly made efforts to locate the missing boxes, but ultimately stated that they had no obligation to help me, and it was my fault because I signed a bill of lading stating that all of my items were received on delivery. Moving is stressful enough as it is; Molloy Bros.exacerbated my stress and frustration by one hundred percent. They are coercive, careless, and unhelpful. Would not recommend. read more

This was an international move into Canada. Right away, Chris made himself available as our assessor who came out to create an inventory and he was by far the most thorough and helpful person we dealt with while shopping around for moving services. He really took the time to tell us what the move and the costs would entail and went out of his way at every turn to educate us. Well above the call of duty and gave us a quote from NY to Canada. The moving price was fair and competitive. The day of the move out went very smoothly and the movers were all professional and worked hard caring for things. The crew was able to get everything out in a timely fashion and into the international system of moving across a border. Our moving agent Diane was and is the best customer liaison imaginable. She took us under her very experienced wing and careful explained, wrote to us and made herself available should we need to ask additional questions. Again another person on their team to go above and beyond. Diane you're were our earth angel during this move. Thank you! At our new location in Canada the truck and movers was given instructions from the building complex where they then parked and hauled the items to the elevator where our apartment was in the complex. Everyone was very professional and friendly and worked hard. Overall moving will always a stressful time. We were glad to choose Molloy Bros. and would definitely recommend going with this crew after you've shopped around and know what you need to make a big move like an international border crossing one that not only can happen but will happen and be completed professionally. read more

From getting the estimate to actually moving, I can't tell you how easy it was with Molloy. They are a subsidiary to Mayflower. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, respectful, and pleasant. Forgive typos in this review. I typed with my thumbs. The mayflower company literally hired five independent moving teams to move me. It was a fiasco as each subsequent team blamed the preceding one of not completing their assigned tasks well, and refusing to complete different aspects of the move. So trucker's team refused to crate TV, dismantle the bed or crate my two antique mirrors because they said Malloy's packing team were supposed to do those things. The packing team lied to my face for five minutes trying to convince me to not crate the tv but wait until the truckers team to do it next day. John the trucker didn't even have the tools to crate the TV. The man and woman molloy team left my $5000 4 x 5 ' 50lb mirror in a box literally half covered without using cardboard let alone the wood crate it needed. So the trucker's team loudly and aggressively complained about all the aspects of the move they felt were not under their preview. On the move-in a new crew showed up with trucker. John barged in before they were finished and said Told me he is over his schedule by two hours and there is leaving. I told him that he had moved some other clients furniture Into my home and I literally had to convince the crew that the two tables did not belong to me. He gave me no time to go over inveNtory even though i was meticulous writing down the numbers the crew called out. The Malloy packing team, after boasting about their 17 years of experience, put stickers on my 9 packed-full duffel bags and suitcases. If that is not the dumbest thing, i do not what is. None of the duffle bags arrived with stickers and many other items were missing from inventory. I sent this document to jade. I think there were 30 missing pieces. Now that i have been through my things i don't believe anything is missing, which is just plain dumb luck As john is ushering his crew out the door, i told him he needs to put the sofa legs on and "uncrate" the TV. And put it on the stand. Tv ways 120 lbs He said the sofa and tv were wrapped so it was not his crew's job to take all the plastic and tape and put legs on sofa or deal with tv because it was also wrapped. I ended up putting the legs on my 100lb sofa and unwrapping my other sofa When i got angry John finally unwrapped the TV but again refused to do his job with the sofa. He said that was the job of the unwrapping crew that were coming the next day. So When the unwrapping crew showed up on the final day which was yesterday they looked at the sofa that was wrapped in plastic and tape and all the pillows which were wrapped in plastic and tape and said that is not their job. They refused to do it. I ended up unwrapping my 8' sofa from reams of plastic and piles of tape. I then I lifted the sofa by myself and somehow attach the four legs All of this is on top of this was the total mess the management of the Malloy office team made of my $1200 insurance policy. The Molly office team literally fielded five phone calls from me on two days of the move-out and did nothing. Not even call me back. They responded not at all to the moveout issues I was having with John and his crew. Finally, after spending $1200 on insurance and telling the Malloy office both in email and on the phone to add items to high value, failed to do so. I have $1000 shirts and a $8,000 coat. Those were not high value listed because of Malloy utter incompetence. Finally when i threatened to not pay, Malloy made one good decision and hired an excellent third party vendor to assemble the bed. I can not imagine why a move using 4 teams from 4 different contractors with zero over sight from the Malloy office would ever go smoothly. Add to that A trucker with some kind of severe learning disability or personality defect or both. I Will post a version of this this email all over social media. I have been in advertising for 25 years and social media advertising is something i am very familiar with. I will post in the hope i can prevent other poor souls from ever hiring Malloy or Mayflower. Now on to the insurance department and trying to get reimbursed for my things that were broken. I do not expect a good result with them either. read more

