I rented a storage unit here back in April and I immediately cancelled the reservation the same afternoon. I was told that the service fee could not be refunded, but that everything else would be. I was immediately refunded the lock fee and received an email confirmation. I never received an email confirmation for the refund of the storage fee. At the end of the week, I noticed that the storage fee had not been refunded yet. I called the Vails Gate location and was assured that I had been refunded by the woman who works there even though I explained to her that I was not. I put in a dispute with my credit card company and Public Storage ended up refunding me for the rental fee while the dispute was in process. Now, in July, I have just received a letter that they sent my account to a collection agency claiming that I owe them $263.00. I am furious. I called the Vails Gate location and received no answer so I left a message. After all that they put me through to refund my money, they have the nerve to say that I owe them money and are trying to ruin my credit report. I think not! This whole ordeal has caused so much more of a headache and problems for me than it ever should have. I will never ever do business with this location or this company again and I will be calling, emailing and tweeting whoever I need to to get this matter resolved immediately. read more

I recently opened up my storage unit here because I've been looking for a small extra space in the middle of moving. I was able to get a walk in closet sized unit for a great price because I so happened to sign up during the president's day sale. everything was through the app, even access to open/close the gate! I was able to sign up, be assigned a unit & pay my monthly fee all online and it was ready the next day. The person (I believe the owner?) was very pleasant and helpful! I love how easy the process was. the unit came with its own lock already so that was nice too. so far so good! read more

Price gouging is Public Storage's method of customer service. They increased my fee by 40% just because they feel like it. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they doubled down. They told me to feel free to take my business elsewhere so I did. The promotions are bait and switch. After you move in and are settled, just budget for a 50% increase. read more

Stay away. They doubled my storage rate after a bait and switch initial rate. When I requested the same rate, they refused, supposedly selling my stuff for $10, and presenting me a bill for over $500. This place should be prosecuted for dishonest business practices. I repeat - stay away! read more

Extra Space Central Valley - The employees are great and facility is clean but be careful after your promotional rate expires they practically doubled my rate going from $87 to $167. Ridiculous $80 rent increase in one shot. Employees were not able to get better rate even though we have had up to three storages at one time for beat rv and furniture. They do not care for loyal customers. read more

Careful with these units. I was offered a great rate, 4 months later 25% increase. I was told and email and letter was sent notifying of the upcoming increase, this is not true. Steer clear of bad business practices. read more

You will be hard pressed to find friendlier and more helpful staff then at public storage. John and Ana went above and beyond to make to process as easy and quick as possible. They clearly care about their business. Highly recommended. read more

Great people, great location, gated with time accuse so that not just anyone can get in. The staff is willing to help you out with your needs, the have all kinds of packing stuff that really helps with a move. Pat and Hana are the nicest lady's you could ever ask for and the should get an A++ for their customer service skills. This place when you need help to store your belongings my choice, I've used then twice now when I moved. They have a great move in special and they can keep your stuff safe secure and you couldn't ask for better place. The property is well taken care unlike some others I've seen. So if you have to move your whole house or just get some place to hide the unwanted things in the house, I would get a unit here. I will get another unit here any time I need a place for safe keeping of my things. read more

I went over today to access my storage unit because I went the other day but couldn't get in to the garage because of uhaul trucks parked inside and the parking lot being full. As I entered and one of the two garage doors was out of order (nothing new...it has been for months) only to find that both of the elevators were out of order (at least one being out of order is usually the case). That's a big deal period but especially when I had to carry my belongings up to the fourth floor. The customer service sucks; there's no communication about when the garage doors and/or elevators are broken or when they will be repaired-it takes weeks at the least for things to be reparied. I will be moving my things this month. read more

Yep move in day everyone was friendly until I get the call that they had a flood over the weekend. Went to check it out and sure enough at least 4" of rain water flooded my unit. To top it off I can't even get into my unit to explore the total damage because the ground surrounding it is unstable. I would honestly rate this place lower if at all possible and not based on location or the units. The units are fine and suitable for my needs however the staff is rude and unprofessional. Youre running a business based off money from clients you would think they would know how to be nice. If i knew when i rented my unit what i know now i wouldnt waste my time or my money. They feel they can speak in any sort of manner, its down right disrespectful. read more

Not crazy about these guys for sure. I usually pay at the end of the month (yes I swallow the late fee), yet they constantly call me. The one time I forgot to pay on time (1-31-2015), got socked with a lien fee--WTF! I asked for a break since it was NYE, but the girl I spoke to was useless, just kept giving me the company line. I'm moving my stuff this month, definitely don't recommend them. read more
