The gate closed on my car while my husband was on his way out after picking up a few things from our storage unit on 05/30/22. The man working that day was the janitor, who told us he hasn't seen something like this before, that the sensor should have prevented this, and to call when the manager was going to be back the next day so he could figure out a way to fix the situation. We've called for two days since, with promises that the manager, Cesar, would call back with a solution for us. We've yet to hear anything back. This is the car I drive my kids around in. Although we've had no issues with storage there, this is completely unacceptable and very disappointing. I suggest potential customers look elsewhere. UPDATE: They've informed us that there is nothing they can do about the damage to our car caused by THEIR faulty gate. The only thing they can do is give us a free month of storage. That Doesn't even cover the deductible to have our car repaired through our insurance. Save yourself the headache and find a facility that's trustworthy and has the customers best interest in mind. read more

Worst public storage ever. Cant visit your unit past 5pm. I stored here for less then 6 months and my unit was broken into THREE times. Majority of the units have flimsy cardboard doors and the alarm on the door was never even reattached. They raised rent prices and claimed to have installed cameras but more break ins happened after this. Unless you want your stuff stolen, don't rent here. read more

I would definitely not recommend Public Storage. My unit was on the 3rd floor and for almost 3 months there was no ac on the floor. I requested for the District Manager to give me a call and I am still waiting. Also I was in the middle of moving my stuff out and they locked the elevators down after being told that I would be able to finish moving after hours. When I called customer service, I was literally told that I would have to use the stairs to finish moving. I tried to open the stair door and it was locked so I literally had to sleep in my truck in their parking lot cause my unit is wide opened and keys are upstairs. Customer service sucks as well both in person and on the phone. Corporate office is a joke as well. read more

We had to wear face mask and gloves to get my things out of this place which went straight to trash. The insurance told me $150.00 also, but really I have suffered the same loss as if everything had been in a fire. I just needed a short term storage place and this was a good fit. great price and value for the space I got. James, the manager was Always friendly and helpful. My only negative was that there are only 3 trolleys for the whole facility and they are gone quickly/unavailable for most of the times that I needed one. So more trolleys to move belongings would make this place from good to great. read more

The Public Storage on Gulf Parkway was the greatest. Great customer service, helpful and attentive to my needs. Unfortunately I can't say I had the same experience at the location on Glen Vista. I have 2 units, one at each location because Glen Vista has a broken elevator, nor could they accommodate me. They were not helpful or supportive in any way. Rats! Rats! Do NOT use this #PublicStorage. Belfort locatrion. RAT Infestation. Furniture eaten. Mattress used as bed and toilet! REEKS!!! Two Wardrobe boxes full of clothes and shoes destroyed! Boxes of linens, games, electronics, bedding destroyed. I've file a report with the BBB. Don't know if that will do ant good. The mattress and boxspring were literally dripping with urine.You can see the urine line level!! Stench was awful!! Mountain of feces! Paying for this climate controlled unit since Hurricane Harvey. The heat is horrible. Learned today that temp-control meant a blistering 80 degrees!! I asked for an open unit so I could bleach and disinfect some things and was told that they had just rented the last unit available. Still taking peoples money knowing rats are running the asylum! I'm very disappointed in this facility and with this company! Rented space December 2014, and now its July 2015 (7 months of rental) and they have gone up on my rent three times since I moved in! I don't know why and get no reasonable answer. I thought a contract would be good for at least one year at the original rate. My previous facility, Bullseye Storage, didn't go up on my rent for two years! read more