Everything was great until I paid them. Then it was all downhill. They showed up 8 hours late to load my belongings and the guy in charge yelled at me like it was my fault when I asked what happened. This was extremely upsetting as I am an older woman and also disabled. I paid a lot of money for this move and that was A mistake. It also took them over 2 weeks to finally deliver my belongings. No one from the Company would answer the messages I left. I only got a response after I contacted the Better Business Bureau and it wasn't the response I wanted to hear. Extremely happy with the moving services provide by Molloy Brothers. I've worked with them on two moves: Manhattan to New Haven in 2020 and west side to east side of Manhattan this week (UN week in NYC). Even with the crazy congestion of UN week, they managed to pull off a perfect move. Quick, efficient packing (nothing broken or damaged), friendly, professional and reasonably priced (quality costs a little more, but Molloy is worth it - first class service all the way). I don't like to move, but if I have to again, no question I'll call Molloy to handle it. read more

Not a good choice for a moving company. They do a good job up front sales but the movers are not the most professional. The movers used my clean bathrooms several times throughout the move to do their # 2 business - yuck! They damaged my antique table and attempted to repair it with some sticky material and then placed it against the wall. The only reason I discovered the damage was because I ran my hand across the edge of the table to slide it over an inch and I felt the sticky, bumpy edge where wood chips had been stuck back to the table. Unbelievable! They could have let me know. They tried to hide it from me. I filed a claim that was not honored by the customer service team; not even for a minimal amount of $100. Beware! read more

Recently my fiance and I moved from New York to Colorado. This was the first time for me to use a moving service since this was a big move and after considering the possibilities of driving a truck ourselves we decided to go with Mayflower/Molloy Bros. I had contacted other moving services and almost didn't reach out to these guys but I'm glad I did. I was impressed with their professionalism from the moment I reached out to them! Chris was our moving agent who came out to asses our move and he was by far the most thorough and helpful person I dealt with while shopping around for moving services. He really took the time to tell us what the move and the costs would entail and went out of his way at every turn to educate us about our rights as movee's (if that's a word) even to go as far as to come back to provide some left over boxes for us. Well above the call of duty. The moving price was fair and competitive. The day of the move out went very smoothly and the movers were all professional and work hard caring things down our 3rd floor walk up (which is not easy). The crew was able to get everything out in a timely fashion and took half the time it would be have taken us to do it ourselves. We were very fortunate that our goods arrived a few days early. I was nervous that some things might not have made the move safely but most everything arrived in one piece. Our new location had told me that a 18-wheeler truck would be able to pull into the complex but unfortunately wasn't able to. Instead of coming back another day after transferring the items to a smaller truck they parked on the side of the complex and long carried the items over to where our apartment was in the complex. Everyone was very professional and friendly and really worked hard. In the end there were only a few minor dings in some furniture pieces (press wood) and one filing cabinet was dented to the point of being destroyed. This was most likely from being in the truck or being loaded from the warehouse and not the fault of our moving team on either end. We did go with the extra insurance on the move which covered the damage so collecting on that was painless. Overall moving is always a stressful time and a hard challenging process and I'm glad that I choose to go with Molloy Bros. instead of doing it myself. I would definitely recommend giving them a shot if you are looking for movers. read more

