Honestly, I was nervous Local Anything was a scam because their phone number is in Florida & they were much cheaper than other quotes I received. Obviously they're not :). You have a concierge to answer questions when you purchase & a dispatcher to tell you where the movers are via text and/or phone call. A $400 down payment is required. Our rate was $160/hour all inclusive, no minimum # of hours required. We had about 25 items moved, all big stuff like mattresses, washer, dryer, couch, dressers... it took them 3 hours, including 25 minute travel time. All payment can be made online via PayPal. Tommy, Mark and Matt, our movers, were phenomenal. They offered to move any item we wanted & were great conversationalist. While they deserved several breaks, they didn't stop until they were done. The service, friendliness and communication from booking the appointment to the last item moved exceeded my expectations. In general, hiring movers is worth every penny. I can not recommend Local Anything enough! The only complaint I had was they arrived an hour and a half later than the 2 hour buffer/service time. Worst company I have ever dealt with!!! If I could give them negative stars I would. They serviced my move from the Columbus, OH area to Cincinnati, OH area. My home is a 4 bedroom house with a basement but not everything needed to be moved out. It took them way longer than expected to complete the move (12 hours one day and had to come back the next day to finish for 8 hours or so!). The total bill charged ended up being way more (obviously) than I anticipated.... Way too expensive than the competitors. To make matters worse, during our move (8/11/2019), the movers scratched my hardwood floor but were prompt in recognizing the issue and submitting it right away to their "Claims" department (I doubt there is such a department as I have yet to receive a call from them or anyone from this company in the matter). I have been calling them constantly to follow up on the claim as I am in the process of finalizing a sale on my house and have still not gotten a resolution. I keep getting the run arounds every time I call them and never get any followup call backs as they always promise. It's 8/30/19 today and still no resolution and I am closing on my house in less than a week. My latest call conversation was on Wednesday, 8/28/19 and the representative promised he would give me a status update on the same day and still nothing 2 days later. Mind you, when they were partially down with the work on the first day, they requested payment to be made right before they could leave my house but it's taking them weeks to even attempt to process my claim. I called this company to move furniture I had just purchased from a store. They had a better rate than the company that Home Goods recommended AND they came an hour after I called rather than "some day next week" which is what I was told by the other guys. Tony arrived and was very professional and careful, we followed him to our condo and he helped bring everything up to the 10th floor of our building. Very prompt. Very professional. We had a great experience last week with Local Anything. A large tree limb fell onto our trampoline and was too big to be removed on our own. They quoted the best price after I called 4 companies and made it to the house within hours of booking. The employees were friendly with my tenant's children, removed the limb, sawed it into pieces, and even bent the trampoline safety net back into place. What a wonderful company! We will definitely use them for necessary services in the future. Also appreciated the option to pay online with paypal and the digital receipt. read more

Horrible experience On my moving day they showed up with tiny truck that back is opened. And told me we have to do two trips. I never have seen moving company with tiny pick up truck back opened. I told them clearly I have one bed room furnitures and they assured they can do it. And never mentioned they will bring a little tiny truck. I guess You can use this business for pick up stuffs but not moving. Even if they could pick up things for you but you have to think about your stuffs get wet if rains and get damaged. Let me start off by saying, I have not yet used the service. I was in desperate need of someone quickly who was affordable to pick up some furniture from a rip-off furniture refinisher who did not want to complete my job. The refinisher is begging for a few more days, so I am holding off collecting it from his shop. Anyhow...I contacted a half a dozen people from Yelp and requested quotes. I received quotes from $225-$400. Tomy, from Local Anything Pickup, got back with me very quickly, and his price was SUPER Reasonable. Do not use this company. Unprofessional, ill prepared and discourteous. 1. Late by 45 mins. 2. Arrived with an open pick up truck. Thankfully no rain. 3. Paid $65 extra for blankets and mattress cover. They brought one blanket. 4. Could not disassemble a bed frame. 5. SCRATCHED night stand. Said they did not. 6. Dumped stuff off at one spot and refused to place in another spot at same location. 7. Would not put a garbage can on pick up truck. "It will cost extra". WTF???? 8. "Worst movers I ever saw and I saw alot". A direct quote. In closing, it took me two weeks to compose myself and write this review. I did contact Tommy, phone contact, five days ago. Called to remove an old sectional sofa from my condo. Scheduling was easy that same weekend and they arrived exactly when they said they would! I even received a courtesy call that the drivers were en route. Payment was easy via PayPal and the sectional sofa was removed and properly discarded for a fair fee. BEST delivery service I have EVER used! I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his 50th, and needed a cake and a bouquet of 50 balloons delivered to him. Tommy was the man I spoke with, and he was there every step of the way. He was courteous, cheerful, and professional. What a great experience. They were able to accommodate my last minute request to pick a mattress and have it delivered to my home. They arrived early on in their delivery window, wrapped everything up to make sure it wouldn't get dirty. They communicated with me when they arrived, and when they were on their way. I have to say the customer service of this company is superb! Very impressed....and that's hard for me to be impressed. I live out of state and needed help getting my father's belongings from a nursing home after his passing, and they wanted me to pick them up quickly and could not wait until I arrive in a few weeks. I called Local Anything and immediately they called me! However, later the nursing home changed their minds and told me that they would wait for my arrival. So, didn't get to use Local Anything. I live out of state, and was doing online research to find a courier service to transport live animals in the Columbus area for a relative. I spoke with two different people on the phone (due to shift change) and they were both extremely helpful, professional and friendly. I was happy to learn that all of their couriers are trained in customer service and fully background checked, and they have some who are specially certified to transport live animals. Our case was a little unusual and complicated for a few different reasons, and they were very patient in listening to my questions and needs, and coming up with a solution that made me and my relative feel very comfortable working with them. Moved from Columbus to Florida. Guys on the phone always talked a good game, but overall horrible experience. Kept stringing me along when trying to get specifics on a contract---ended up paying more in the end. They did not call back or email when they said they would with the contract after I had cancelled other movers. Had to pay up front then they shifted dates/times more than once both for pick up and delivery. They had to pick up from 2 locations. First guy was great, but arrived alone with a pick up truck and open trailer---had to help him move stuff. Second team of 2 had tiny box truck and they had to keep taking stuff on and off to get it to fit. Stuff arrived in Florida Sunday night (was originally supposed to be Friday afternoon) with an open trailer that had been covered with tarps. Several boxes were rain soaked and falling apart. To make any insurance claims, they wanted everything unpacked and checked before they left. Discovered after they left that one of the mattresses had abrasions and wood splinters all over the top from sliding back and forth during the move. Maybe these guys would be okay for a local move of a couple items on a sunny day---but don't get them to do a long distance move. read more
