I booked a truck to pick up in Lynnwood, even used their mover service to have movers meet me to load up the truck...36 hours before the reservation they moved the pick up from Lynnwood to White Center! I called to get help, they told me that they only ever confirm reservations 2 days before pick-up (so if they're going to mess up your move, you will have very little notice), and told me because of how they do inventory, if I wanted to get the truck I paid for, where I paid for, I had to pay more money! That's right, they had the truck I paid for, for the amount of time I paid for, in the size I paid for...but they wouldn't give it to me unless I paid more money. I asked about the $50 reservation guarantee the website boldly says you'd get if they messed up your reservation, and he said my booking didn't count. Look up bait and switch on Google and tell me if that's not the exact definition. Try J&R truck rentals, they are locally owned and cheaper per truck and per mile. read more

I had the worst time moving north away from Everett and people in general The place that I chose as to stay temporary gave me a move in date the day before the date I was given I called to confirm and was told at least another week . I called the movers and u haul. They immediately got it worked out Then it was pushed back again and U-Haul came through. So. I finally get moved in. Everything except my dining table. The driver shows up on time. Is loading up the box and I got my pick up text I had to have her unload it so I could unload the table My piece of crap son in law no showed so I did it on my own. I rented a trailer from here last weekend. I made reservations online the week before, and picked it up a few days later. Rental was for less than 24 hours. I was assisted by a lady who could have had better customer service manners. While working with me and my order, she was eating and focusing more on her coworkers computer screens than mine. It's like "Hey lady, pay attention to the customer you are assisting and less on your surroundings." Also, eating while helping a customer out? Really unprofessional. Besides that, getting the trailer and dropping it off the next day went smoothly. They attached and detached the trailer for us quickly. Absolute nightmare experience here. Came to load a U-Box container after spending 2+ hours loading it in 90 degrees and driving almost an hour to get there. When we arrived, we were told "their warehouse was closed" so we could not access the UBox, but we were there 2 hours before closing. Absolutely NOWHERE is it posted that their warehouse closes at 5. I checked all emails, google, uhaul websites, even my contract. When the GM was contacted, he in a matter of seconds basically said "too bad" and there was nothing they could do. Ended up needing to leave the truck there overnight and return (almost an hour away) to load it into the ubox the next day. Had to rehire help to come again a second day (after paying an hour the day prior just trying to get this situation resolved - none of which was spent unloading the truck). Then drive to return my truck, then BACK to Lynwood store (in a $75 Uber) then drive my car BACK to the city where the truck was picked up. Because this was yet another way they were unable to remedy this. Not to mention it's Mother's Day. I've now spent 4 hours today finishing up a job that could've very easily been done in the hour we wasted in the store yesterday being told there was nothing that could be done. Overall, this costed me 2 additional hours of help ($100), a $75 Uber, and roughly $20 in additional gas making additional trips to Lynnwoood and back from seattle - so a little over $200. Not to mention the additional 4 hours spent finishing this up on Mother's Day. Kaine did the best he could with the situation but this was abismal. Uhaul needs to make this right. Or at least make your "warehouse hours" visible somewhere if they are different from your store. And communicate with your customers paying you over $1000 what time they are able to use your services. read more

