I've been renting from this Public Storage location for over four years, and my experience has gone downhill drastically. I recently had to switch units due to being priced out, only to receive a shocking 47% rent increase on the new unit shortly after moving in. When I reached out to discuss this, their response was dismissive and uncaring. They offered a mere $11 discount--hardly a solution. It was insulting, to say the least, especially for a long-time customer who has helped keep their business afloat. After doing some research, I discovered countless similar complaints about Public Storage--not just this location, but nationwide. Many customers have experienced increases ranging from 25% to 60%, making it clear that this is a company-wide issue. If there are rent control measures for housing, there should absolutely be similar regulations for storage facilities. On top of the ridiculous price hikes, their customer service is nearly impossible to reach, and when you do, they offer no meaningful assistance. If you value your money, avoid Public Storage at all costs. Unless you're okay with changing units every six months and being brushed off by customer service, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. Public Storage is gouging customers with predatory pricing practices, and their lack of concern for loyal renters is appalling. I opened my storage unit on June 16th. I went today on August 3rd, emptied out my unit and close my account with the acting manager on duty. He said everything looked good. He just has to go and inspect my unit and if there's any issues, let me know. I get a email today saying they charge me for the full month of August. I called and asked what's up with being charged a full month? When I signed up the manager on duty said I'd be charged the 16th every month. When I told the acting manager this he said that they lied to me. They're not gonna honor what the other manager said. Well, I'll never do business with public storage again ever. I will definitely spread the word. read more

Everything went well with the reservation and move in, but that's where the positives ended. There are 2 primary complaints that I have with this business. First, they won't lock in the rate. I asked them to, but they said they wouldn't do it. So it was not surprising, after only four months, that they raised my rate by 20%. I was on a one-year trip and could not even consider moving my things. Of course, when I went to cancel at the end of my term they immediately offered me a 20% off coupon. If you are storing here I suggest that you cancel as soon as they raise your rate, and then take their offer to continue at the lower rate. Second, when I went to move out, a lot of my things were chewed or pee'd on by mice. There was tons of mouse feces over all of my things. Also, there was plenty of mouse poison outside of the units, but none in the units where it matters. The insurance policy that you must buy when renting a unit has a maximum $250 in coverage for rodent damage. That won't even cover one of my business suits that was chewed. read more

Folks who are looking to store vehicles here should know that the premises is not secure. We dropped off our travel trailer on Sep 12 with a hitch lock on it and it was stolen on Fri Sep 13. Because you need a code to get through the gate and out again, we're thinking this was an "inside job"...someone who already rents space there. Literally got my storage broke into 2 days after I put my stuff in. They didn't tell me till 3pm the next day and asked me to be there before 5 pm when they close. I'm nowhere near the storage and it's now rush hour. So my storage was open all day and nobody knew about it being broke into until 1:30 pm. They said they are low on staff so don't check very often. How can you charge me like you're taking care of my stuff but you're not even there most of the day. I asked how do I know it's not going to happen again and she said she don't know. What exactly am I paying $345 a month for? And they want proof I even owned the stuff that is missing like serial numbers. I know they are going to fight me about paying me back for missing stuff and how am I going to know what's missing until I get it all unpacked. My new place isn't available for a couple weeks. Smh ‍ just wanted my stuff safe for 2 weeks. $345 for nothing. I already rented a truck to get the stuff into storage and can't afford plus don't have time to move all my stuff. They won't pay to move it. They won't even pay for a second lock. If nobody is going to be here after hours then they should have sensors and there should be people here during the day no matter what. My storage being open all day is not ok. They took costume jewelry that was worthless to them but used to be my moms that passed away. How can public storage pay for that? read more

I was looking for easy and inexpensive and I found it with Public Storage. Everything was completed online. They had a great move in special which helped greatly with my moving costs and it made it to where I could afford to pay the first two months of rent. I was given all the informaroom via text/email. When I got to my unit, it was clean and my lock and paperwork were in there waiting for me. It was such an easy process. read more

In February I emptied 2 storage units that I have been renting for over 1 year. I emptied it about 12 days early. Dora the Store Manager said she would manually take care of the monthly automatic deductions for 2 units. On the day I moved out, I once again checked in with Dora. Her District Manager happened to be at this location and asked about my experience. I told her it had been good. Dora removed the automatic payments for both accounts but I am now getting calls that I have been sent to collections. I have left various messages with her staff at this location and have yet to get a call back. I'm not understanding why Dora has not returned my call. I have moved out of state, otherwise I'd drive to the location. Since the District Manager asked that I leave a yelp review I am hoping she will see this and call me back so that we can take care of this mistake. read more

Public Storage sent an email increase rent for September 1. Given Covid I thought it was not fair. I contacted Public Storage and they lowered it back to the original amount; it seemed was poor timing on Public Storage's fault. Note: given the number of reviews this facility has, I think they have review software. It's a lot of reviews for this industry. Original: And I thought I did my research. They got spray paint on our stuff inside our unit when they were painting the doors and raised our monthly payment by $100.

