This is the second time I've had to use this storage facility and John the manager made it stress free and quick each time.

During the Covid Lockdown and health crisis, Jose at PS made quick and efficient work to get us processed. Clean, secure and well kept we were reassured that we had found the best possible solution to our storage needs. My reservation created online stated $150/month for a unit. When I went to claim the unit, the price went up to $173. Other renters have complained of quick high price increases in 4 to 6 months - mine only took a couple of days. At another time, the ad mentioned a 50% discount for the first month. There really isn't much I can say regarding this place except that their employees and district managers are absolutely disengaged from reality. There is no sense of customer service and the site mangers are so robotic! You can never get an answer from the employees on site and instead of them trying to help resolve an issue by escalating the matter to their supervisor the give you the supervisor's phone number to call yourself! Once you call and leave a message, she says she'll get back to you in 48 business hours...NOT! Still waiting 4 days later. They are horrible, maybe this will get me a call back Jessica! read more

The hours are great. However, after getting locked in the property on Thanksgiving, getting a 15% increase within 30 days, getting a book answer when I called to complain with no kind of discount or credit, I made it a priority to empty my storage room. read more

I rented a storage unit in April 2016. It is now 5 months later and the rate has increased nearly $40. I understand receiving an increase after a year, MAYBE. When I called to discuss the issue, I was told to read my lease. Thank you "Judge Judy". I asked her how she would feel if she moved into an apartment and was increased in five months. She said I could call corporate but they would tell me the same thing. Moving is always an expense. This underhanded company will be reported to Better Business Bureau for sure. My suggestion is to find another Storage ... one that will not back you up against the wall. Hiring a moving truck to transfer my belongings is not an option at this point. I have had a unit at 354 Route 6 Mahopac going on 2 years it's the biggest unit that they have . Started paying $295.00 then I had to Pay for insurance $15.00 not a deal breaker . 3 or 4 months in to my rental I got slammed with a $55.00 increase was not happy .Do you now what they said about it Well if you don't like it you can get another place. Really that's how you treat people well thanks Corporate for you!!!!! I can't believe that a Corporate place of Business would treat tenants. I was out of town this week for a family Emergency so I didn't have time to send them my payment guess what they did to a customer they changed my $435.00 for being 5 or 6 days late. Remember I have been there for almost 2 years PUBLIC STORAGE you can go to Hell may be you have to go to school to LEARN how to treat Customers every thing is not about money that will be the last payment that I will ever pay this company in my Opinion I would not even give them any stars -5 . I really feel sorry for the people who have to work in the office because they have to hear all the shit that people complain about. Do you know what is really funny about this is that Public Storage does not give a crap about this. If this was my business I would never let people be this unhappy. Renter beware, after less than 6 months they raised the rent for my unit $31 per month without notice, claiming it is for "maintenance"????? ... try to get customer service on the phone and good luck they don't call back either....well they finally called back, now say it is increased due to prices in the area instead of maintenance... this was a real bait and switch with pricing, I would never have chosen this location since the price right next door is still less.... read more

I have had a unit at this location for over three years. The location is always clean, well-lit and safe - I never have a creepy feeling as I did at my former storage facility. Customer service is always great and if there is ever an issue, it is resolved immediately. I just wish the rates would not jump as much and as quickly as they have - I understand the economics but perhaps long-term price lock might be a potential option? I would totally recommend Public Storage. read more