First the lady who took my reservation got the dates I needed the trailer all wrong . I needed 7 days, she put 1 . ??? 5 days later I decide to look up my reservation on line , There was no reservation? So I immediately called u haul waited on hold for help over 45 min before someone answered my call. I then made my 2nd attempt to reserve a 6x12 enclosed trailer . Hopefully they get my reservation right and hopefully they get my dates needed right ? After a couple days i check for my reservation on line (AMAZINGLY) I see my reservation, but wait there's more The reservation is for a open car trailer ,?What's wrong with these employees ? It takes me over 10 hours of my time ,Just to rent a enclosed trailer? Then 1 day before I am requesting pick up of the trailer, they call me to tell me I have to drive to the farthest end of the next town away ????. Fraudulent additional charges added on to my bill the next day. I rented a cargo van for 3 hours. Returned it in perfect condition, earlier than I had originally said I would have it for. Stood out in the rain as the check in attendant did the walk through as I've had this same company add additional charges before. I requested my final checkout price before I walked away. "Yes sir no problem. Your total comes out to $36." Low and behold 24 hours later I get an email receipt from them claiming I had the truck for over 24 hours and they charged me for having it overnight. This is by far the WORST U-Haul location I've ever used across multiple states and over 10 years of driving/towing vehicles. Along with having a family dealership. Made a reservation, confirmed pickup, drove thru traffic over an hour.....to arrive to the manager stating that my 3200lb 1996 camaro was too heavy for the 6000lb max limit trailer. The uhaul computer screen said 6000lb trailer recommended and the 7000lb and higher not recommended.......he said camaro was too heavy for the 6000lb trailer, my Escalade ext couldn't tow the 7000lb safely, then said I needed to rent a 15' box truck and the 7000lb trailer News flash, I've towed 3/4 ton trucks on your same 6000lb trailer.... My fully loaded Escalade ext is 7000lbs approx..... so I guess my camaro is the only one in the world manufactured over 3200lbs and GM must have mislabeled the weight, the title is incorrect, at least according to the manager here it is ‍‍ read more

Went in to this location because there were some supplies we couldn't find at the location 3 minutes away from our apartments. We drove 22 minutes in this direction to get them. The website wouldn't take our card to order ahead so we decided to just buy in person. We get there and look around and i asked my boyfriend to get a cart, one of the employees tells him that he needs it so he doesn't allow him to take it. He tells us to put it on top of other boxes in the corner until we have to pay. So i grab a mattress cover and set it aside and get some boxes. When we go to get everything checked out, the same employee from earlier is there. I ask him a question and he answers in the most condescending way. Then tells us that he hopes we don't hate him because he stole our mattress cover that we had already picked out. Without even telling us or asking if it was okay to do. I was upset because we came all this way to get it along with the rest and he didn't bother asking us. Then he asks us what boxes we got, we tell him and he's being rude the whole time when trying to find the sizing of the boxes. We won't be coming back even to sell our boxes like he wanted us to do. He rather think about himself than give proper service to the customers that are buying in person as well. I don't care about if there wasn't much inventory brought in. I don't work there. It rubbed me the wrong way having him treat us so poorly. Don't bother getting help from this guy or any guy here. I think he might be the owner. god i hope not. My rating for this UHaul place would be a 0 out of 5, honestly. I was treated poorly by the Front Desk people at the UHaul store where I picked up the rental truck. The customer service is really below par. The truck that was rented to me had brakes that were defective. Whenever I press the brakes, almost halfway through the truck continued to slide forward and would not stop. This is a real safety hazard. Then they charged me incorrectly for starting mileage. The Front Desk rep, Enrique, and the rest of the Front Desk employees, were rude, even after I informed them that they over charged me for an incorrectly entered starting mileage. They would not hold themselves accountable for a mistake that is clearly done by the rep who last entered the ending mileage on the last customer who rented this truck. They keep stating it is in their policy. No matter what, employees are supposed to diligently enter the correct starting mileage on the truck before releasing it to the customer. This was not done by the rep who took my reservations. This is poor customer service on the part of UHaul. I would expect a call from the manager to rectify this with me. I believe I should not be charged for an error that was clearly done by an individual who works for UHaul. It is not a good representation of your team of staff, as a whole. Let alone, you are leaving a bad reputation for doing a disservice to your faithful customers. Would appreciate a manager to contact me about this and resolve this in a manner that is in alignment to providing service with integrity of character and reputation that aligns with UHaul's culture and values. If you want customer service, you will not find it from this location. I worked as a customer service representative, and this is not how a good customer service should have been handled. They are not responsible to figure out about our car reservation and they only said it's full. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rented a truck and storage unit. I live in Bellingham and was moving my mom. We got to the UHaul 30 minutes before closing with a unit reserved and the guy refused to give us the key saying we didnt have time to unload. So I unloaded everything (which fit on one cart) in 10 minutes. Still refused to give us the key and said I had to come back tomorrow. I called the manager and the manager agreed with the employee saying they had families to get home to. So I had to reload my truck and was still done before they closed. Ended up calling corporate and that manager was quick to call and say sorry. I would stay away from this place. read more