Extremely rude and careless. Don't let the very professional office staff fool you- the movers themselves (as in, the guys who come into your home and move your belongings) are RUDE and CARELESS. We had the simplest move imaginable- going literally from one apartment building to another next door. We paid extra money for them to pack our items for us, and then move them. Not only did the movers (specifically the head mover Juan) complain the whole time about all the work they had to do packing, they did an EXTREMELY lousy job. They threw a plant in sideways crammed into a box so the dirt spilled everywhere. On top of dress shoes. Which they just threw in a box, under a sideways plant. They re-assembled our bed incorrectly so that the drawers under it didn't close. They also damaged nearly every piece of furniture we own with scrapes and scratches. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MOVE OR YOUR BELONGINGS We hired and trusted this company for a move from NY to CO. The move started out smoothly with wonderful people from Molloy who sold us on their professionalism, experience, service, and being partnered with a big and trusted company like Mayflower but then things went downhill quickly. The delivery part of the move was a disaster and when we found out that all the things were sold and promised did not occur. No communication about Delivery: We were stressed out with our delivery because we were not able to contact the truck driver to confirm delivery date and time window and our contact at Molloy did not get back to us either. We had to escalate at Molloy to get someone to do something and get in touch but only in time the night before. We were told 2 things (Molloy provided the driver with the wrong number for us and the driver was out of reach) Either way, this is a failure in process on the company's part. During the delivery inventory check, it became apparent the packers in NY did not do this properly because the tags did not match the inventory list or containers and items had missing tags which made this process unreliable. Lack of care of high value items: The care of our belongings were an added disappointment. As 1 example, our coffee table was identified as high value but was damaged because we were lied to that a crate was waiting on the truck when the movers took it out of the NY apt and we found out at delivery that it was just wrapped and taken to a warehouse then crated there (which wasn't the proper process or what we were told was happening). Not only was the process not the industry standard but at delivery we had an issue because our delivery team did not have the paperwork to uncrate our item - we were told a third party who does this service should have been arranged by Molloy. No security or accountability for your belongings: To add onto the lack of care and security to our belongings, as we started to unpack we find that we had items stolen from a container. We were told that we need to file a claim which is set up to handle this exact situation. Our claim was denied even though we had photos of the items missing from our packing process. It isn't surprising based on the downgrade in services and questionable quality of work that occurred to also have our property mishandled or not secured but it's unacceptable that the claims process is set up to not resolve this type of situation. Especially after being victims to negligent work, lack of service, and having been victims to a theft. No integrity or responsibility of service: We kept hearing that we would end up apologizing to them because we had probably misplaced it ourselves or how we should have secured our belongings better from the company. It's really insulting to hear that we paid for all our belongings to be secured and delivered as a moving service yet only some are considered valuable. We would not recommend this mover because why would anyone choose a mover that tells you it's your fault or that your belongings aren't ALL valuable. It's silly because moving is all about your belongings and that your possessions will be cared for and securely delivered. We paid in full and definitely feel a difference between the level of service from the beginning to the end of our experience. We regret not researching more because as we write this review, it's clear from other reviews that this isn't the first or last time these issues have occurred with this company. read more

OMG, what are you thinking? Dealing with these people? I tried to initiate my move in *2010* only to have things on my end crater. I trusted these people to store my goods. Finally in 2013 I asked to have my goods transported to my new location across the country. Then, and only then, did I discover that they were in some "altercation" with another company that was trying to "merge" with them. They were apparently locked out of their warehouse (the one my stuff was living in) until November of 2013. Now it's 2014 and I still haven't seen my things delivered. Just sayin. read more

