I'm a Publix fan because no matter which one you go to, you can expect quality meats, fruit, and veggies. Also, it will be clean and well lit and the company does a good job training the employees in the area of customer service. This has been my experience. This Publix is always, always so busy man. GGGGaaahhhhh Leeeeeeee! I can never park close and there is a never ending line in front of the sub station (but I understand...they're the truth). I'm glad they have Aprons available and the recipes, which I love. Also, I love their coupon program because they don't mind taking off multiple coupons for the same product (restrictions apply). The Deli department makes overall good food. It just takes so long for them to make it and they seem to not know who's going to do what. It's been two times since I've ordered online and waited over a hour for two subs. I mean that is ridiculous and unprofessional! People have things to do. Publix's has incorporated an online ordering system in place for a reason. Also, they don't have enough diversity in this location. Don't bother with ordering a sub online. What is the point of placing an order online, having to wait 30 min before you come to pickup your sandwich if they aren't going to start making that sandwich until after you arrive 10 past the time the sandwich was supposed to be ready? I was in a rush and hungry so I decided this would be a good option. I ordered at 1204 pickup time was 1235, I showed up at 1244 and no one had even stated my order. I'm not a stickler when it comes to most things because the lines and number of orders people they can be working on in any one day can be quit extensive. This was not the case. 3 customers in line at the deli counter. My sandwich was not even started by the time I was able to get someone's attention. I like publix as a store but I just can't get with their prices. I mean it's generally the same items you see at Kroger just at a higher price. I can say the produce is always fresh but never quite ripe yet. Also, this particular location is on the small side so the selection of items is kinda small. GET YOUR CRABLEGS STEAMED AT PUBLIX Camp Creek! We have had many crab legs from many restaurants and stores. Being from the island we were raised on crab legs. We decided to venture to Publix for crab legs fo a romantic dinner and were skeptical at first because it was coming from a grocery store. We were thoroughly surprised to taste the ones we had seasoned with old bay. The prices are reasonable and the people who work in the back as fo the date of this post are excellent. Thank goodness for options! I was so excited when this Publix opened with Camp Creek Marketplace 6 years ago. Based on the parking and long lines a lot of other people were excited too. Thanks to the Apron's counter I've expanded my palette and recipe books. Nestled centrally in the heart Camp Creek Marketplace, everything at this Publix is great except for the bakery. Sure the deli, seafood and checkout lines long during drive time and on Sunday afternoons, but at least store associates and management are friendly. Every time I've attempted to order or simply ask a question I'm almost never acknowledged by bakery associates. Of course I could start the conversation off by saying "excuse me" or "hello" but the bakery associates at other Publix locations always beat me to the punch. After giving this bakery several chances for redemption, if I'm seeking baked goods or a cake these days I just drive to another location. I seriously think the bakery associates should shadow the Apron's counter associates at least they know how to engage and interact with shoppers. read more

This Publix is the closest grocery store to College Park that is part of a quality chain. However, it's not always reliable as I've found many other Publix stores to be. I've had all manner of experiences in this store. It's a mad house on the weekends because it's the only store in the area that isn't Wayfield Foods. If you want fried chicken from the counter, plan on waiting in a very long line. They've got one of those Asian guys on staff to make Sushi, so it's usually fresh and pretty tasty. The beer and wine selection is very good, especially for the south side. The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes very friendly. Sometimes they look at you with that look that says "what the F can I help you with?" Produce is reliable and fresh. I've had a few encounters with the baggers and checkers where they're extremeley friendly with the person in front of me and then hardly make eye contact with me. I've even had baggers walk away so I had to bag my own groceries. I'm not proposing any reason for this behavior, but if you'd like to make your own assumptions, make a note of how I look and think about what type of shopper a grocery store in East Point usually gets. I'm usually the odd man out is all I'm sayin. Lastly, the Camp Creek Marketplace is a disaster for a person who understands traffic laws. Getting to any shop during the weekend or evenings is an experiment in patience. Stop signs and right of way are unknown to many of the drivers in this area. read more

This location isn't of great quality as some of the other locations that I have visited, but it's close. At any publix you expect great quality and service in every department. Well at this location you will get that only in the seafood dept and at check out. Other than that it's just like the average supermarket. I love their calypso cookies they are made daily and usually I can find them at most locations, but for some reason this location is always out when I want some and I have to drive to fairburn! The cookies are so worth the drive and only Publix have these cookies. I still love Publix, the produce is always fresh and I love their fresh baked coconut custard pie (simply delicious). Also, they usually have someone preparing new hot dishes, they give me good ideas for dinner and I love the different recipes. read more

