I told her I was looking to move in a little over a month's time intra-state (so not exactly long distance- right at the border at 150 miles away) with a 1br apartment. With a few other details, she told me they had a special running and I could get 2hrs loading, 2hrs travel, and 2hrs unloading including 2 men and one moving truck for $1095. I said great! I got her number directly and said I'd call in a few weeks when my moving date was firm. Cut to earlier this week. I called Michelle last week and had to leave a message as there was only VM. No callback by Tuesday so I called again. Again I got her VM so I left another message and called the main company line. I first got transferred to the local sales dept and my call was dropped after ten minutes of obnoxious static noise. Then I called again and got transferred to a lady who seemed shocked at the price I was quoted and said "Michelle is my friend, let me get ahold of her first" and I was then put on hold for over 45 minutes before I realized I was being put off and hung up. I called again and got a guy who questioned me as he said they don't have trucks they only have pods and they will pick them up but the wait is about 5-7 days before they could then take it to my new place... he then transferred me to another person who then said he has no idea how that quote was made but the same details I told him were now running up to $1900!!! I still haven't had a call back from Michelle...or anyone else for that matter. It is obvious this is a crappy company with no coordination between employees and no one who can give me a straight answer or return a simple phone call. Cowardly and unprofessional. I will never work this hard to spend money at a business which is so shoddily held together!!! Take your money and go to a highly reputable national company which is bonded, insured, and consistent above all.

You have a concierge to answer questions when you purchase & a dispatcher to tell you where the movers are via text and/or phone call. A $400 down payment is required. Our rate was $160/hour all inclusive, no minimum # of hours required. We had about 25 items moved, all big stuff like mattresses, washer, dryer, couch, dressers... it took them 3 hours, including 25 minute travel time. All payment can be made online via PayPal. Tommy, Mark and Matt, our movers, were phenomenal. They offered to move any item we wanted & were great conversationalist. While they deserved several breaks, they didn't stop until they were done. The service, friendliness and communication from booking the appointment to the last item moved exceeded my expectations. In general, hiring movers is worth every penny. I can not recommend Local Anything enough! The only complaint I had was they arrived an hour and a half later than the 2 hour buffer/service time. Though they quickly made up for that small annoyance.

It took them way longer than expected to complete the move (12 hours one day and had to come back the next day to finish for 8 hours or so!). To make matters worse, during our move (8/11/2019), the movers scratched my hardwood floor but were prompt in recognizing the issue and submitting it right away to their "Claims" department (I doubt there is such a department as I have yet to receive a call from them or anyone from this company in the matter). I have been calling them constantly to follow up on the claim as I am in the process of finalizing a sale on my house and have still not gotten a resolution. I keep getting the run arounds every time I call them and never get any followup call backs as they always promise. It's 8/30/19 today and still no resolution and I am closing on my house in less than a week. My latest call conversation was on Wednesday, 8/28/19 and the representative promised he would give me a status update on the same day and still nothing 2 days later. Mind you, when they were partially down with the work on the first day, they requested payment to be made right before they could leave my house but it's taking them weeks to even attempt to process my claim. SO FRUSTRATING TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!!! NEVER USING THEM, EVER AGAIN!!!

Quan drove our stuff down that same day and we were able to get our stuff the next day. I called the customer service line (Dana). I asked why my dumpster was dumped early and stated that they needed to come move it immediately. Dana replied saying that she confirmed it would be early and that she isn't sure if someone would be able to move the dumpster that night. I explained that it had to be done because my girlfriend car is blocked in and had to work later that night. Dana said she wasn't sure if it would be moved. At that time I asked why the dumpster was delivered early and why she said contact was made when in fact it wasn't. Dana had no answer for that and said she had to go call other people and hung up at that time. I called back and Dana said that she wasn't sure if she could fix the problem and was waiting to hear back from the driver. At that time I asked to talk to her boss and stated that I would like a refund and to have the dumpster removed, and to which Dana stated "I am the boss" and hung up for the 2nd time. Dana called back after some time and said a driver was coming out. When the driver came I had a calm and pleasant conversation with the driver to which the driver stated that Dana was NOT the boss but Randy was the boss. The driver stated to call Dana back ask ask politely to talk to Randy. I called Dana back for the 3rd time and stated that I would like to talk to Randy. Dana refused to put me in touch with Randy or any other person. When I asked Dana for Randy's phone number Dana replied "You should have asked the driver for it". And proceeded to hang up for he 3rd time now. In attempt to call back my number is blocked and no response on a refund from the company yet.

So, be careful if you are on a budget and don't want to be nickeled and dimed with excess fees. By the way, my concern was not received well by management. He hung up on me.