We were moving my father from New York to Boston and well, to say it's been difficult would be quite the understatement. Fortunately, Edmond and crew made things so much easier. Showed up when they said they would, were courteous and friendly, boxed everything up, loaded it up.. Then, on the receiving end... once again, showed up on time, friendly, and patient with the lot of us. And I'll be darned, everything came in perfectly (with the exception of one cheap plate that should've died three decades ago). Let me first stipulate that both my husband and I worked for different moving companies when we were younger, and had never actually used a Moving Company before. However, with the timing falling close to the holidays/college breaks, we didn't want to inconvenience friends and family this time, so we decided to hire movers...so far, it's the best decision we have made all year!! We recently made a local move on Long Island from a 4BR to a 3BR. Jack Rose came in and gave me a very thorough estimate, and explained how to prepare for moving day. (We packed up ourselves)The company's coordinator, Kerri Busam, maintained contact with me throughout the next few weeks (which was wonderful, considering some of their competition never even called me to set up a requested estimate!). On Moving Day, Juan and his crew of 4 men arrived on time, were completely professional, and HUSTLED the whole day. They even worked with me when a piece of furniture didn't quite fit or look right in a certain spot. These guys did such a great job that I actually called the main office to praise them as their truck pulled away! Moving can be incredibly stressful, and being a professional Stressball, I have to admit I had serious concerns. But even now, a week later, I'm finding that all of the boxes were put in the correct locations, and unpacking has been made easier thanks to them. Highly Recommend!!! read more

This will be a easy review to write. That she jade my move went so bad, I have lots to say (KEEP READING, SPOILERS). Obviously. I gave this company 5 stars so this means the move went very bad, HOWEVER, Molloy Bros. we're the one's that helped me out so much, above and beyond what they need to do). Here's what made my move so bad. And this way, I can explain how Molloy Bros made my move tolerable with lots of bad luck on my side. First off, I hired the movers (who came a week and a half earlier) with only a few days till my "move in date". The "move in date(s) will come into play the rest of the way. My move in date was the 25th of the day. The moving company picked up my stuff (and packed it as I am a disabled vet) and I need this done. LITERALLY, the night before I moving, and my movers are already on their way the next am and I also told my landlord I was put on the 23rd. This is where Hope from mayflower became my "savior". I was driving from NY to Florida and I was taking my time. But I had to call Hope to let her know that I can't have my stuff there before the 30th, which she said "this is something we usually don't have any influence over, as on a long move, they combine trucks and send immediately after that. My stuff was going to arrive 3 days early. Hope calls me back and says she was able to have them keep it off the next truck and it should arrive very close to the first. Sounds great, huh? NOT YET. I had to live in a Hotel and the day before my move in day. I was then informed that I had to wait till the 15th. This absolutely blew my mind and I have a HORRIBLE back (4 major back surgeries including a 3 level fusion In my lower back with 2 eight inch rods). The beds in cheaper Hotels are not good. One day ok, but not for 2 weeks. Anyway, back to the move. I had to call Mayflower again. I spoke to Hope, and instead of even seemingly slightly upset, she said "let me call the facility to see what's going on" I was very thankful as I used to enjoy making calls, but also suffering depression wasn't helping. So she called and has them put it in a garage for the time being. Now I paid to have my stuff unpacked, but I got the place I'll be living in offer up 250 to move it to the room as well. Hope was part of helping me get that too. I move in tomorrow l, but my friend saw my stuff and it was perfect. Hope even told me to call after, just if I needed someone to talk with. I am the same kind of person always wanting to help others, so that was the part that made me realize what a good woman she is, and she is your point of talk (if you're lucky). Considering the situation, and she also was able to hold it back another truck, this is how ALL businesses should work. And the guys that picked up my stuff were great as well. Ricky (I think that was his name) did my packing and Moving. They were thorough in all aspects and didn't waste time. So I can't find a bad thing to say about this company, even though I am homeless 3 more day LOL. Some people have a bad experience in something in life, so they bury all companies. It is important in my eyes to make the proper companies accountable and rate each company involved just for what their part of you purchase is. One example is easy. You order in food from a third party company to deliver your food. The delivery is 40 minutes late. The deliverer isn't very nice. You even overpay this company that delivers because they have a high charge themselves. Now with all that bad stuff, the food order is correct, hot and amazing. Do you rate the whole thing bad? Good? I say you break it up and make each entity who makes the mistakes responsible. Bottom line, tell em Mirch sent ya! Great place and I'm kidding about the Mitch part, but if you get Hope, you can tell her. She will get a laugh. GREAT COMPANY FOR LONG DISTANCE MOVES. I was referred to Molloy for our move from Queens, NY to Chicago, IL in the middle of the Polar Vortex. This experience was totally new to me, but Diane made the experience much less stressful. Every question I asked, no matter how small or stemming from my paranoia, was answered in a timely and professional manner. I couldn't have asked for more in customer support and service. Due to one of the big storms that came into the NYC area, Diane and her staff moved my belongings two days earlier to make it out before it hit. Without that proactive suggestion I wouldn't have received my delivery (and it was delivered on the earlier end) of my estimated arrival. Nothing was missing or broken, and my driver was communicative the whole entire time. From beginning to end this has been a great experience, and I have full confidence in them. If I ever need a move again I'll be using them! read more