My experience with this business was succinct, fast, and the customer service was pretty good. We were there on a very busy Saturday morning with two rental agents. Line moved quickly in this pristine and well equipped agency. Restrooms were immaculate and even had a great scent! We had reserved the truck and dolly online and they were ready when we arrived. The truck was clean, gas amount was confirmed, and dolly was in the truck. On return. we were in and out quickly with no surprises on fees. will definitely return when we move again!! read more

Excellent Customer Service and overall experience. We initially went in person to make our reservation so we knew exactly what we would be getting size wise. The customer service agent was patient and helpful, it was on a weekday morning, so it was quiet. They called the day before our departure to confirm our truck and trailer were ready. Pick up was a breeze, they gave us exactly what we asked for and the truck was clean and well maintained. Overall we are impressed. Our friends have had bad luck with smaller uhaul agencies in Snohomish county. I will direct them here in the future. read more

Been here several times using their pick-ups to take the garbage to the dump and such and never felt like they weren't doing the right thing or trying to get as much money from me as they could. Once (long story short), I stopped by and needed to rent a truck for about an hour, but they were closing in about an hour. I hurried with the process and what I needed the vehicle for to avoid the $10 fee that comes with turning a vehicle in outside of the normal business hours. I showed up at about 7:03pm (just after closing), but they were waiting inside. Susan told me that they weren't waiting for me (even though she knew), but I had a feeling they were waiting for us just to be nice to avoid charging me another $10 (I rent a truck about once a month). read more

How do you rate sub-zero for arrogance and just flat out lying. That's what the woman behind the counter did numerous times. It wasn't even difficult to get her to change her story and therefore change her lies. I've rented countless times from uhaul in many states over many years including three times this year moving my sons and me and my wife. Never ever has a passport, copy of my lease or calling a verified person at 7am been required and it certainly wasn't told to me that it would be a requirement at time of rental. I provided drivers license, had credit cards but she said it's a requirement and always has been. Needless to say she is right because "I work here" and my past rental experiences meant nothing. In fact she said all the other places must have been violating the rules. She was lying and changing her story when I gave her examples of where she was lying. Her over and over response..."Have the day you deserve". Like I was doing something wrong. I mostly felt motivated to write a review of a U-haul store because the overall rating seemed unjustly low. I'm sure people have had bad experiences. The nature of moving. But I had nothing but good customer interaction, fair prices, and a good vehicle (van) at this location in Lynnwood. I've been to many locations around the country over the years. This location is a good one. Now you may not like how U-haul does things, with truck scheduling but that's a bigger issue and usually not the fault of the person at the counter. And despite problems I've had in the past, I don't think there are many better options for 1-way rentals for personal moving trucks. read more

My grandson and I went to this location for a 6x12 trailer. We have moved 10 times in 7 years and we both agree that this was the best service we have ever received. From the front counter to the gentleman who attached the trailer, they were professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Employees like these make a great business. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent Uhaul reservation. It is such a let down since I have been using Uhaul for many years and I always thought they were the people to turn to for my moving needs. My wife recently booked a van for us at the North Lynnwood location because of its convenience to our home and the stores we had to stop at. When we arrived at the North Lynnwood location we waited in line for several minutes and then were told they moved us to South Lynnwood because they didn't have a truck for us. Now I can understand this because trucks have to get moved around but a text message to notify me while I'm driving in the morning is unacceptable. Any other good business with common sense and good customer service would have called me 24 hours in advance. Considering the penalties and hoops I would have to jump through if I canceled my reservation minutes before, I get frustrated with Uhaul's behavior. If this was a good business I would have gotten a phone call at least the evening before and not a text message while I'm driving to the location, which is illegal to read in Washington state. I received no apologizes in the store fronts for the move and costumer service on the phone did nothing for me except a link to write a review.