Shouldn't even be 1star, my mom pass away, I am the accessor of the unit. They wouldn't let me in and I had the key to the unit. I talked to Laura, and her boss Tracey. I finaly got in and they they were threatening me and called the police on me but got my moms goods. We were paid to the end of the month of Febuary. Previous review: The facilities are good, and I've never had an issue with customer service. I am extremely dissatisfied with the "value" though. I have stored my belongings there for nearly 3 years, and with the coming raise in rent, I'm paying slightly over $50 more than I was paying on move-in. From $128 a month with insurance (insurance is an additional $9 charge), to $182 a month with insurance in just 3 years. I understand I have a larger unit, but I don't see how or why I need to pay nearly $200 a month when I was closer to paying $130 a month just 3 short years ago. I am looking into downsizing my unit and likely seeking other storage options because I won't be able to afford the unit I'm in when they keep raising the rent. Update: I stopped by yesterday 21AUG2017 to grab an item from my storage locker and discovered that my motorcycle I've had stored there wince my move in had been stolen. My lock was not cut or seemingly damaged in any way. My boxes and containers had been moved and rifled through. There are several other items missing as well. I have contacted my vehicle insurer as well as the police. I'll be contacting the site manager shortly, as there is no after-hours contact I'm aware of, and customer service couldn't locate my account. read more

DO NOT STORE YOUR PRECIOUS ITEMS HERE!!! i had to have their lock cut off service change my lock-which took them 2 weeks btw and items where missing from my unit!-and caused an additional monthly charge!-when i called the management they were very rude and blamed me that the drill used to do it broke! Not as modern as some of the other storage places in the area bare wood floors, less 'sealed' than new units), but perfectly fine for most storage, and definitely the best prices for the area. Service is EXCELLENT - Dora was friendly, professional and knows what she's doing. Would have given 4 or 5 stars but they wouldn't let us park our truck close to our unit for a few hours. (It would block one of the two paths - cars would have to go 50' to go around.) I had hoped they would make an exception for a few hours. read more

Don't use this Public Storage! We've stored household goods there for almost a year now. They recently painted the building and did not take any precautions when they pressured washed and painted. Water from the pressure washing and paint from the sprayers came through the door and damaged our furniture, and worst of all the staff didn't apologize or acknowledge our complaints about the damage. All they did was hand us a insurance claim form. You would think that a facility that you pay to safeguard your belongs would at least have put plastic up to protect the area when they paint. As soon as I assess the damage I'll file an insurance claim and possibly a law suite. Will never use them again! read more

Do not rent from here they will rob you. I had fallen into hard times and my unit went into lien status I just spoke to Brandon yesterday explained I get my unemployment tomorrow morning usually before 10 my stuff was said to be auctioned off the same day and he had told me as long as I made the payment by 10 a.m. then it would not be auctioned off I attempted 10 calls before 10 a.m. left voice mails and everything try to access my account online without any success I then proceeded to go down to the place and was informed that my stuff has been sold after he said he put a note on there and he had said that as long as it's before 10 a.m. which I had attempted to call and make sure that they were aware I was coming. I just feel like I was lied to and now robbed of my stuff a lot of it is sentimental from my cousin and other family members that are no longer live but especially my cousin because he was like my brother he had took his own life last year so that was literally everything I had I have since put in a call to the district manager Jason which I doubt at this point he's going to even be able to do anything but I'm hopeful that they will be able to rectify this situation somehow some way because this is unacceptable read more

This place is located very conveniently to I5, has pleasant staff. Clean and safe. It's what you want in a storage facility.

This might be the worst Public Storage there is. The owner of this facility is clearly not interested in Pubic Storage reputation or the safety of it renters property. I have never left a review but thought this one would hopefully help others who are looking for safe storage. Let me just start with the fact that nobody ever answers the phone. And if you leave a message it takes day for them to get back to you. The office hours say 9-5. The office is always locked and nobody is ever there. I have been in there 7 times. Only once has anyone been there. I rented a unit online which I needed show ID to the on-site management once I arrived. So I loaded my truck and trailer and when I got there to move into my unit there wasn't anybody there at 11 AM to give me my access code. Door locked. Lights off. Once I finally got in I drove to the area where my unit is and found every single door has been bent and broken into. Non of the door on my building can close. The security fence has holes everywhere. This place is absolutely the worst. It appears they rent to Homles's people as homeless people with backpacks walk around the facility nobody there to stop them. I warn all to stay away. Very far away. read more