I had a big move; 10 hours. 2 trucks. 5 movers. It was a little pricy but I needed the move to go well so I went with the more reputable company. I'm glad I did. I was very pleased with their work, the movers worked hard the whole time and were very professional and polite. It was easy to see they took pride in their work. They cared about unloading to correct place, always asking me where things went if unsure. They assembled and reassembled all large items without complication. No scratches, dents, or breaks to furniture or to the house. I had a few oversized items (covered wood racks, pool table) that I thought might be an issue but they handled it with ease. I definitely recommend this company to anyone cares more about a job done right. read more

They are crooks. Moving team showed up at 7:42am, finished around 2pm. Took over an hour to eat lunch in our new house using our table and chairs. Final paperwork they turned in said hours worked were 7:30-4pm with no lunch. When we requested a refund for time not logged, sales manager Stephen Seligson told me he couldn't take money out of his workers pockets. Translation - we screwed you the customer and there's nothing you can do about it. read more

I had used them over ten years ago and they did a good job so I used them again last year. Their service has deteriorated. There movers damaged my wall and an expensive closet. When I called and emailed their service department multiple times, they never responded. Avoid companies that treat their customers this way. read more

We hired this company to move our furniture from Ridgewood NJ to Toronto Canada. They were the highest cost and seemed quite professional. We were promised a delivery date between July 17 and August 12. It is now August 12 and we understand that our furniture is still in NJ. THEY LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY TODAY September 28, 2017, TWO DAYS BEFORE I HAD TO BE OUT OF MY HOUSE ! Horrible experience with them not even making the move I contracted for. I was quoted and accepted a five hour job plus one hour transportation with four men after the sales rep came to my house and inspected everything to be moved at my house-and the steep hill/driveway down to the house and the steps down to the other house TWO DOORS AWAY to which I am moving. I have had many furniture deliveries down that driveway yet these "movers" claimed that they could not get down the driveway with their truck after only one poorly executed attempt! They would not listen to my advice gained from three years traversing the driveway. All I heard was that the driver had 40 years experience but his attempt was amateurish and he gave up right away, not the mark of an experienced driver. After 1.5 hours of four men standing around and pondering/considering the possibilities of a move ONLY TWO HOUSES AWAY, they refused to consider moving the furniture by hand up and down the stairways, and never even started packing the furniture for a move!!! Finally I was told that the truck was too big for the driveway, that no other trucks were available, so the move could not be done at all that day, and that they were calling the manager. I immediately arranged to rent a small truck from U-Haul but they refused to even consider using the U-Haul truck, which I volunteered to drive down and up the driveway myself. After a twenty-minute wait for the manager to arrive, and another twenty minutes having the manager consider the possibilities, I was offered a SIX-MAN move on Monday, October 2 with a smaller truck, two days after my deadline, and into the next month, which could possibly subject me to another full month's rent. I heard the manager say this was a "bear" of a move, and I imagined that they were going to jack up the price when I heard 50% more men, additional materials, etc. I asked for a reversal of the credit card charge I had authorized the day before, and was assured that the charge would be reversed. When I called my card issuer later, however, they had no record of an attempted reversal. Now I am scrambling to arrange for a truck for tomorrow and to find day laborers rather than the so-called "professional movers" I had contracted to move my furniture, including an expensive new dining room set, which furniture is only three years old. This was a HORRIBLE experience and I expect to hold Molloy Bros accountable if I suffer damages as a result of their breach of contract. read more
