However, my experience with YSP has been an exception to the latter. Ever since the first phone call when I set up my first two units with YSP, the staff has been exceptional in their help, advice and flexibility. I am now renting unit number five from them in my preparation to move abroad once again. They have always acted in ways that serve my best interests rather than only being concerned with their own needs as I have found other storage facilities often do. They are willing to go the extra mile to insure I want to use continue to use their facility. In my history with other storage facilities, the reverse of this attitude has often been my experience with the facility operators usually threatening the fact that they have waiting lists, yada, yada, yada. Almost forgot to mention that payments are done online and are easy to make. You really won't regret using Your Storage Place. Elray and Bill are tops in customer service and satisfaction. If there had been 20 stars, I would have given them that rating!!

I had storage here a few months ago, I believe it was February through May 2025, and I couldn't get…read moreout of here fast enough, I was lured in by a cheap storage sale, and let's just say I learned my lesson about storage sales!! First, I learned that the price you are getting for the storage isn't locked in, and they can and WILL RAISE your $$$$RATE$$$$ASTRONOMICALLY!!! So be prepared at least. The second thing I learned is cheap storages aren't usually very clean and clean storage apparently isn't cheap! Except here it wasn't clean or cheap for long. I know that most storages aren't the cleanest most sterile environments and I don't expect them to be, I always bring a little dust broom with me when I move in, as well as some borax and moth balls to keep creepy crawlies from nesting in my stuff. I never bring food related anything anywhere near my stored goods, but I guess at this DUMP I was the only one who thought about pest prevention! I had an outdoor unit, and not only was this place CREEPY as can be, with none of the lights working and turning on with your motion as they were supposed to, but there was also RAT DROPPINGS!!! ODOODLES AND OODOODLES OF RAT It was so bad that I was even able to pinpoint a few of the other customers who seemed to have a trail of it leading to their roll up door, I left a polite note explaining that we shouldn't keep food items ever in storage or even any cooking wear, since rats have excellent senses of smell and other traits which allowed them to live under the noses of especially dirty or just careless or possibly really uninformed humans for so many years and years, and years! It was so gross, I had to actually take some borax and some Clorox bleach in powder form I got from smashing the tablets up in a bag than I generously pixie anti- rat dusted my belongings and boxes liberally. However, the problem got worse, I don't know if the people whom I suspect brought food in their just didn't care or perhaps my polite and informative letter about how gross these conditions were upset then to the fact that they would exasperate the problem more, but for whatever reason it got worse. I know they are prolific little breeders, so it's possible that it was just the natural reproduction habits of the rat making such a stinky mess, but the hallway started ti smell like rat piss!! HARDCORE RATPISS STENCH!! I was not a fan of this scent, so I started making plans to roll out, which wasn't hard considering the rates had TRIPLED and it now stunk like rat piss in the hall way. I started to go through my belonging and when I picked up one of my guitars I realized that there was a hole chewed thew the guitar case!!! But luckily for me that was the only damage was the guitar case and a few books they looked like they had urinated near the books or some mysterious liquid made a nasty stench I assume it was rat piss!! Gross!!! In addition to the grossness I encountered and believe me I was very grateful it wasn't worse cause I had only 6 little nuggets of RAT POOP in my unit area, so I'm guessing I didn't get the brunt of the colonies little eating and pooping rat parties they would hold, more than likely due to my proactiveness in using borax, bleach, and mothball floor sprinkles!!! Some units had MOUNDS of the RAT POOP in front of the doors like the rats where marking to each other where the poop party world take place was!! Seriously mounds of it. The guy that worked there for public storage I didn't get his name, but I would rather have done business with the rats . As his personality or lack of one I should say was horrendous. One time in the spring I pulled up and had lugged some others things, in and out and fixed all the boxes so that if I needed any thing from there it would be somewhat accessible to me- apparently, as I was awake since 430am this particular day, and I was working in the storage for about 2.5 hours lifting some heavy stuff with just myself to lift, I was quite tired, when I decided to sit in my car and take a energy drink break, I got the energy drink out and never even opened it, before I dozed off in my front seat of my car. I got woken up by Mr. Personality the "manager" I use that term loosely ! As this is what he was by title apparently not by action or by demeanor by any means!! I'm a long-time customer of Public Storage. I currently have 2 units in different cities 1700 miles…read moreapart because I travel for my job. I need to put a vehicle in storage so yesterday I searched for a unit at a Public Storage nearby snd found a 10x30 that cost $250 (!!!) but was "On-Sale" for half price. When I tried to book it, the price automatically increased back to $250. I just got a call from the Public Storage facility and they told me I didn't qualify for the price they were advertising because I was already a customer. So if you are a customer of Public Storage, they think they can blatantly fleece you. Good to know. Fortunately, there are tons of other storage facilities out there. I could move out of my other units PS units but on the other hand, those sites have never tried to take advantage of me.