I can't take a pic of the sandwich because I only get mushrooms so it looks like something a kid would order lol. If I wanted a skimpy sub, I'd go to Subway next door. I have NEVER had a complaint with Publix service anywhere until today. The deli was crowded as usual and the clerk couldn't make the woman in line ahead of me her selection bc he said he didn't know how. He proceeded to construct my sub and I asked for extra mayo. I do not exaggerate when I say that this man took five very small portions to give me what I wanted. I then asked for extra tomato, he gave me four slices bc I didn't tell him how many to give. Everyone knows that four slices do not constitute extra. I then asked him how long he had been working there and he said, " quite a little while", but was unable to complete another patrons order. I had to correct him in almost every aspect of my request for most ingredients I chose. I.e. add enough ingredients to cover the sub from end to end-my personal pet peeve. I am VERY displeased with the service I have received at this location (at Camp Creek in Atlanta) from the deli staff. On February 22, 2017 I ordered a sub for pickup through your online services (pickup # 1056-8142). Unfortunately when I got back to work, 4 out of the 7 toppings that I specifically selected for my sub were not on the sandwich. I was not able to return the sub because of my work schedule, hence me ordering online to pick up, so I called the deli and explained to a team member (who conveniently did not mention her name) to explain my dissatisfaction with my sub. The team member proceeded to instruct me to come back the NEXT day and ask for the manager, named TEESHENIA GROVES to receive a new sub, free of charge. Today, February 23, 2017 when I arrived into the deli and spoke with Ms. Groves, she explained to me, after waiting for twenty minutes, that I would not be able to receive another sub because I did not have the sub from the previous day. Never in my life have I heard of a food establishment requiring a LOYAL CUSTOMER to return FOOD that was incorrectly prepared for the NEXT day. I have been a Publix customer my entire life and never have I been so utterly disgusted with the treatment of customers due to the lack of attention to detail from their staff. The online order receipt explicitly details every topping that the customer requests on their sub. So because of the staff's laziness and lack of consideration for your customers, I have been subjected to a waste of money and time for two consecutive days. It is with great disappointment for me to place anything less than 4 stars for a Publix. Quite naturally, I like to think of all Publix's to have great customer service aligned with Chick-Fil-A's customer service. This particular location needs some work. To be fair, this is the only grocery store within the immediate area, so it is convenient for all locals to shop here. With that being said, it results to be the most over crowded and has very slow moving check out lanes. I think it is highly necessary to hire more staff, and perhaps open more lanes or alternate ways for customers to pay quickly. Often when I visit this grocery store, the people standing in line for check out, are lined up halfway down the freezer aisles. This becomes a hassle for shoppers. While checking out, I have seen employees so engaged in conversation with each other, that they end up being the result of a longer than normal line. I always see the manager on the floor, trying to make things right, however the population might be challenging for one person. I hope Publix can brain storm some ideas for next year to cure this over crowded problem. read more

The bakery is an absolute nightmare. Placed an online order 2 days in advance for cakes to be picked up at 8:15 AM. Arrived late (8:50) and one, I was standing there with 4 people just looking at me. And two. THE FREAKING CAKES WERE NOT READY. Thus making me stand around for 10 extra minutes. This location is convenient to my client site but something being convenient sometimes isn't worth it. Horrible horrible horrible!!! They messed up my god daughter's cake order first. My best friend downsized her cake because it was going to be too much cake left over. They failed to do that and still tried to charge her regular price!! The next day I picked up my daughter's cake for her birthday and the cake was completely wrong!! I ordered an Little Mermaid 10 in cake and 24 cupcakes. The cake was a rainbow cake. I politely asked them to do it over and they still couldn't get it right. Thank heavens for this Publix! Our area has a very, very limited number of quality grocery stores. Because of this, this Publix is often packed. I would not recommend going around lunch time or on the weekends. You'll be circling the parking lot looking for a space like it's the day after Thanksgiving a the mall. My favorite time is to go on a Sunday morning - it's as quiet as can be. For the most part, the staff are super friendly. When it's raining, it's like they make it their mission that no customer get a drop of rain on them. A downside - they're not great about expiration dates. I've often bought products that should have long shelf lives and noticed they were about to expire.... or, I've bought things that were expired. For instance, I bought a type of cheese there that was expired (didn't bother to take it back because it's such a hassle to get in and out of there). For at least a month they had other containers that had expired on the shelf. Also, they could always use more cashiers and registers open - always. read more

Staff are friendly but not the most professional. They discuss who got fired, other internal topics right while they are check you out. Lines are also long. Inventory isn't consistent. Sometime they have certain precut fruit, sometimes they don't which isn't the case w other locations. Unlike other locations, the produce dept isn't service oriented. They hesitate to assist w any special requests or flat out lie. They are almost always out of the cored pineapples. I've contacted corporate and was told they should make it daily or can provide if they are out. This location rarely has it. So I asked and there's always an attitude. Meanwhile, they chat for minutes on end w each other about schedules, social chat. Pharmacy staff are professional and fast. Parking is horrendous but that's not a slight against the store. read more

On yesterday I choose to patronize this establishment due to the ticket master. Upon entering I quickly got into the customer service line, i held the second place. Moments later a cashier walked a customer from her register over to the customer service register, where she proceeds to place this customer at the front of the line. The gentlemen in front of me immediately spoke up. The employee that was running the register "Nene" ignored him. I then spoke up and Nene ignored me. A LOT of holiday food shopping in my years, and this was the best experience I have ever had! there were clerks in the isles helping everyone find what they needed, and no cashier was more than 3 people deep in waiting lines.
